    Ono you’re recipe!!! I love it just wondering is it supposed to be kinda oily?(buttery)

      Mahalo. Be sure to mix the ingredients until well combined to prevent it from being "oily". You can dab the top of the mochi with a paper towel to get the excess butter if it started ooze out. This is usually because it wasn't incorporated well. Hope this helps. Have a great day.

    I made it today and I love the texture. But it's waaay too sweet. Maybe it's a typo in description when it says 2 cups of sugar, because in the video it looks like less. Other than that, I'll be definitely making this again. Thank you!

      No typos. If it's too sweet you can cut back the sugar if you'd like.

    Aloha Relle. I’m from Vietnam and in my country, mochiko flour is hard to find. So which flour i can use for this recipe? I can easy buy rice flour, glutinous rice flour, cornstarch, tapioca flour and all-purpose flour

      I'd see if you can find mochiko. Maybe Amazon if they ship to you. You can also see if you can find sweet glutinous rice flour.

    Tried making it last night but I’m thinking because I substituted almond milk for fat free maybe that’s why the middle came out a bit soft I’m not sure. Any thoughts on this? Mahalo 🤙🏽

      I've never tried it with plant based milks. If the middle was soft, likely it just needed to bake a little longer.

      @@KeepingItRelle Thanks! I used fat free milk on the second batch and it came out a fine. So Ono!

    Would unsalted butter work for this recipe? My batch tasted more eggy than buttery and I’m wondering if its because I used unsalted butter

      If you use unsalted butter, add in salt to the recipe.

    Can I use almond flour or coconut flour as a substitute for all purpose flour?

    • @KeepingItRelle
      @KeepingItRelle  3 роки тому +1

      This recipe uses mochiko flour. Subbing for almond or coconut flour will not work in this recipe and give you the same mochi texture.

    What if we don't have fat free milk but has an ordinary milk? Does it make difference?

      Bake uncovered in a light pan closer to the top of the oven
