      AlphaDestiny hay Alex I'm running naturally enhanced and if I'm not able to complete all the exercise in the workout should I do it tomorrow or leave it for next time ?

    • @Baris2gs
      @Baris2gs 7 років тому

      1. Leave it for next time
      2. To compensate u can do a tougher GPP workout the day after
      3. Do bodyweight movements at home right after ur workout that mimic the range of motion of the lifts u missed.
      Hope that helps :)

      AlphaDestiny hey Alex, the timestamps are really appreciated. can you make this a regular thing?

    • @Terminator-jj4pk
      @Terminator-jj4pk 7 років тому

      AlphaDestiny Yh liquid meals are the thing especially after an illness where uve lost ur appetite and sIe / strength. Good medium to open up your stomach for more food intake. Problem is though not to take too much liquid meals or your stomach will become 'lazy' at digesting something along those lines.
      Another tip is to have a huge carb / protein breakfast, then a huge carb / protein meal after your workout, and for the other meals just have small 400-600 cal high protein meals with plenty of water . This way u will be able to eat the huge breakfast because ull be hungry in the morning and also hungry after the workout, but u can also get in those 3-4 more smaller meals throughout the day
      And if u see a gut coming along without decent gains in muscle, just drop the cals by about 200 - or if ur lazy about counting calories then just add in some low intensity cardio or remove something small from ur meals e.g. 1 tablespoon of rice less in one meal, no oil in the other meal, boiled eggs instead of fried etc

    I love that you brought up how eating food fast makes you not feel full because your brain doesn't register it. This is so damn true. I ate two huge Italian beef sandwiches with provolone cheese and sweet peppers. Probably 1200 calories. I was not full one bit. The two other guys who were eating only ate a little more 1/2 of their beef by the time I ate two of mine.

      Yeah I was a skinny fucker before. Used to take forever to eat my meals. Now I am gaining an appreciable amount of body fat, would not call myself fat but I am at my highest I ever have been. Doesn't help that I dialed down my working out lately due to real life constraints.

    Heres my biggest tip. I was a formerly obese guy (261lbs) and now im down to 175. The number one thing that got me really big was eating food in between my breakfast lunch and dinner. I did this by watching movies, tv series or youtube videos while eating. To be honest everytime i watched something i always made sure i had some sort of food and a calorie dense drink along with me. And trust me if you dont get like 5000 calories a day or more on this method i dont know what to tell you. Try it yourself and you'll pack on weight really really fast.

    i really like the liquid meal tip.. youve mentioned GOMAD before and i think people can learn a lot from the premise behind it. basically drinking a gallon of milk a day allowed me to gain 50 pounds and after I got off the diet, my body was accustomed to eating that many calories a day so I was easily able to maintain my new weight

    What I did was just to force myself to eat a very big and nutritious breakfast everyday. I was very skinny and had just started lifting and wanted to gain weight. I literally ate 4 eggs, 3.5 cups of oatmeal with berries and a lot of honey, an avocado sandwich and a cup of coffee every morning. That's close to 1500 calories so if you do this you literally don't have to think about food too much for the rest of the day in order to eat at a calorie surplus. I just ate a normal lunch, normal dinner and some snacks (probably not good for you but worked well for me) and still managed to gain weight easily. My progress in the gym was terrific even though I ate some junk and drank extreme amounts of alcohol in the weekends. I literally went from 45kg bench to 110kg in 6 months. Same thing for squat, deadlift and OHP. A big breakfast helped me SO MUCH. Highly recommend it.

      Mike Tyson the key is eat clean for the most part and do lots of cardio while bulking so you don't get too fat and then be comfortable at 15 - 20% bodyfat.

