ALL - If you're getting a PlayStation version, I just found out today there was a misprint in the marketing facts and the PlayStation version of the Stealth 700 does NOT support chat mix. Neither does the new Steel Series Arctis 9. Apparently Sony is combining the audio mix now which makes no sense. Any new headset that uses a USB transmitter for audio will NOT have game to chat mix on PlayStation. Please keep this in mind.

I play on console still and been trying to invest the best quality headset that has the most reasonable price that would be worth the money, also are the headphones compatible with pc,Xbox or and ps or just the particular model you get cause I play on ps4 so I would more and likely get the ps version and one more thing are they good on next gen and would you recommend anything else besides these for next gen or no.
@@JoloSmokes That's tough because the game mix themselves are unique. CoD Warzone - Run midnight mode. Superhuman hearing at ~20% or off. I leave bass boost and treble boost off. Custom EQ. Slight boost to vocal, flat treble, flat or slight reduction to bass. Again - this is for maximum clarity in CoD Warzone without making it too harsh on your ears.
I have never had gaming headphones that cost more than $20,(I think. I'm sorry if I'm wrong), and now I'm finally getting a good pair! My first and only pair was turtle beach and they have lasted me for almost 5 years, but the mic stopped working. I'm so glad to have found someone who does genuine good reviews! This headset is great! I got it for $119 today at target. I couldn’t be happier. Needed a headset for my halo edition series X that I just got a few days ago, didn’t want to spend another $330 plus like I did for my ps5. I have the arctic pro wireless and i want to say these don’t fall way behind those. Definitely recommend them for the price point ! Happy customer !
You can set the noise gate via the phone app to reject a lot of background noise. I found it helps quite a bit. Overall it's an amazing headset. At $120 that's a steal!
Having bought this when it first released, I can say this headset is a great mid range headset. The sound is pretty good, the hours on the battery is pretty long, you might get away with 21-22 hours depending on how your volume is set at. The biggest and awesome feature of this is how with the app, you can change the buttons to turn up the game volume and chat volume separately. Not mixing between more game or more chat, you can set them both high. A really awesome feature. The comfort is good, once in a while it will get a bit painful but that’s user error on my end for not putting them on the right way to adjust to my head. I used this more than my Arctix 9X and I loved that headset before giving it to a friend.
a month ago i was going to buy the arctic 9x but then me and my friend found these like towards the end of last month and now i’m certain me and him are going to love these we already saved up and ready to go sunday

Got the 9x and I hate the audio quality. Muddy as hell. Hoping these are better. The 9x is solid and I like the looks, but I just couldn't get them to sound good.
@Erik exactly, same here, i have bought the 9x first and was very disappointed with the audio quality. also had the feeling that the driver distorted already at 90% volume and was lacking bass. bluethooth works with the phone, but not with the mac... wth.. the tb700gen2 are on the way. btw thanks for the review!

Sometimes I feel like gaming headphones are gimmicky and why not just use some good quality headphones? However, these TB 700 gen 2 made me a believer. Enjoy!
700s is out and I’m still using my 600s and they still blow my mind how good the 600 and 700 stealth series sound turtle beach’s qualities in these two models are top notch I honestly prefer the 600s earcups then the 700s I love the comfort of the soft fabrics I was never a fan of a leathery material on a gaming headset.

I have had this head seat for 3 months and I love it. The connectivity is nice you can mix music off your phone and vibe out. I can wear glasses in this. The app is great and is way to use. My only one complaint is the headband tension is a little high first couple days I felt like my head was being squeezed but overall great headset for the price.
Yeah it has a fairly high clamp force which can be an issue for some. It stretches out a bit like you said, but overall it's an amazing headset. Glad you like it Manny!

Coming here a bit more updated July 2021: Just bought this headset for my PS5. Turtlebeach dropped a huge firmware update as of May 2021. Yes they took A LONG TIME. BUT, ALL of the issues with the headset have been fixed (static, connectivity issues, sound quality, etc). I highly recommend this headset and think that this video really goes deep into expressing the huge advantages over the competition at price point. Sound is really strong and I never go full volume, not sure how deaf people are, when they say this headset is not as loud as others. They are very loud and can be customized in different ways that I don't go above 70%-80% volume. Prolonged high sound into your ear canal will damage your hearing so yeah be careful. The cushions really make this headset sound feel immersive.

