If Lu Xiaojun starts his workout with an empty bar, you should too.
i start with an air bar
@@tackywacky99 my whole workout is an air bar
@@ernestochefujara2709 i dont even workout how about that
Even though my main focus is bodybuilding, I actually use a lot weightlifting warm ups, so definitely some truth to your comment. Helps me a lot.
This comment can actually save a lot of tendons and joints.
He pulls every pull like a max.
or He pulls every pull like a MIN?
make the light weight look heavy, make the heavy weight look light
Some good rice these oriental boys are eating
as everyone should
Repetition wins
He has more muscle in his lower back than I have in my entire body, lol.
I agree
you and me both!
Get some muscles😂
His back is just build different
im always staring at it. his core (abs, lower back, glutes, hips) is extremely strong. that allows the rest of his body to rest.
Lu starts his lifts with an empty bar.
AN EMPTY BAR!! LU lifting an empty bar 😱
Big lesson for those who go in and start lifting heavy after a quick warm up.
That's basic shit
In one of his interview he said he take his technical que seriously
When Lu started taping the knees I had like an epiphany of watching a legendary warrior preparing for battle
Stop being a sucker, bro!
Look at those frikkin' traps on Lu, his whole back is like some granite stone carving. That's why I love training back and traps more than anything, such power and exploiveness from these muscles.
His power comes from his legs, obviously he's got a strong back, but his legs thoooooo
Train your posterior chain, the traps and back will come with it
@@joemurray5204 yes, his lower back has to be able to handle all that weight. Posterior chain super important.
roids
@@bigswolestocky1916 tell me you get 0 gains without telling me you get 0 gains
I've never seen such a perfect back while deadliting.
Really? It looks like he’s using his quads way more than his hamstrings, and, as a deadlift is a posterior chain exercise, that should not be the case. His back is too vertical/ chest is too up and sticking out but I guess I’m not an Olympic lifter. Maybe he’s just doing deadlift like that to practice for his main movement which i think is the snatch?
@@sonarbuge7958 lmao no it's a clean pull, the first part of a clean so not a deadlift
@@sonarbuge7958 it's a clean pull, much harder than a conventional deadlift
@@sonarbuge7958 short legs are a factor.
@@sonarbuge7958 imagine trying to correct the form of one of history's best Olympian lifter? The arrogance is hilarious.
He's even doing it in clean style form. Most people who deadlift don't have their upper back flexed, and don't come to the top with momentum to spare. Absolutely crazy
most people do deadlift with hunched back, that doesn't even count in my book.
@@holliswilliams8426 bruh… ok
"clean" form? funny play on words since he is anything but clean. haha
@@kevincarrigan2798 ?
@@kevincarrigan2798 ?
Look at them perfect definition. He must feel like a feather when he's not lifting weights.
He probably feels like the cumulative stress of over 2 decades of intense training.
@@-TK- did you watch their recovering video dudes have everything not like your average joe
@@-TK- if he feel like your saying he cant compete at full capacity so complete bs if you ask me lol 😆
@@tatarcavalry2342 Tbh even if they felt pain or minor injuries they would still have to compete and win, as they have already done. Also, it's sad for their competitors but Lu, Shi and Tian dont need to be 100% to get first places lol
@@-TK- stop hating on someone for being an athlete lmao. guarantee lu xiaojun will feel better than you do when he’s 45 and he’s not competing anymore
260kg with no belt is insane. No wonder he is one of the best!
378kg in 2019
Looks like they've mastered the technique perfectly. He will be standing straight right into his late 80s even 90s
Very much doubt so. These top athletes push themselves really hard when time calls.
@@jieelyuuyea they risk some wear and tear for the glory rather than taking a safer approach
I have never seen proportionally big lower back muscles, impressive!
They have a name it's called Babs. In the same channel one of the comments that I seen long back
@@readmycomment4696 they have a name it's called juice
Spinnal erectors
So much kissing asses here in the comments 🙄... It's embarrassing! 🤦🏽
The good thing is that I'm halfway to reach him. The bad thing is that math hits hard.
