    My biggest reason to avoid gear is I don't want to depend on something that may not always be there. Same reason I don't like hair product, caffiene or jewelry. I just like the fact that I can jump out of bed and do something with minimal effort and still look, function, and live the way I want regardless.

    • @AlexLeonidas
      @AlexLeonidas  8 років тому +12

      That's true, when you get off you'll lose the gains.

    • @jeremywhitfield4556
      @jeremywhitfield4556 8 років тому +8

      Exactly, what if you travel and can't get access. Or if your supplier gets caught or leaves. Or if you get locked up in prison for something random. No access to testosterone or PCT and the gainz are gone.

    • @greyalien4498

    Natural gains are so underrated, everybody thinks if you are natural you will in the best case look like you barely lift, but natural you can look great I talk like the Zyzz type of look (even bigger with higher BF) especially the genetic gifted which btw are not rare like unicorns...not to speak about strenght.

    • @7LeGeNdArYdragon8
      @7LeGeNdArYdragon8 8 років тому +6

      yeah you can look like a little smaller Zyzz if you want to be lean like him. But I suggest 10-12% bf will look good on most guys and you can look close like Zyzz.

    • @Darkokerber
      @Darkokerber 8 років тому +4

      BODYBUILDING JUNKIE
      I used him for a example because everybody knows him...with 12-14%bf you can be even bigger than zyzz. and still carry a six pack.

    • @T0YCHEST
      @T0YCHEST 8 років тому +3

      +BODYBUILDING JUNKIE his body is generic u can reach that naturally in 5-8 years
      and that scares people the only way people can make it a part of their lives if they chose to have fun with it
      people that are strict don't tend to make it like the veteran that says "oh I used to do arms every day." or "i never used to hit legs as much."

    Another great feeling is being about 18 years old and out lifting many adults in there 20's and 30's. I'm not super strong because my bench is only about 235 but that's better then like 70 % of people in my commercial gym. And I'm not too worried if other guys are stronger then me right now. In a couple years I'll be repping 315 on bench and be stronger then people older then me and who are on the juice

    hi, you always upload great content, but i have a somewhat unrelated but important question for you: you always preach neck training for aesthetics, but can't hypertrophy in your neck be bad for your health? many studies correlate wider necks with sleep apnea and snoring, alongside other perturbations of sleep, but i Don't think those studies take into consideration the actual composition of the neck since virtually nobody trains their neck for hypertrophy or strength. what are your views on that? how big is your neck and have you noticed any changes since you decided to make it grow?

    • @MasterP48HD

    Liked and favorited this video. Pretty much all the same reasons I am natty. I can be one of the best on juice and get so much money and fans but I choose to stay natty. Health is the main reason. Also even more than health is self happiness. I think its important to be happy with what you are delt with and no drugs or external sources like calf implants or plastic surgery to look like what I naturally won't any longer. Being happy with one self is most important. Steroids and plastic surgery perpetuates the message of self unhappiness. Steroids for cosmetic reasons fall into that as they wouldn't be happy with their bodies or strength without them. Also plastic surgery is like that for obvious reasons. Sends the youth and others the wrong message and leads to major disorders. Also I am already naturally strong and built and good looking that I don't need the stuff though I'd be better with them. But what will I tell people? That the only way to be the best is to take the stuff which is true but not a good message and also that I wouldn't be the way I am if not for the drugs. I am already bigger and stronger than most gear users. Pro bodybuilders are bigger than me but I am stronger than most of them as I am a powerlifter. Plus most of them take so much drugs that if they were never on drugs they wouldn't even touch me. I have an IFBB pro in my gym and I squat and deadlift more than he ever will. Squat he is a little more but I will pass him and drugs and deadlift I will always do better. Pressing he is better but his upper body blows mine away. I am no slouch in the pressing though and am getting better. Plus nobody even the juiceheads in my gym can out total me in powerlifting. Also don't need drugs to achieve my goals. Short term is a 405lb bench and 600lb squat and an 800lb deadlift and a 250lb military press which are good numbers for even juicers that I can hit naturally or even more. The satisfaction of doing this myself is the best thing. Even when gains stop as they are slowing down as it is I won't ever take them. I will only do trt if doctor says it is imparative for my health otherwise I won't even do that. Also one dude who competes in physique and is jacked is aware of the ifbb pro and even told me that out of everyone he has ever met that I have the best genetics. This guy has played college football and has been to many gyms and competed with many bodybuilders and is aware of the IFBB pro and he still told me that and brought up the fact that I am natural and still no one comes near me in strength and if I juiced I would pull 1000lbs easy which is true. But 800lbs natty is enough for me. That's pretty much why I stay natty. I salute this vid and salute you. We need more people like you in the fitness industry and in general. I too am very simple. Rarely go out unless its to the gym and only see friends rarely and thats when I feel like it and can only count on one the friends I hang out with while having many people I know. I will continue to support your cause. Sorry for the long rant but hope to keep the hope alive for all the natties out there.

    Hey Alex you always say that various types of vertical shoulder presses builds 3D delts but doesnt over head presses put most of the tension on the front head? Wouldnt that cause imbalances and posture problems in the future. Doesnt lateral raises hit the lat head better? Just wondering??