Such a nice concessive review, went to Best Buy to make use of a warranty for my controller and hyper cloud x headset and had to pick a headset and just pay the difference(like $40) and since I was in a rush I just quickly saw the turtle beach’s and this one looked like a higher quality compared to the other ones and felt comfortable in store and picked them out so I’m glad to hear good things about them on the way home.
When I got the headphones the most surprising part for me is just how comfortable it is. Even with my bigger ears I barely feel like they are touching my ears. 10 out of 10 headset

@@PovElijah I had PlayStation gold headphones. The right ear stopped working. Couldn’t hear out of it whatsoever. I tried everything to try to fix it but I couldn’t, so I bought the stealth 700’s and they’re great so far!
I have the generation 1 Stealth 700's and they had some great features. It seems these headphones have all those features and some new ones that make it even better. Plus the review said that the mic cut-out problem is no longer an issue in the gen 2. I also appreciate that he said the volume level is so high that he doesn't even turn it all the way up, that was an issue with gen 1, they were not loud enoud. One thing people will learn to appreciate about the 700's both gen 1 and gen 2, is the two volume dials. On my gen 1 I found myself using those very often. It is helpful to be able to separately turn down the game sounds while keeping the chat volume loud. I found myself frequently doing that in parts of games where I was with a team and the game music or effects got too loud and I couldn't hear what my team mates were trying to say to me. So I am very thankful they left that option available on the gen 2. Also, I was looking at the Steelseries Arctis 9X and they seem great, and look more like a high end music headset, but they only have one dial for voice and game sound to be faded louder on one over the other. Because of the Arctis 9x not having as good of quality of that option, among a few other things, I will be purchasing the Turtle Beach instead of Steelseries. Also, the Steelseries is just now making their first Xbox version of the headphones, while Turtlebeach has been doing it for years, so I can imagine there being some issues with the Steelseries, being that it is their first try. Turtlebeach has had a lot of experience and will likely be a lot less buggy. Thank you for the detailed review.
Man the Max are terrible they are having SO many issues!!! I think because it’s an all on one headset. And you need the lil dangle transmitter to connect. Without that lil thing it won’t connect. Go read the reviews from ppl they are trashing them

That science lesson was A1 my man and this video helped a lot in deciding my next headset. My last ones being the artic 9x were very good although my mic for some reason just stopped working the next day. So I’ve been looking for another gaming headset that can compare without having to drop another $200 bucks and this one really hit the spot!
just spent the money and bought these and the steel series acrtis 9x and after a week of heavy game play with both i will say the TB are better crisper sound louder overall better bass superhuman hearing is awesome the only thing id say the steel series has advantage on is comfort and mic a lot more comfortable than the turtle beach,

Just got this headset for the ps5 yesterday so far with my experience it’s been amazing the audio is good, the mic is superb and the comfort is decent and I have a pretty big head. I haven’t experienced any issues with the headset disconnecting randomly. My verdict is id say this headset is good but the only thing that holds it back is it’s comfort.
Awesome video very extensive. I don't have unreal expectations of my gaming equipment, pretty much everything you covered is what I'm looking for thanks for the in depth video.

honestly, the only problem I have with this headset is with its inconsistent connection times, and the loud ass beeps that play when it turns on. Other than that, its amazing

Just got my Gen 2s was able to update it through my computer but every time I try to access the settings to the app on my phone it just says no device detected and to check my Bluetooth settings even though my phone is connected to the headset already what is happening??
Depending on what device you were using, Android or IPhone, the app may not have been the most current version yet. I had the exact same issue using my Samsung Galaxy S10 5g, but I downloaded the app on my IPad and it connected right away. Today however, the app on my Samsung required the update which allowed me to finally connect to my headset using my phone.
Literally just got the gen 1 version of this set a couple months ago. Think I'm going to go ahead and get these. Just too many upgrades to say no in my opinion.
Same thing happened to me. Bought the Gen 1s on August, couple of weeks before these got announced. Literally returned them 2 weeks ago and bought the Gen 2s today.
FYI you lose 7.1 surround and chat mix. I also just purchased the gen 1 and just purchased the gen 2s. I just found out I lose the two features I just mentioned:(
Hi, great review like the others on this channel! You seem very enthusiastic with these headphones and they look very good, despite that I am still in doubt between these and the Astro A50. After reviewing all 2, which one would you recommend? The price factor is not a problem for me I just want some new headphones that are great for the next gen (I play on Xbox and I'll take Series X).
hey I would check out the steel series 9x for $200 they look great and connect to xbox like a controller. I would get them over the Astros or the turtle beach for sure but $200 is a lot. hope that helps
@@ethanhadley3584 Look, I was also informed about the 9x but honestly I don't like them. I was more oriented between the Stealth 700 and the Astro A50 but I still thank you for the advice.
Right now I'm leaning towards the 700 Gen 2. More features, better sound quality (believe it or not) and it's somehow half the price. Astro allows you to fine tune and customize your EQ profiles more which is awesome, but the headset drivers aren't as dynamic so don't expect home theater type sound. Stealth 700s have more bass.
I was almost certain I was gonna pick these up but, steelseries released the arctis 9 the other day and it's actually out so had to pick that up instead, they have alot of the same features but good to see these are good

I remember watching this before deciding to buy the headset and being convinced. From my experience so far: It's a very good headset in every measure except for the mic (it's just below average for a headset mic), and also the bass isn't the best but it's good enough.

