"Whiskey in the Jar" is an Irish traditional song set in the southern mountains of Ireland, often with specific mention of counties Cork and Kerry. The song, about a rapparee (highwayman) who is betrayed by his wife or lover, is one of the most widely performed traditional Irish songs and has been recorded by numerous artists since the 1950s.

Phil is the greatest irishman to ever front a band . people only talk about whiskey and the boys are back in town but he wrote most the songs . they put out 12 records in 12 years and have a bunch of great songs of all different styles .
Sade covered their song Still in Love with You . Beastie Boys sampled their song Showdown . Dancing in the moonlight is beautiful and very radio friendly. Got to give it up ends up fortelling his own death and hits hard . i could go on for an hour about the dozens upon dozens of great songs he wrote

Great band and great song, along with the great Afro. Dude was definitely of African descent. Hell of a bass player and lead singer
