This is what I love whenever I listen to ANY genre of music before 1998 - the vocals took MANY real takes to get it perfect - not 'I will fix it in post after 1 bad take with "autotune". You can clearly hear how smooth and real it sounds!! None of my music has any pitch altering done to the songs as I want them to sound real. Also many of them are a first take and no edits to remove bad bits. So when they are good - they are really that good and best of all REAL!

For anyone that was raised in the 70s like myself...our ears were blessed with this kind of music all the time. Just turn on the radio. Any band that came out with a new song during that era.. had to bring it! The level of talent was so high (i.e., Led Zeppelin, Boston, Kansas, Floyd, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Skynyrd, ZZ Top, Bad Company.....and the list just goes on and on....that there was no room for junk music.

Kansas is my absolute favorite band. Steve Walsh is the lead vocalist here, keyboards, percussion. Robbie Steinhardt (huge hair) is the violin player and sings lead in some songs. Kerry Livgren is the guitarist (white hair), keyboards, chief songwriter. Phil Ehart on drums. Rich Williams on guitars(tux.), and Dave Hope on Bass. This is the original lineup from 1974's debut album Kansas to Song For America, Masque, Leftoverture, Point Of Know Return, Monolith, Audio Visions 1979. Carry On Wayward Son is from Leftoverture (masterpiece), Dust In The Wind from Point Of Know Return (another masterpiece) Thank you for reacting to my favorite band! By the way, this is Progressive Rock. I hope you react to more. I recommend: The Wall, Miracles Out Of Nowhere, What's On My Mind, Cheyenne Anthem, Magnum Opus, Point Of Know Return, Dust In The Wind, Portrait He Knew, Closet Chronicles, Lighting's Hand, Sparks Of The Tempest, Nobody's Home, Lonely Wind, Can I Tell You, Journey From Mariabronn, The Pinnacle, Song For America, Incomudro-Hymn To The Atman, Icarus Borne On Wings Of Steel, People Of The Southwind, Relentless, Hold On, and Relentless for starters! Great band, great songs! Enjoy!
