It's a pretty bad law. Basically the car going straight through the intersection has the ability to run the red light and cause an accident without any fault
That's not what he said. He said that when a vehicle going straight enters after the light has turned red, they yield the right of way and the turning vehicle is NOT at fault. Listen to what he says at @2:04
You: I was in the turning lane and as I was turning I noticed there was a car coming from the other direction with no lights on and the car behind it came zooming out and I hit them who is at fault
Finally someone with common sense. Turning left on a yellow is a privilege in my opinion. You people think oncoming traffic should stop just because you chose to not stay behind the line on a left. It's even worse when TWO cars think they can follow each other past a yellow left turn.
In my situation I was turning left and there was a turning lane that was beginning a few feet infront of where I was turning and the woman came along my left side over the double yellow lines to get into it passing me basically on the wrong side of the road. Who is at fault?
interesting. It's a little different here though. Even on a red, left turning vehicles by law is still at fault because it wasn't safe for the vehicle to proceed and RoW priorities 1st straight, right 2nd, and 3rd and last priority for left. In the event if an accident and if it can be proven with say dashcam video, the straight vehicle will he cited with failure to obey a traffic signal but fault still lies with the left turner.
Here's my situation. I'm making a left turn on a Green arrow. Oncoming traffic is at red three Lanes two cars at a stop. I'm blocking two lanes into my turn. Light turns green and the third lane car collided with me. Who's at fault?
So you’re waiting to turn left in the middle of the intersection while you have a green light and your light turns red cause you’re waiting as long as the other driver going straight is not in the intersection then they are at fault since the light is red and they ran a red light hitting you while turning left

What about a highway, and you're in the right hand side and they hit you on either the driver side or the back side?
So being in the middle of an intersection gives you the right to run a red light....

Since you already entered the intersection when the light was green it's okay if you complete the turn once the light changes to red.
RSNCleanMeSrsly
well you have to clear the intersection or be an obstruction to traffic.
At that point in time you have control of the intersection
If you already entered the intersection you have the right of way but it would have to be before the light turning red

I have the same issue but I need to find out if there’s a way to defend myself.

Your last scenario did not make sense. I assume you said it backwards.
