dont worry, you are not an olympian and thats OK, 2kg is 2kg. this is his entire life, he has worked for this. You are doing this for self improvement and that is progress in and of itself compared to someone not exercising at all, which is much of the world.
in 2 months this man went from failing 200 to pulling 240 all while looking stage ready for an Olympia competition, meanwhile I had to gain 40 pounds just to up my pull by 30 pounds 😭
No where in this video do I see struggle. Every olympian athlete treats every Rep with the same intensity. Even klokov said, you would think 40 kg Deadlifts are his max 1 rep because of how he treats the rep. Even here when he doesn't commit for the rep, its not lack of strength, something else.
@@OsmanDisli88 dude give it a break. Anyone in the world, whether on gear or not, that took an entire year off would have similar if not worse drop off from elite, let alone WR levels. Yes if you’re an avg dude (which I’m assuming you are) used to only deadlifting 100kg you could probably still deadlift 80kg even if you took 5 yrs off. Doesn’t work like that for the elite whether they are on all the gear in the world or not.

@@shalami_lifts9176 he's not saying that, he is saying this is a different, more difficult deadlift variation, so it's implying Lu can lift even more if he were to do a regular deadlift
That's not the point, at least I don't think so. These are clean-style deads. They emulate the first/second pull of oly lifts, positionally, just leaving out the triple extension explosion. Lower hip position, more leg drive, pulling in towards the hips, soft-ish glutes at the top. Whether or not Lu would pull more with whatever his powerlifting-specific pull would look like I couldn't tell you. Lu couldn't either: he's probably never tried.
@@chadliampolley6991 yeah i think that’s what the comment was trying to say. We’re all just letting the people who aren’t into weightlifting know that Lu’s doing these deads for clean specificity, just in case people are comparing these numbers to powerlifting numbers.
I'm assuming these are different type of deadlift to help with the clean because his upper body is more upright. As opposed to a hinge movement with the "regular" deadlift
It’s a clean deadlift. He lifts the weight up as if he’s going to clean and jerk it. The difference is in the setup - in a clean deadlift, the shoulders are in front of the bar. In a traditional deadlift, they are behind.
