Let's cook chebureki. At cousin Anatoli's place.
Objective is not to burn house down and not wake everyone up with the excess cheeki breeki.
Cooking with Boris is very easy if you follow video and do not try to skip most important part like adding salt and vodka.
Ingredients:
For dough:
1 egg
3 cups flour
1 shot of vodka
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup water
sunflower seed oil
For filling
400g/14oz beef or pork minced meat
Some green onion, parsley and dill
Some ground black pepper
2 small onions
1 clove garlic
3 teaspoons salt
Serve with parsley and dill
Eat with side of mayonez
Good luck and enjoy!

I have successfully nailed this recipe with my husband and we're very happy with the results. I've even experimented with batches containing yeast in the dough, some steamed, some baked. They're all very tasty, but deep-fried is sadly the best. I was hoping very much that a slightly healthy alternative would be the favorite, but you very clearly know what you're doing.

Me, a Hispanic Western Spy: So Soviet Empanadas?
I think for empanadas, you cook the filling before you wrap them in the dough.
@@SwissSareth
Oh yeah, I think your right
@@SwissSareth it depends, you can make empanadas with cheese and that's it (at least in Venezuela)
It's pretty similar to pastel from Brazil
@@guilhermecorrea545 except for the sugar in the mixture, is pretty much the same dish
The reciepe is good, just a few issues with the proportions:
- Put less water in the dough, maybe 20 to 30% less, will yield better results
- Put less salt in the stuffing, maybe 2 tsp instead of 3, or even less.
You can make the dough with different flours, experiment with it, just be careful with the water (check bread reciepes with your flour and adjust accordingly vs normal flour) and the cooking (the colour won't be the same at the same cooking state).
You can also try a MOAB (Mother Of All Burek) with two circular dough to make the monstrosity approximately the size of the pan. Less oil used, less dough, more meat. It becomes a meat and onion pie. You can make it in the oven also and serve it at a normal dinner with family and friends who dislike fast greasy food.
I tried making more chiburek and freezing them once cooked (to make my kitchen smell like mcdonalds less often), I'll report on the success of this process once I unfreeze the first ones.
Comrade, we need answers! Blyat..
@@krisdenger8339 Sorry, completely forgot to tell you all.
I tried:
- microwave
- oven
- microwave then oven
The results were:
- good but crust was soft
- crust was burned before unfreezing
- crust was harder than with microwave only
It works, it's good. It's not as good as fresh from the fryer but perfectly serviceable.
I had best of luck unfreezing in the microwave then drying/cooking in the oven for 5 minutes at 200°C
I think if you want to have them for lunch at work you can just put the freezed ones in your bag in the morning and eat them cold, no worries, microwave would be a plus, oven (once unfreezed) is the best but we rarely have that at work.
All in all it's a success.
Next step is freezing uncooked ones and deep fry them in case of emergencies (like 4 friends showing up uninvited), i'll report on that if I remember to do it.

Jugoslavien war Slawisch aber es gibt viele "slawische Länder": Russland, Ukraine, Weißrussland, Polen, Tschechien, Slowakai, Bulgarien usw.
I do not know why but I always find myself watching this video. It is simply hypnotizing. Even my grandparents watch Boris. It just scratches a certain itch that nothing else does. Boris cooking videos are awesome. Thanks Boris 👍🏼
I actually made this and it was amazing thank you for sharing this wonder with me

