Greetings from Alberta, Canada. What a lovely video. Thank you for sharing about the COPPA situation. We've been a bit unsure on what to do in regards to that. Xander's giggles are SO sweet! Another channel I watch told a little bit of the COPPA, and gave the link, so I already did that, but you shared more of the details.
I don't understand how the FTC can do that, because UA-cam is supposed to be a public forum, and UA-cam is not liable for the creator's content...but who am I and what do I know to say what's right...
Xander is a blessing to watch. In all actuality, your whole family is.😊 You and Nolan work well together and you do have a good man- God created you two to work together. God is amazingly wonderful when it comes to gifts (actually He's wonderful at everything!) Thank you for sharing your family with us. It has been a pleasure to watch.😊
Because instead of everyone treating UA-cam like a private company, free to censor whom they choose (just like a baker can bake a cake for whom they choose), people began stating a public platform gets free reign... Giving the government control.
I am not a fan of UA-cam, but they should have a right to run their liberal business as they please, as we should have a right to use a platform we agree with. But by running to the government for claiming UA-cam was censoring our free speech, the FTC has gotten involved. It is a public forum, but a private company... Same as if a person. Walks into Walmart....public place, private property.
People should have let UA-cam censor and not asked for the government's help.
If the government becomes involved, there are no other platforms to run to because the FTC will control them all.

Jeanine -- don't feel guilty for taking time alone after dinner. You and Xander are a 'mommy/Xander' team all day. In this daytime space and time, you are forming memories of you for him to treasure. Its a balancing act.
Yes, and it's really important for boys and their fathers to have alone time to be guys. The interaction between mothers and sons is important, but without the father time to do what fathers do, the boys will suffer.

Just loved tonight's video. Xander is such a sweetie! All of my children are all grown and some with families. My grandchildren range in age from their 20s to 11, so they're not very young anymore. I miss those baby ages when things were new and exciting. Watching you and your husband interact with Xander is such a delight. Thank you for allowing us into your home tonight. Singing "Jesus Loves Me" was the last thing my precious 85 year old aunt did before she died. She was in the nursing home with Alzheimer's and very confused but her Pastor said that she never missed a word, God is amazing!

Figured out as a new mom 48 years ago that bedtime routine was as much for me as them.It was such a bonding time. Zander is so precious and talking a lot more 🐝 Blessings on you and yours🙏🏻

NJFamily- you do have a routine...reading is a big part of bedtime - not to rush them off - the time you and your husband spend with Zander at bedtime is just as important as anything else.I guess my routine 2as more of reading ,more than one book and at 69 yrs.old I miss it🦋
Jenine I enjoyed this so much. Reminds me of my daughter's bedtime. So many years ago. She will turn 50 next year. I hope your family has a great Thanksgiving. My family will be coming here, as usual. I have so much work to do, cleaning and cooking. It's hard, but my husband Sam is a great help. I have Macular degeneration and severe COPD and am on 24/7 oxygen. However, I try not to let it change too much of my life. Some days are better than others. I will cook the main meal, I have a 21 lb. turkey and a 12 lb turkey breast, dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie with fresh whipped cream, the others will bring some sides and some other deserts. It will be a feast. God has blessed me so much and I am so grateful for my family and the fact that we have so much. We will have a "stranger", a lovely single mother who hasn't got a supportive family. She is a friend of one of my stepdaughters. I have two lovely stepdaughters. My husband and I go to the First Baptist Church every Sunday and our daughters and grandkids go, too. Our lives are by no means perfect, I've failed many times in my life. But I ask for forgiveness and try harder every day. I wanted to share a little about my life, so that you can "know" me a little, tool. Anyway, love to you and your sweet family. Pam

My favorite song of all time is, Jesus Loves Me. Ever since I was a little girl, I have sung that song in my head anytime I felt alone, afraid or mistreated and it always reminded me that I need not worry. Your son is so precious. It will be very sad if I don’t have my favorite UA-cam channels anymore, but you must do what is right for you. It’s just such a shame!

COPPA is a mess, right now! My daughters LOVE music and mostly we follow other kids their age. A lot of them are kids they know I real life. It is hitting our little community of "musical families" hard. My girls can only be online if Dannie (older sister) or I are with them. I think parents have a responsibility to watch their children online

I really enjoyed listening to Xander singing. I wish I have videos of when my kids were young and singing the songs they learned in church. They are grown and their kids are almost grown also. A problem with families being so far apart these days you miss a lot of those precious moments and they are gone so soon. Keep up filming memories that you share with him when he is older even if they don't make it on You Tube where we can enjoy them also. Not sure how I feel on these changes that are coming. i feel the many channels I watch now that are Christian based will no longer be available. i am praying that is not the case but the way the world is going it is a possibility. Wonder how this will affect the Bible studies I do on line. Any idea? Take care and God Bless You.

I have seen numerous comments about UA-cam and listening this from you, i am so sorry and upset. Please continue to share here. I always receive your notification. I have watched one particular video of yours 2 weeks ago and i was procradtinating from telling you how much i appreciate it. "Don't let your circumstances define you", and the song in the end.. and what you said was the very thing i needed reminding of at that particular moment. I was tossing for nearly 3 hours in bed trying to sleep until i watched your video and at times just listen to you with closed eyes; and finally relaxed and i was asleep minutes after. Thank you Janine, all of you for reminding us that goodness never ceased.

It makes me angry that the FTC would be so brutal to these You Tube channels but they allow such filthy trash on TV shows and commercials not only in the content but the speech. I love your channel I agree with you. Family should be watching what there children are watching on UA-cam. I only watch channel that are clean.There is a really good lawyer on UA-cam that explains about the fines pre channel. Praying for you and your sweet family.God is in control. So sweet his singing.

I don’t understand UA-cam. It’s a wonderful way to connect with people around the world, as well as a fabulous resource for helpful content, yet some ‘powers that be’ seem to want to destroy it. As you say, it’s up to parents etc to police what their children watch.
The UK has become a real ‘nanny state’ and it would be a shame if this happened in the US too.

(No, I’m not Mennonite, just sick and tired of poor quality and content) I barely even watch tv anymore and you have been my entertainment. There is so much garbage and drama out there. when I find a good channel with helpful content without profanity and drama, I've scored. (: It's funny, but a lot of my favorite channels, I end up finding out they are mormon. Usually decent and helpful with great family values. I don't agree with their theology, but I really love them! Thanks for the idea of podcasts. Not sure I'd be much good at it, but thank you! (I'm not a big fan of instagram either. Just a bunch of accounts trying to get the best picture, to be the most popular, and portray a perfect life). Not all, but many!

I don't have a Facebook Account and I'm barely on Instagram My Family and i like You Tube that's where we find Wholesome Family Video's like yours and we like our Christian Video's to watch we barely watch T.V. anymore because it's not Suitable for Us as A Family. O love the music at the end of your last Video and we did catch where he said he Peed we LOL😆that was so cute. We as a family know what that is like. Like all your Videos I've been trying catch up. Aw, that brings memories as I sang the same songs with my oldest son. He is now 15 and doesn't want ppl to hear him sing! We have lots of singing at our house though from his younger siblings.