The person counting the dips for Lu was hilarious. His nonchalantness was so funny.
wtf Lu's back at the start of the video is so fucking massive without flexing at all. there's like a solid 1-2 inches of muscle on his back
Awesome ! Love it ! Good team and training
Luxiao Jun is the greatest and the perfect Weightlifter of the World.
Kuo is the best
Lasha in the convo
I truly believe Li Dayin can surpass him one day. His C&J are so fucking clean its amazing.
Recently news,Lu Xiaojun replaces Rio Olympic gold medal, and he achieved three consecutive Olympic titles
Clean stance deadlifts are a personal favourite of mine, the way they build your upper back is like nothing else
all their proportions are great
I did not know you had a UA-cam channel. Subscribed. Phenomenal physique by the way.
Dude never spend time training his chest and yet his chest is completely perfect. Truely a legend.
No, Chinese weightlifters do a crazy amount of dips with 2-3 plates hanging on their waists. They just don’t bench bc bench press doesn’t help Olympic weightlifting.
I stopped doing bench press and replaced them with push up and dip. Much better. Bench press is overrated
@@Netrool bench press feel more like a ego movement, chest hypertrophy just need muscle mind connection which i use cable flyes and it done fantastically.
@@kiennguyenvan6042 aye same. I do push ups, dips, l sit hold and dumbbell flies. biggest chest I ever had. No bench press for many months :)
@@ericyuan2195 yup very bad for shoulder mobility. I felt it too sometimes my shoulder felt stiff after that. Inclined is better, plus dips and dumbell press
Pike flexibility is such an UNDERRATED skill.
very technical, impressive!
his 100kg pull is faster than I stand up from squat without any weight
He is not just muscular but his muscles are so dense that looks like he is wearing an armor.
Love you sir Love from India
Nice physique guys! Fighting!
Lu's back muscles are so developed and so defined , it looks like his back is rounded when he deadlifts !
Damn man ! Thats goals ! Looking like you catlift while you actually have just huge middle and lower back
that's not a deadlift by any means more of a sqaut
@@drama8335 he starts from a low position for sure, and has a much bigger leg drive for sure but man, you are wrong.
@@marledanimefan7186 mate if you think i'm wrong about this then you have no idea how to deadlift this would never be called a deadlift everything about the form is trash he jenks his shoulders ( shoulder injury warning if not the the steriods he abuses) he goes down to 90 degrees which would make it a sqaut and if he did it correctly he could easily do over 300kg
@@drama8335 i saw his deadlift again then thought of competition videos for strong man or powerlifting and i agree with you . I'm wrong here.
None of them start the movement from that position.
Still, his back is straight , there is just more leg drive . Who knows, people might start implementing it if they want more legs out of their deadlifts , without the jenk ofc.
Besides the injury potential which i dont really think its that bad ,that jenk at the end , its to simulate the snatching part of an olimpic lift.
@@marledanimefan7186 i understand the reason for doing it this way but it stil can't be called a deadlift in my honest opinon at best it could be called a hybrid
9:41 one of the most impressive strength/power feats i've seen.
Back stiffness/rigidness is incredible.
The Chinese emphasizes a lot on back/lower back exercises, and it clearly shows.
people pull this amount at that bodyweight all the time, this isn't special lol
@@MrCdrant not with that form
@@charlesevanspope because most people don't have a torso to limb length ratio that makes these oly lifters exceptional at their sport. Anyone impressed by a 3x BW deadlift needs to know people have lift 5x BW, this ain't shit.
@@MrCdrant 3x BW C&J is way more impressive than 5x BW dead

His back is a thing of perfection
Completed it mate ✅
definition of perfect back
Considering I’ve seen lu squat 270kg without a hiccup I’m surprised he isn’t deadlifting 320kg+ especially with the power needed to snatch. The powerlifting game is such a specific kind of strength
That's because powerlifting requires pure strength, while weightifting requires power(which needs speed). Lu can prob dl(conventional cuz weightlifters usually DL with a C&J form) a lot more but there is just no need for him to do it since it wont translate very well to weightlifting.
it's true, there's a lot of difference between a conventional dl and clean style dl, e.g. straight upper back, lower hip position etc. Weightlifters are extremely quad dominant too which plays a role and is why they often don't pull more than they squat.
