Can this be used for bone on bone arthritis ? One of your knee videos said not to- but I have to travel next week for work, and my reloader brace doesn’t work very well since my knee has turned out more. Have a laptop backpack and a suitcase to lug through the airport, car rental etc..... desperate for pain relief that doesn’t involve a knee replacement. Thank you!

My son is a high school senior wrestler. He sprained annkle and kindda hurt knee last week wrestling. He does not want to take a break and still going to practice. Ankle is a little puffy, just a little bit though. Knee not swollen but is unconformable. Anyways he can use tape and use compression sleeves at the same time? If tape comes off when taking a shower can he just use compression sleeves during the whole day to reduce swelling?

I have Xact stretch tape. I used it last night on my knee. The knee feels better, but the skin was feeling irritated so I carefully removed it and it caused blisters... Note I did not follow this video demonstration prior. I followed the directions on the packaging.
Question, why would the skin have blistered? Any ideas?

You probably have some sort of allergy to the adhesive. I would try a different brand with just the tiniest square. A lot of people have reactions to adhesives.

Is it safe to infer that if you’re now making k-tape videos that your older “k-taping is a scam” video might be in some need of revision? 🙃
Personally i’ve been taping my problem foot on and off for 2 years, it always seems better taped 🤷‍♀

Love you guys but those are way to long. Rock tape is good but kt has precut strips. Make sure you use scissors and cut the corners or your clothes will start to peel it off. KT sport is the way to go if your going to sweat or get it wet. If you sweat a ton and it's hot it will peel. This stuff works wonders but if you do your knee it doesn't need to go so high on the quads.

Bob and Brad, I don't know what your stretch scale is, but it looks like you have 50% stretch at half the full length, and 25% stretch at half of the half length.
These are probably explained in the book. Can you let us know, please?
if it's like sewing, it's different. If you stretch an inch of fabric and its max stretch is 1¼ inches, that's 25% fabric stretch. If to 1½ inches, that's 50%. If to 2 inches that's 100%.
Caveat: this would only work if your percentage stretch is the same way.
On a piece of paper, measure un-stretched tape only at the stretchy portion. Mark it on the paper.
    Mark double that distance.
On the added distance only, mark halfway and quarter distance. Mark each:
    100% for the longest
    50% for the middle distance,
    25% for the smallest.
If you need other distances, measure your unstretched distance, multiply by percentage (like 30 for 30%) and divide by 100. Mark this new length on the chart.
Use metric measurement, the math is easier.

Wikipedia is a terrible source for information as anyone can edit it to say whatever they want without information backing it up. As someone who tore some tendons, my meniscus, and crushed the top of my tibia...kt tape can definitely be a savior and does work. It's all about applying it correctly that makes the difference. It's hard to do.

@@LilBit_Everything erm, no. As I wrote, tons of links to info backing it up 🤦‍♂️🤷

    • @LilBit_Everything
      @LilBit_Everything Рік тому

@@sosrope3420 and as I said in my post I have personal experience. I was in a car accident June 29th. My leg was braced against the floor of the car going 55mph on the highway when someone blew through a stop sign in front of my. I turned to avoid them and still hit them on their driver's side went across the intersection and into a deep ditch (since we were out in the country) and hit a tree rolling the car onto it's side. My foot was pushed up into my leg which was pushed up into my knee. I fractured my foot twice, crushed the top of my tibia, tore my meniscus, and a few other tendons. I've been recovering since. I had reconstructive surgery, was in the hospital for 2 or 3 weeks, then rehab for 2 or 3 weeks, and non weight bearing until end of September. Since then I go to physical therapy twice a week, am on pain meds to manage pain, have to use a walker or a cane, and still can't fully walk normally yet. So I'm speaking from experience because I have had knees and ankle issues before from sports back in the day and now as someone still recovering from a major injury. I can not fit into braces properly to be able to wear one, not even the stretchy ones. My only option for additional support once I was able to put weight on my leg again was KT tape and I will forever swear by it's help. It won't heal an injury but it does provide much need support when an injury or weakness is present. I can finally manage most of my own home care by myself because of KT tape. I know this is a lot of information but I just wanted you to have a full picture. You're always going to get mixed reviews when it comes to people in the field and something that is a relatively new treatment or aid. It happens all the time. Wrapping when I was in sports was what first made me think of KT tape when my injuries occurred and I couldn't find a brace that fit well. I don't want you to get the wrong idea. I'm not trying to shame you or make you feel bad. I just don't like Wikipedia as a source people use for the reason I stated before. They do sometimes have articles linked that provide good information but not always. It can just be too biased. I'm just speaking from my own personal experiences over the last couple of years and definitely the last 7 months or so. I live alone, my family is out of town, and I don't have many friends with the time or ability to constantly come over to help with stupid every day things. It's a struggle so I was desperately trying to find something to help me be self sufficient again. I tried KT tape a couple years ago before my accident so I tried it again after. It takes some practice and patience to get it in the right spots and to get the right stretch on it but once you get that figured out each time applying it after is way easier. It definitely helps support weak areas and injuries. Hope the information helped. I'm happy to answer any questions you might have about the process.
