@@pschighlightsI actually hated all 3 calls - the two linemen were both bumping each other, the one on the QB was straight up “no fun allowed” and the FG block was a great play. Absolutely loathe the leaping rule.
@@RP-mi1hvI agree with first 2 but need the leaping rule. It would make it easy as hell if that rule did not exist. Just get your high jumpers, time it and done. Can’t have it especially in front of long snappers.

The dude Stances up without his helmet rather than making any show of trying to put his helmet back on. I mean he was holding his helmet and then just straight up drops it on the ground to flex instead.

Welcome to the brilliant coaching mind of Tony Elliott. What these highlights don't show is earlier in the second half, UVA kicked a FG on 4 and inches from the 25 yard line. It also doesn't show the boneheaded timeout called after 2nd and goal, and it doesn't show the piss poor clock management at the end of the 1st half.
Elliott is legitimately the worst coach I have ever had the displeasure of watching. Breaks my heart as a UVA fan after Bronco Mendenhall returned the program to respectable.
To be fair to UVA's QB, it was coming off on its own.

That's what I was saying. I think he was supposed to make sure it stayed on his head rather than take it completely off.
I think the issue was that he made no effort to put it back on.

It was partially coming off and he took it off to see if it was a catch. U can say it’s undisciplined but it’s pure instinct. But he should’ve realized it right away and put it back on. I think the flag was gonna be thrown either way though. If that was the only big penalty, I’d say the qb lost the game but it wasn’t. The other flags were completely due to lack of discipline. Therefore, they should’ve lost the game and they did. Gg

I'd just keep the picture of the QB pose with the 0-4 record in the locker room for all future practices. If you lack crucial mental in key moments, you'll cost your team the game. Should be a good motivator
UVA has got to be one of the most undisciplined teams in the country. Three very obvious unsportsmanlike penalties in the last 40 seconds to lose the game. How has this coach not been fired?
A better question is -- when will those players be benched?

As an NC State fan, I never thought I would be this mad at “3-1”. Team is making me age too fast
The ONLY bright spot so far this season for UVa is Colandrea. And even he's not immune from making mistakes. But if UVa can keep him from going to the transfer portal (which will be damn hard given how bad this team is) and keep him healthy, he's a stud. He got his first start against my JMU Dukes two weeks ago and torched our secondary for 377 and 2 TDs, fortunately we squeezed out the come from behind win after a 4th-quarter lightning delay. The kid has real potential. Other than him, this team is a toxic waste dump and it starts with the coach. There's a reason they're already calling coach Tony Elliott "CTE"...because of the brain-dead way he's running the team.

Ncstate is one of the only teams that regularly loses games but the other team wins it for them. Last year they Beat ECU AND UNC because the other teams missed thier field goals… A win is a win but State always seems to pull out wins in games that they should lose…. Over and over and over. Good for them though. Gotta say they have has a cupcake schedule fir the last 4 weeks they are gonna get dogged in the future

if any call was going to be made on the last virginia possession it would be a late hit on the passer (i don't think it was) but definitely NOT unsportsmanlike conduct.
Immaturity is one thing, discipline is another. Not seeing the latter instilled by the UVA coaching staff.
I have only seen leaping called as a penalty one other time in football history. Colts vs. Buccaneers on MNF.
It is a more recently enforced penalty, mainly due to injuries to both the leaper and those who many times are stomped on the head/struck by knee in head by leaper.
Man I’ve never seen penalties cost a team a game like this.

Having watched football in an era with Lavaar Arrington. Having a leaping penalty feels wrong. It would be like having a hurdling penalty for ball carriers.
The difference is normally the ball carrier is leaping over a defender trying to tackle them, whereas the leaping penalty is going over either a defenseless player (long snapper) or a linemen already engaged in contact with other players.