It’s mostly because his leverages aren’t really built for deadlifting. He has perfect squat leverages but not so good deadlift leverages. Same happens with tian tao. He even said it himself
The thing is, after the DL, Lu has to think about how to get that shit over the head, so no need to overdo too much.
Maybe if he changed to pure powerfliting he can prob get close to those numbers no doubt.
Love your shoes !!!
Love Lu , the back it’s scary
Am I blind or Lu casually lifted 60kg like a polythene bag at 1st rep
i mean . think of the absurd amount of weight he can press over his head let alone deadlifting it.
Lou looks like he's unlocked some kind of hidden DBZ power and is confused as to why the weights look light
Perfect technique!
this is amazing
another level
He deadlifts like a weightlifter 😂😂. The absolute goat
Just pure power
Absolute godly physique
Nice thecnic, greetings from Brazil!
great end to my night
They takin the anabolic peking duck 🔥💯💜💛
i search who was the real giga chad on this planet and i found it
That enchantment tho

GOD of beauty
Monster!!
Seeing someone else at their peak physique makes you want to achieve it yourself.
I just realized why I can’t get any hip drive out of my clean. When Lu is pulling the empty bar his chest is really far forward. I keep my chest back out of deadlift habit
My fevorite game 🧑
Nice
His starting position for deadlift it's almost like half squat. For the first time I noticed it.
Never lose hope you never know what tomorrow may bring.
“Hi, I’m Xiaojun. I am a muscle.”
Hardwork real muscle
Even most bodybuilders in Lu's size class dont have that kind of lowerback (even that back package).. Damn
Форма топ 🔥
What I learn from this video is to just Relax and focus. NO overeacting screaming hyping throwing belt shit.
Clean pulls light up my traps like nothing else
tell me about it. i might do clean pulls as a warm up before deadlifts
Yeah, they are a great replacement for shrugs that don't even really work for me.
The snatch pull and RDLS with snatch grip give my traps an even bigger sensation. However, you might need straps in order to go heavy enough, because your grip will eventually give up before your traps.
Snatch grip pulls for me. They create soreness in my traps like no other exercise
Hi, Luxiaojun, do you train daily? what is your daily workout routine?
Oh shit Tian is still in the game
7:05 Shi spotted 👀.
Also it would be great if we could know how long is Lu resting between sets!
His lower back is so strong and overdeveloped
希望看到吕小军更多视频和教程!!👍
多高
多重很重要🎉
I need someone to step in me after a workout like in the beginning
I know what makes Lu even more superior, having the a western land whale stepping on him in stead of his crew.
me:how much are you lifting today?
lu:yes
Beautiful my friend spread your name through the Asian community here in east and regional Vancouver love it brother I know you didn't use drugs I know China rules in weightlifting for good reason peace
my deadlift hand grip is where his clean grip is at haha
I’m starting to think Lu is a descendant of Lu Bu :0
Hahaha
Lu Xiaojun
🔥❤️
It was weird watching him wearing normal shoes. Used to seeing him in that golden shoes
Those pro golden shoes for lifting hhh💚😍💯
I've noticed a lot of them have great shoulders, arms and back but an under-developed chest compared to the rest of their body. Do they not train Chest directly??
From Việt Nam 🇻🇳 hi idol
很好,加油。
💯💪
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I like how he pretends to struggle during his warm-up sets.
LIKES!
he pulled 130 kg with more struggle than 220kg :D
bro seeing the opening segment where dude was stepping on the hamstrings made me sweat. that must of hurt lol
5'8 minitank
It's interesting that they pull up with their shoulders at the end of their deadlift
It's called a clean pull. It's an accessory exercise to help with the clean or snatch depending on how narrow or wide the grip is.
Мощные ребята
What are the tapes around the knee for? How does it help?
What shoes are they wearing? any body know ?
舉重若輕 舉輕若重
That's a lot of weight constantly being dropped onto the ground. Even with the padding, I imagine there could be some damage/cracks to the floor over time.
Czy to jest poprawną techniką dedlift?
is there a power difference if you open mouth or squeeze teeths when you lift ?
