Great job, beautiful drum sound...! I live just a few hundred metres from the superb villa where this piece was recorded, and I can see it from my house every morning...!
2:12 part was cool; that’s all I really have to say about that, but I still wanted to say something 😓 Also, is there a very subtle bpm change from 2:20-2:24? Ty fam
@@alexgarza4513 thanks! Yeah, the resonant side needs to be pretty cranked so that the snare wires can respond and the drum can produce a tone. You don’t want to crank the head so much that the drum is choked though. There’s a fine line. Just takes some experimentation.
My favorite track from exile. I used to play drums to this one..... Charlie was so great. Fine job man.
Thank you!
Great job. Love the vintage kit and sound. Thanks.
Thank you!
Outstanding! And the tuning!!!

Great job! Opens one of the greatest albums of all time!

Spot on. Excellent. One of my fave drum tracks - so much power - basic but not simple... Nice job!

Wonderful.
Thank you!
Outstanding. Great to see exactly how Charlie played this, thanks!

Thanks so much! Glad my videos are helpful.
snare sounds great
Charlie would be proud. Really enjoying all your covers. I've been a stones fan since '82. Play It's not easy off Aftermath. My favorite LP.😋
Thank you very much!
Excellent!!
Thank you!
Great cover! Charlie is so groovy!!!
Thank you!
Man, that was cool to watch. Charlie had that thing, didn't he?

How do you usually tune your snare. Reso slightly lower or higher than batter? Thanks
The resonant side is pretty cranked in comparison to the batter. Batter head is medium high. I don’t ever tune the reso lower for a snare.
@@vintagedrummer79 Ah ive been doing it wrong the whole time, i always do reso lower, thanks! Your supra is aways sounding perfect

Very cool, just need to lift that stick on the 4th beat..
Thanks. He hadn’t started doing that yet. You can clearly hear the hi hat being played on the backbeats in the recording.
no excess "fluff"
