  • There's always a way out if timed and performed appropriately. In this video, Jared Jessup and I look at some of the most useful arm lock escapes that will get you out of some of the most common arm lock energies you're likely to encounter at all levels.
Also included is something I refer to as the "Fishhook Principle," which pops up in submission situations quite often and regulates important aspects of how to apply and escape them. This is something I plan to explore more in-depth in future videos.
Please remember that you can Join my channel here and/or join my Patreon.com/KnightJiuJitsu for more detailed class instruction weekly.

Never give up your wrists in a grappling match. If I get wrist control on you, you're gonna be hurting. I know how to take someone down with a simple wrist control throw faster than they can blink. Lay 'em out on the grass and make their head spin and knock the wind out of them. Wrist control leads to the arm bar technique.

    I've got a question, Sir:
I've been doing Taekwondo since the beginning of 2019 (January), and I am a while belt in it right now.
But I've got a big interest in Jiu Jitsu as well. Is it good to do 2 sports at once?
I've been watching many of your video's now and it really got me into Jiu Jitsu.
I'd appreciate any advice from anyone.

An educational and potentially arm saving video... but with such low volume, I could not even begin to understand anything being said. It's NOT hard to go back and edit the video, and increase the volume on it. Your viewers shouldn't have to.
