Full Build: 1971 Cuda Resto Mod From Stock To UFC Street Fighter

- Опубліковано 18 тра 2021
- PowerBlock's MuscleCar pays tribute to UFC President Dana White and the fighters of the UFC with this step-by-step build of this serious resto mod. Unlike typical celebrity cars made to be looked at, this bad boy is made to be pounded. It has raw Muscle Car power and classic '70s styling, but is improved with state-of-the-art suspension and brakes. The UFC Street Fighter Cuda is one of the most popular projects ever built on television.

*God, the engine and engine compartment are so clean. You can't take your eyes off it.*
I see Dana thought the same of those UFC Cutout Logo’s as I did, and Nixed those ornery looking things for the 440’s. Good choice Dana!!! 🤙💯
I agree but take note at the end of the video. The UFC decal isnt there. It's 440. Wonder what happened there.
@@rikwilkinson1451 Exactly what I said! He told them those ugly UFC’s had to go, & had them go with the 440’s… Maybe I misunderstood your comment, But you literally said the exact same thing I said! 🤷♂️😂
@@tripleeathletics lol no... I didn't read yours correctly. Lol either way we both like the 440 better! What a sick car!

@@tripleeathletics but bro take note.. They're not there..
Nice to see a whole bunch of you noticed the logo change. I thought I was seeing things. Feel bad for the people who had to redo that part. What a pain it must have been. The car turned out sweet though.
I freaking miss waking up Saturday mornings just to watch the show is ridiculous. Great memories.
אתם מדברים יותר מדי...
Back in 94 lol I feel you brother
I love these long build videos. I could watch these all day long every day.
Yea same
i watch these and power nation also has good long builds
Sure passes the time at work!
The UFC logo on the doors was either never actually applied or was removed and replaced by 440 by the time this build was completed. However, this is absolutely gorgeous. One of my fav builds.
not only was it removed the carbon fiber paint job was deleted as well lol .... still an awsome build
Love watching you fellas work, great Job. :)
Awesome. Another full build videos. 👍 I'm going to grab a drink and then watch. Love these. ❤️
You guys are so accurate and efficient, it's a pleasure watching the completion of the project. I feel that you two are one of the best in this industry . Congratulations gentlemen...
Yeeeaaahhh did you see how they not cleaned the rust in 9:40 and welded the mount outside the rust?? Very profesional (to rot when driven in bad weather) :D
I love watching these videos. They inspire me to make my own cars
This is amazing 🔥
I'm from 1971 and a green/black Cuda with 4 headlights is my dream car...here in Italy it will remain a dream until I win the lottery 😁
As a Mopar guy they def did all things u need clean awesome build I have a 66 Cuda 800 hp 340 street/drag car cool to see a car built to turn well mine def isn't

Love watching these video. I wish I had the time, money, tools and more knowledge on doing this. Looks so fun & rewarding. Keep it up!
Thank for your sharing. This is the great job.
Dana.. Im living vicariously through you on this one Brotha! Cuda all the way..
Beautiful and amazing job on it
I must say these boys did a fabulous job!!.Damn, that thing is beautiful!..I fell in love with it on the first sight ❤️🌹😂😂😂.. suspension, colours and the creativity!!..
Beautiful job 👌
I just love watching vids like this. I take my engine apart every few months just to make sure everything looks good and to catch anything before it actually blows. And working on cars is my medication
you pull an engine and completely disassemble it and reassemble it every 90 days? i call 100% bullshit, not only is that pointless, its also stupid as fuck
I call BS too. But some people do it for racing. A few heavy pulls on a high performance race engine and it’s cheaper to tear it apart than risk blowing it up. Some are 30k crate engines.
I would give this show 10 stars out of 10, it was so exciting seeing the smile on Dana's face as he saw the brilliance of you guys work. a picture is worth a thousand words, I would love to have one of those 71' Cudas by you guys but I just can't afford it. In 1971 my last year of high school me and my friend Fithard, John Adams High School, in Cleveland, Ohio, Fith took me for a ride in his 440 red Cuda and wow, wow, wow. The only way to return the favor was to take Fitch, and his date, and another couple and his date, me and my date to the senior prom in my dad's 71' light green Cadillac Sedan DeVille, what a day. The Cuda was my highlight, power that massed you back in the seat, i'm 70 now and I will never forget. You guys are truly amazing in your work.
Gent’s thanks for sharing and making this show. You are true artists!
I haven't cried so much since my first child was born! I'm not sure I should have watched this... I'll never be happy again in my lifetime!
Pure masterpiece, well done guys ! Great engine 440, sports suspension, exhaust, paint, etc.
I'd like to have one of these in my garage asap :) Still I'm 1971 too ! ❤✌🏁♈
What I like the best, that shaker cover looks a lot like the 'Predator' mask. Brilliant.
I loved this build
Absolutely Beautiful.
My grandpa has a 1970 Cuda it’s beautiful
rake his lawn, take out his garbage and hang out with him.that car is worth big money son
Top notch craftsmanship
I'm a Ford guy, actually building a 70 Torino GT Convertible restomod myself, but your car is on a whole other level!
I love that year I'm not really a ford guy but I would love that car like it's my child
Uma das melhores equipes de restauradores de veículos que tenho notícia nos EUA, com mecânicos, fuzileiros, pintores da melhor qualidade . Parabéns e tenho certeza que o resultado será fantástico.👏👏👏🤗😃
Cool! Another rich guy garage queen! Put the cover on before it gets dusty!

