I just love how you focus on the positives, yet not deny the negatives. I think that is the biggest secret to keeping love alive. If there are wives watching this and feel like “man, I wish I had a man like that”, I hope they stop thinking that and instead make their own list. Maybe there will be only 10, but by focusing on those 10, he will feel it, and soon she’ll have 20... :) Good job, and as always, I love how real you are.

Unfortunately my heart was broken when he passed at 56, that was 12 1/2 yrs ago. So many of the traits in your husband, my husband had. I miss mine everyday and I still love him so much. It was so wonderful to hear you say all the things you did. It's so wonderful to know how much you love him!!! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

What a wonderful way of counting the blessings your husband is to you for his birthday. Don't worry about WordPerfect and what others may appear to be. A lot is left on the cutting room floor. And only what is on the camera is captured for posterity. Love is life we are all living it. We are all trying to figure ourselves out. What is the most important is the direction you are going. If you know that then you have a road to travel together. Love and pick a time each day to call the time to quit. Like a school day. And remember that tomorrow is a new day. ebgbjo2025 it's by a another author. Dr Emerson eggerichs. and I would say it's totally different but maybe you wouldn't. I also have the one of love and respect for the family.
I got mine used from Amazon. They also have the gift version. I did not like that one. Did not get to the depth of the story.

Today is my husband and my 14th anniversary and I thought it was fitting that I found this today. #30 is so relatable to me and I want to thank you for helping me see this as a gift, not as a flaw in my husband. Sometimes I clam up and don't want to talk and he pushes me because he wants to fix whatever is wrong. It is his way of being concerned when I am quiet, not of prying. Thank you for sharing this. ❤

Even though he is tired, he tries to make sure I get a nap or foot rub when he can. He is wonderful in so many ways, and God is good (for many reasons but...) to have blessed me with a good husband. 😊💕

Nolan would be an excellent teacher, especially with older students. If he likes to study and learn he could take courser online. He could use a community college and perhaps test out of classes. Education always opens doors.

Thank you! I do feel God worked out our relationship. I had a lot of struggles with relationships in teenage years, and God was so good at answering my prayers and sending me someone that was perfect for me! God is GOOD!

And the funny thing is that the older I get the easier it is becoming to see through their shiny shell. I had one like him in so many ways...spoiled me and could do everything and was low key and humble, etc. I was very blessed for 40 years. I always wondered if I had any gifts at all and the Lord finally showed me that I had insight and discernment. I couldn't see that for a while but now I am thankful for it. And I recognize it in you. Never underestimate that gift because if you didn't have it you might not even recognize your husband's gifts. You are both very special people. And Xander....well....this is too long already lol!

I loved this video, Jeanine. I also loved the reminder at beginning of your list that things arent always perfect in relationships (I dont think it is healthy when people pretend that they are). Sometimes the hardest times during marriage can bring out the best moments when the couple works together to fix the issues.

It sounds like you are describing my husband....Seriously. When I met the man who became my husband, I was so thrilled that he was a Christian, he had a love for God/Jesus and studying the Bible (which he still does). Also my husband will do anything for me...absolutely anything. I've never trusted many hairdressers so somewhere in the 80's when everyone were getting perms, I wanted one but didn't want to trust anyone at a salon....My husband rolled every piece of my hair up in those tiny rollers , he did a great job. Now this was a man who is a master carpenter...A mans man...He knew nothing about perm rods, but followed my directions and it was great. He gave me probably 5 perms over time after that. He has built me anything I've wanted over 39 years of marriage, he has also taught me so much, how to side a house, put gutters up, put fences up, tear down walls, build walls, tear down a garage, build a garage, roof our house, ...yes I have done it all with him. I have never worked outside the home, he enjoys spoiling me. He is my confidant, my sounding board, the one I run to for everything, my sweetheart, and on top of it all, he is the best lover in the world. He makes my toes curl and my shivers shiver....haha.. You and I got very lucky. I've been told by other women that there are many women who would grab my hubby up, if I don't treat him good......I do.

I love John's calm nature, the way he takes everything in stride and makes a well-timed joke when I'm stressed out. And he's the best travel buddy too. It's so special to see the different side of him that comes out when we're removed from our day-to-day life and the way he rolls with the punches and handles everything. I love feeling like we experienced a once-in-the-universe moment together and saw something that will never exist again. I always tell him he's the baby and dog whisperer, and little kids and animals are soothed by being near him. I have a nervous little dog, and he adored John right away, which is really when he started to win my heart. Them playing together or cuddling up melts my heart. And John will help with his care and make him treats, and he has this voice that's firm but kind when he has to be firm with him. I have never been interested in history, but he brings it to life. He seems to remember every little history detail he has ever heard, and they string together into stories in his mind, one thing causing the next, and it all makes sense to him, where in my mind they're just boring dates and facts. And the encouragement!! I felt that one too. He makes me feel safe, and it allows me to do more and be better. He's calm even when something goes wrong, and it makes me feel better. He's also shy for a long time and then once you know him he throws in these dry little jokes that have me laughing 'til I tear up. He is still so kind and happy after a long day where I would be cranky and spent. And has a huge smile just happy to be home. And yes, I never liked being tall, but he's 6'8" and big and I don't notice being tall anymore! Our wedding is in May, and I'll be honest, the romance disappearing is a BIG fear of mine. Everything is so good now, and I don't want it to change. I'm glad I saw this. It gives me hope and reminds me to be encouraging and grateful.

Thank you for this! I have been so blessed with an amazing husband as you have with Nolan! But unfortunately, I sometimes let life bog me down and I forget to recognize him for all he is to me and our family. Your point that sometimes the things that you love about your hubby is also the things that irritate us the most was spot on! Tonight we had a spat and while we worked it out, this was a great reminder to look for all the reasons I love and respect him! I just wrote down 7 things (quickly and easily because he is so wonderful!) And I think I will give him a little love note each day for the next week to help heal any hurt between us! And I will also start my official list for his birthday in August! You are an inspiration for me to continue to grow in my relationship with God,my hubby, and my family!
