Dram was clearly showing discomfort when everyone was laughing and breaking his concentration. If you're gonna be an absolute nimrod, do it somewhere when it's not a professional environment.
I believe that finishing a level with the goal, orb, or key treats it as finishing any other level, taking you back to the overworld and whatnot. Beating a boss will be recognized separately by the game and will have a different result. For example, this is used in Super Demo World (Hack) where the last level has a key exit, an orb exit, and Bowser.
Speed runs will have glitchless categories if times end up being significantly different. A lot of the Legend of Zelda games are like this. Ocarina of Time's current any % record is 19:20 whereas the glitchless is at 3:59:52. I think SMW lumps glitchless and glitched runs for any % because the Orb glitch requires a deviation from the route and doesn't cut out so much time from the glitchless route that it would require a separate category.

This game has such great levels. As a kid, after completed the typical speed run path, I always made it a fun goal to just get 96 levels (star) completed.

He used the bug of 04:28 with him give what you can automatically overcame the level if you use it.