G'day from downunder Australia 👍

This is such a cool car
Awesome video. I remember the orginal episodes. The 1971 cuda is my favorite mopar. One day I'll build a hemi clone.
What year this original episode broadcasted?
Yeah what year was that?
@@vincealince_SRT 2009 maybe?
@@CrankAddict noticed the market year on end of show, thanks
Wow what a ride
These fellows always make putting these projects together look like building with legos. Lots of talent and dollars. watched this video twice.
Well to be fair they are professionals with YEARS of experience, also they have the magic of video editing where they can make all the frustration, cursing, mistakes and do-overs just non existent
I love Cudas!
very good project classic car I like
back in the early 2000's where people gathering not to argue but just for fun and the satisfaction of a man's creation.
crazy car
You guys are incredible it was a pleasure watching the evasive work done .
My all time favorite car
Nice, i like
This is my favorite car since I'm 15 years old
Glad to see 440 on the Billboard instead of U.F.C. Well done Guys well done ! .
I love Detroit muscle cars really informative program, I'm not a mechanic or anything. I just like to see them restore the cars fascinating
I had a 1971 vida with a 318, it was red with white interior, I beat the crap out of it, and then seeing these cars selling for huge dollars makes me wish I still had it.
Good grief! A slant six in a Cuda is like a four banger in MAC! Sick!
Wow what a car
Jus checking all the other comments who noticed the 440 change.
I think after a bit of driving, Dana White wanted to get rid of it. And figured swapping that out would help resale. Too bad, it came out shitty, could of just ordered the factory decal.
@@jasongaudreau2075 I mean that's before they gave it to him. Most likely Dana didn't want everyone to know it was him while driving it.

Good video, dope car!!
This is a wicked ride, I own the 66 barracuda first back
That's a wicked ride!
Estou muito feliz com esse vídeo
Excellent job 71Cuda a likely hemicuda car
1:15:23 UFC wasn't on the side of the car. Now it says 440. I know I'm not the first to point this out but I thought I would give it a time stamp 😝👍
Same here.
The car colour is super nice
Los felicito exelente éxito
Beautifull muscle car
So, I have a workshop with a nice MIG, proper cut off saw, various air tools and I've just loaded my Cuda project with a truck load of billet aluminium parts and crate motor, thumping sound system....and I'm sweating on a Panhard that's gonna set me back $200.... Riiiiiiight.
Great vid though. Mopar!! 🤘🤘
This video alone earns a SUB from me. UFC is the #1 thing I have been into since 1993 when it started. I was confused by the title UFC Streetfighter because UFC fighters do not fight in the street. There are only a couple fighters RIP Kimbo Slice, and Jorge Masvidal (BMF) that were street fighters before making it to the UFC later on in their lives. Anyway my #2 thing in the world is Automotive. Anything with an engine/motor. Anything you can modify and make perform better. So I will watch this episode and probably many others
Dodge/Mopar is also my #1. Dream car is 69 Charger and I don't care what variant. Start at the top with a Daytona and work my way down. 426 Hemi, 440 six pack, 383, 360, 340, 318... like Pokemon.. Collect em all!
The car is a street fighter. Just like they built a Roadrunner called the Road Burner.
Ha ha ha really? You don't get why they named it "Street" fighter? I'm sure it'll come to ya.
Nice
Nothing beats American Muscle cars. raw Muscle elegance.
I'd love to see you guys doing a67 Chevelle Supersport.... my favorite muscle car.. 😅
Looks like Dana put the ixnay on the UFC logo and told them to change to 440.
I noticed that too. Wonder why.
@@jpangt1011 didn’t look right at all!!! All deformed! They should of run it true approval. As a graphic designer… you never mess with a logo. It look to much and not enough as the official logo.

And its the wrong font so it looks like shit.
It did look awful.

I agree that the 05 on up Mustang rack is better than the Fox chassis's. I have had a 87,90,94 Mustang, I have a 12 and a 20 now. The 12's steering is very good, the 20's is a Track Pack GT so it's steering is about the best I've driven. I kind of wish they would have put the UFC logo on instead of the 440. However, the UFC logo on the seats is very sweet. Keep up the good work, I like the faux carbon and candy paint as well, very nice 'cuda.
Yes!! Finally get to see this after so long of a wait! One of my favorite project!! Man’s man car!!

Sweet Cuda
Hay quá em ơi
Actually had 2 e-body 71/72 CHALLENGERS 72 was stolen had starter rebuild on my 71 Engine had about 8K trans 600miles rear end less than 300 miles
sold it in 2001 urgggggg! with a spare 727 trans and 8 3/4" pig unit with 3.91 need a yoke new bushing keep up the good work!!
Muito bom 👏👏👏👏👏
mantab bro, seniman modifikasi.....
My all time favorite car.
Well thats an awesome idea getting a 6cyl baracuda and changing it to a cuda. Im getting tired looking for a unicorn hemi cuda, this seems a better way and a 6spd trans with the 4:10 gears would make it streetable..
Perfect except for the wheel/tire combination. A mini-tub with some 335’s out back would’ve been awesome.
No
Don’t know about the tubs, but those wheels are awful on that car.
That's what I was thinking

Building them headers. You should add a flow con where the 4 pipes come together on a Dino 15 horse by doing that.😮😊
Hey guys you doing good job Seriously guys 👍
Man, that shell is CLEAN. That rearend is an 8 3/4, not an 8 1/4. That diff came stock in automatic hemi cars and could have easily handled that 425 horse 440. Love the suspension upgrades though!
very true....altho i think at the beginning of the build they mentioned that it had a slant 6 before and the 8 3/4 rear end....so that could have been why they said that it wouldnt have handled the 440 without upgrading the rear end
I had an 8 3/4 diff in my Plymouth Duster with a built 440, 5.38 gears and big Goodyear slicks and never had a problem with it.