    I have heard that your muscels are of ''better quality'' by staying natural and training hard, you are 100% right and also your natural body will stay almost the same after 3 months without working out when those on the juice will be like an uninflated balloon.

      I see it all the time. Guys get huge overnight. They disappear from the gym for a few months. They come back to the gym looking pathetic. Like the never touched a weight in their life. That's not for me. I always am in shape. I realize that compared to a guy that pins I am not impressive. But at least it is real.

    The kid speaks the truth. I did a typical bro workout program years ago compete with the juice. Got kinda swole and leaned out but nothing freaky. Now I'm pushing 40yo, full natty and actually lift with some knowledge. I've made better gains at this age (though it took longer to show) just by doing it right. As of right now I have no plans for trt. I'm making gains, losing fat and my dick works all by itself.

    i agree completely man. i always use to use the excuse of being ectomorph or alien skinny when i first started. id always say a guy like me needs roids. until i started going hard at the weights an actually focused on my diet. im up 50lbs of muscle in 3 years. weighing at 185 12%bf at 6'2". ive hit PR after PR the past 2 months an my physique has exploded. i went from bean pole to aesthetic as fuck completely natty with just hard work. recent months my bodys responding amazingly. youre also right about the weak grip roid heads. i can lift more on my shoulders an back than some dudes 2x the size of me. i cant justify using roids with these crazy results. especially considering the cost of roids. where im from you can get a whole 12 week cycle of test e, letrozole and clomid for around 300$. its not crazy exensive but i could use that same amount on clean nutrient dense food an have the same results minus the health affects and minus the building bigger muscles but not allowing the tiny muscles to grow with them. Like the guys who are juiced to the gills an dont do rotator cuff excersizes then do a big press an move there form a few degrees an blow there shoulder out. i might be able to justify roids when i get an unreal plateau from my own natty amount of test but even then. hard choice lol

    lmao that video was great. quickly becoming my favorite fitness youtuber. so your low back pain guide is helping me a lot. im doing ghetto reverse hypers and body weight good mornings, buying ankle weights soon, building a tire sled with my dad, I do lat pull downs, adding hanging leg raises tomorrow. I am even considering dropping 800 dollars to get a reverse hyper, that show much I care about it. I have had back pain for 9 months and I hate it. I did yoga forever to cure the majority of it, but now I need the last little bit of pain to go away so I can hop back on a novice program and also strengthen my lowback. Would you think it would be worth it to get the reverse hyper machne? I was thinking around christmas. And do you have any tips besides these to get over low back pain? i have tried the chrio before as well. Im never going to give up. I know through some combination of effort and learning I can get strong, just searching for the right people to help.
    would be cool to see you do some eating videos, and also I know you dont want bigger legs but would be nice to see u do some squats on camera.

      Hey Mike,
      I'm happy to hear that your back is doing better, it's great seeing guys like you applying the advice and seeing changes.
      So in terms of what you can do extra...I think you're pretty covered. If you want a reverse hyper machine make sure it's a good one (westside barbell is best). The feet have to be even with the face to fully traction the spine.
      Also, you don't have to buy the machine if you don't want to, as there are ways of making the ghetto reverse hypers harder...by attaching bands from the front to your feet.

    whole food plant based and you mentioned lentils for protein. Do you limit/avoid meat consumption? jusy try to stay under the 300mg of cholesterol, 25g of saturated fat, and under 1500mg of sodium? I am also curious as to what you eat day to day.

    • @AlexLeonidas
      @AlexLeonidas  8 років тому

      Well my meat intake isn't super high, I usually have lentils or other beans instead..and my diet is like 60-80% carbs so it's never been a major concern for me. I'm like 90% plant-based.

    • @Annon194
      @Annon194 8 років тому +1

      Honestly man I'd rather be taller than shorter. Because when you're taller your potential for muscle is greater. It may take longer but in the end it looks better and you have the potential to be stronger than the shorter guy.

    • @nalydnosnhoj9348
      @nalydnosnhoj9348 8 років тому

      See you would think that, but it's not true. Biomechanically the most optimal height for humans is roughly 5'5. Neanderthals were majority 5'5. These guys didn't lift weights, but by examining the insertion points of where muscle use to be on their bones we know that they could bench 500 pounds at the age of maturity without weight lifting like we do today. Taller guys have greater strain on their heart, bones, tendons, and over all it sucks. For a 6 foot guy arm curling a 25 pound wieght is about as hard as it is for a 5'5 guy to arm curl a 50 pound weight. This all transfers over to every lift. When looking at the squat and dead lift after a person grows to a certain height those movements can actually damage your spine unless your form is spot on. A 5'5 guy has a better center of gravity and doesn't recieve as much stress so he can lift and while form still needs to be there he had more wiggle room so to speak. Being tall is all for show. Look at gymnastics. Most of the guys doing gymnastics are also 5'5 or close to that height. 5'5 is the perfect height.

    Hey Alpha, what do you think of the short range of motion the pro bodybuilders seem to do on all their movements? Seems like crap training to me.

    • @AlexLeonidas
      @AlexLeonidas  8 років тому

      Mostly crap. If they want to do partials they can always use pins/boards or use bands to overload the top.