IS RAW CYKA
SLAVIC Vlogs Showcase gameplay etc . Where's the blyat lamb sauce?
ITS RAW CYKA BLYAT
Fun fact
The dough recipe Boris uses can be used to make cheese pizza pastries cut them into 8 pieces roll each one into a circle add sauce and put in oven 250 degrees Celsius for 10 minute then add mozzarella and back in oven for 5 minutes then bam you got yourself pizza pastries, an average oven can make like 3-4 of these at one go
It’s small and makes for a perfect breakfast
That’s literally what I did after I had left over dough from the cheeburiks
Was surprised by the results lol
Noted!..i will do this....Thank You
the italian spies have infiltrated
No need to apologize to Babushka Boris! She taught you how to do this specifically for this reason! Now you have shared it with the world, and now the world can become a bit more Slav. All is well.
Nothing better than a meal consisting of Cheeki Breeki Chebureki with a side of kotlet from leftover filling, homemade mayonez and kvass. Gonna have to try it out some day when my family won't interrupt the mad scientist while he's working on slav nourishment blin.
Blyatiful.
I tried to make this for myself for the first time ever after an ice storm and some rain, I didn't followed the exact instructions though.. My filling wasn't the same, but it was still very good! I had so much food that I couldn't finish it by myself. Fortunately no slav knocked on my door asking for my cheeki chebureki.
Next step is making kompot and my own mayonez! Your babushka had great cooking skills by the way! :)
Cheers from the also cold but non-slav country; Canada.
Yooo guy with the gorillaz pic is awesome
@@jennifermcadam1026 Irish cant talk shit on western eastern you were off blowing up trucks rather than fighting in the war
you do not live near enough slavs then blyat
Kompot is good as fuck, but some people find it far too sweet. If you aren't the biggest on super sweet drinks, definitely use MUCH less sugar.
Yeah.. canadaaaaaaaaaa
I just made these today. I told my mom about them and she didnt know what they were so I mentioned Perogi(?) and she recognized it and loved it when she tried them! Thank you Boris for making these videos, I want to make all of these and show off the true slav cooking skill :D
This is slav project for supper tonight.
EDIT: just made these and slathered them in sour cream. They're so good, they'll make you say "OPA!"
sour cream? what are u, a western spy
Oof
@@quintenphillippi6696 I'm all out of mayonez, blyat!
@@quintenphillippi6696 Davai cyka what do you mean? smetana is russian!
I thought you said ICE CREAM 😮
I actually ended up making these and had a few comments:
- The ingredient list in the description missed garlic.
- The dough is stickier than it looked in the video. If you're not used to working with dough, this can be confusing. Mine was too wet so I added perhaps too much flour after mixing everything...
- The dough should be at least 3-5mm thick. If it's thicker it's kinda unpleasant to eat. If it's thinner, it breaks easily in the pan, which is bad.
- Try to pack the stuffing firmly I only ended up using around half of mine.
- Be careful not to leave the cheburek on one side too long. The insides puffed up a lot for me and combined with a slightly too thin dough, the top side of one of them popped.
- These things are delicious. I'm thinking of adding cheese next time though...
Lucas Cooper if you listened in video it is one to two cloves
***** OI! I am as Slav as I possibly can be. I can even squat on full heels.
+Aaron B. Ok, so it's a clove or two.. Garlic is still not on ingredient list
as a slavic person who never knew their grandmothers, thank you Boris, for teaching me how to cook
This is better than Jamie Oliver

Chebureki is a very common Turkish dish, and it comes from the word ''Çiğ'' and ''Börek''. ''Çiğ'' means raw and ''Börek'' is a type of dish that is made with 2 or more layers of dough and minced meat-cheese-vegetables inside it.
Food in Turkey and Germany is VERY different even if having the same name.
Im just assuming you are German so you are familliar with the term Döner.
Döner in Germany is Kebab in a Fladenbrot (idk what its called in english)
While in Turkey you most likely will either get the meat on a plate with some rice or in a kinda normal bread xD
I just made Chebureki today! It had Canola oil instead of Sunflower oil, Elk instead of Milk maker and no vodka, but it was still the best thing ive ever cooked for the first time!
anatoli where the blin have you been it has already been 1.5 years
In Argentina we make Chebureki. The only difference is that we call it "Empanadas". Stay Cheeki Breeki
We call it 'Karipap' in Malaysia..'currypuff' in english..the difference is the size is a bit smaller..
Yeah that definitely looks like an empanada to me.
Here in Brazil it is called "Pastel".
Also Empanada in the Philippines. Filling is different though
I was thinking "those are empanadas" the whole time! But I'm from Uruguay tho
I was having a lovely day, watched this video, and was in the mood to cook. Everything went fine until the frying stage... I poured a (un)healthy amount of oil, where it promptly caught on fire. Long story short, we now have five fire extinguishers spread around the house. I would like to say the Chebureki tasted good, but I was not in the mood for fresh charcoal.
Great video though!
Lol
When you have seen flames, you have gone too far. Start again. - I can imagine Boris saying this lol.