    • @TheHonourableGrandMasterJay
      @TheHonourableGrandMasterJay 7 років тому +2

      Fasting! and I don't mean I.F., I mean the biblical definition. Except you drink water. I do a 5 day fast and the end of each month and eat in a surplus every other day (I do this to recomp). Think of it like a monthly deload where you lose 5 pounds of pure fat. Your strength remains untouched. In fact I found my body is alway very anabolic when I break my fast and my lifts, notably grip strength will alway increase right after.
      Make sure you spend the week before your fast eating micronutrient dense foods and have a massive cheat day. Try to eat 6000 kcals. You will hate food and the 1st two days (the hardest days) of the fast will be quite easy.

    • @alexmora2342
      @alexmora2342 7 років тому +1

      Mike Tyson (this is long but just read its good info) I've done this before and it works but u have to be patient try out Bulgarian method without bumping the weight just hit same weight everyday he mention it also on on his last video . (your max) but instead when cutting do this.. do a low intensity exercises like walking on empty stomach first thing in the morning etc.. I remember back then when i would walk hour or so in morning because the whole deal with low intensity and high intensity exercises is that high intensity is short . quick short fast and tires the muscle faster which burns a lot of calories. while the low intensity if u want to burn those same calories it takes bit longer cuz ur not doing anything quick or tiring ur muscles ur just moving at ur own pace which will take longer but that's okay cuz u can save ur energy for ur lifts later. u will still lose weight and also have more energy for ur max load . u should be able maintain ur strength and overall look leaner when doing this method.

    My Favourites for weight gain:
    8-10 pieces of premium/seeded toast with peanut butter = ~2000 cals
    200gm nuts (throughout the day) = ~1000 cals
    2L milk (use this for massgainer) = ~1200 cals
    2 serves massgainer (morning & night) = ~2000-2500 cals (powder only)
    2x canned pineapple slices = 600 cals

    Easy way to add calories to your diet - chocolate (dark is best), milk (or both together - chocolate milk) and nuts!
    All are calorie dense and tasty as well :)
    A (250 ml) cup of milk is ~ 140 - 200 kcal, depending on fat %.
    Chocolate (100 gr) is ~ 350 - 650 kcal, depending on cacao %
    Nuts are ~ 550 kcal per 100 gr
    These are all great sources of nutritional fat, by the way.
    Also, all those foods are highly palatable and easy to consume in large quantities.

    Solid advice here, as someone whos a 'hardgainer' with a 'high metabolism' when i actually started tracking macros and eating in a surplus, ive went up from 11 stone (150 pounds ish) up to 12 stone with a few lbs of muscle for good measure.
    The biggest help for me is my homemade mass gainer shaker over 1000 calories of oats, peanut butter, whey goodness

    i never realized the "eating fast" concept. looking back, when i started gaining 10lb/year, people would always make fun of me for inhaling food instead of eating it at work and outside. it was literally harder for me to eat all the food than killing it at the gym. wish i saw this video 4 years ago, then id be 200+ :D

    When I tried to bulk from 145 lbs, I was constantly sick. I had little muscle and I kept getting stomach pains from trying to carb up. I took a shit in bed, threw up in my mouth, etc. You have to let it come to you naturally. After like 2-3 months of lifting consistently, I got these food cravings and I gained weight easy. I also had these sleep cravings, and slept like 8-10 hours a day...

    Guys giving a great advice, starting from preparing meals(lunch box) in advance. I had problem with gaing muscles(weight).Simply because i used to skip meals. After implementing this rule: lunch box, meals habit i gained 5kg(11.1lbs) from 67kg to 72kg, in the morning after taking sh*t, within 5 months. And my strength is increased during this period as well. In squats from 120kg4*6 to 150kg*4*4 bench press 70kg*5 to 85kg*5 and weighted pullups from 10kg*10reps to 35kg5reps, as well as other exercises.

    Good tips guys and great advice. Also be mindful of what you eat when you’re eating it, helps a lot. Focusing on what your food is going to do for you, your body and health. Just like when you think about the muscle being targeted during a workout. Mind to muscle connection. Mind to food to muscle connection