I love the fact that the 700x has chat volume and game volume on the headset itself
You can even change that slider in the app to do other cool functions such as volume for the Bluetooth on your phone!!

Can you answer if the Xbox Series X Version of these require a cable to the controller or are the fully wireless?
Its comes with a small USB smaller than A20s gen 2 and that's kind of all you need the tiny USB to make it work

I found myself frequently doing that in parts of games where I was with a team and the game music or effects got too loud and I couldn't hear what my team mates were trying to say to me. So I am very thankful they left that option available on the gen 2. Also, I was looking at the Steelseries Arctis 9X and they seem great, and look more like a high end music headset, but they only have one dial for voice and game sound to be faded louder on one over the other. Because of the Arctis 9x not having as good of quality of that option, among a few other things, I will be purchasing the Turtle Beach instead of Steelseries. Also, the Steelseries is just now making their first Xbox version of the headphones, while Turtlebeach has been doing it for years, so I can imagine there being some issues with the Steelseries, being that it is their first try. Turtlebeach has had a lot of experience and will likely be a lot less buggy. Thank you for the detailed review.

Man the Max are terrible they are having SO many issues!!! I think because it’s an all on one headset. And you need the lil dangle transmitter to connect. Without that lil thing it won’t connect. Go read the reviews from ppl they are trashing them

That science lesson was A1 my man and this video helped a lot in deciding my next headset. My last ones being the artic 9x were very good although my mic for some reason just stopped working the next day. So I’ve been looking for another gaming headset that can compare without having to drop another $200 bucks and this one really hit the spot!

just spent the money and bought these and the steel series acrtis 9x and after a week of heavy game play with both i will say the TB are better crisper sound louder overall better bass superhuman hearing is awesome the only thing id say the steel series has advantage on is comfort and mic a lot more comfortable than the turtle beach,

Just got this headset for the ps5 yesterday so far with my experience it’s been amazing the audio is good, the mic is superb and the comfort is decent and I have a pretty big head. I haven’t experienced any issues with the headset disconnecting randomly. My verdict is id say this headset is good but the only thing that holds it back is it’s comfort.
dont worry that clamping force will adjust to your head sometime

Just got my Gen 2s was able to update it through my computer but every time I try to access the settings to the app on my phone it just says no device detected and to check my Bluetooth settings even though my phone is connected to the headset already what is happening??
i had this same issue. i just deleted the app and downloaded it again only then i was able to connect to the app
Depending on what device you were using, Android or IPhone, the app may not have been the most current version yet. I had the exact same issue using my Samsung Galaxy S10 5g, but I downloaded the app on my IPad and it connected right away. Today however, the app on my Samsung required the update which allowed me to finally connect to my headset using my phone.

Literally just got the gen 1 version of this set a couple months ago. Think I'm going to go ahead and get these. Just too many upgrades to say no in my opinion.
Same thing happened to me. Bought the Gen 1s on August, couple of weeks before these got announced. Literally returned them 2 weeks ago and bought the Gen 2s today.
FYI you lose 7.1 surround and chat mix. I also just purchased the gen 1 and just purchased the gen 2s. I just found out I lose the two features I just mentioned:(

The price factor is not a problem for me I just want some new headphones that are great for the next gen (I play on Xbox and I'll take Series X).
hey I would check out the steel series 9x for $200 they look great and connect to xbox like a controller. I would get them over the Astros or the turtle beach for sure but $200 is a lot. hope that helps
@@ethanhadley3584 Look, I was also informed about the 9x but honestly I don't like them. I was more oriented between the Stealth 700 and the Astro A50 but I still thank you for the advice.
Right now I'm leaning towards the 700 Gen 2. More features, better sound quality (believe it or not) and it's somehow half the price. Astro allows you to fine tune and customize your EQ profiles more which is awesome, but the headset drivers aren't as dynamic so don't expect home theater type sound. Stealth 700s have more bass.

I was almost certain I was gonna pick these up but, steelseries released the arctis 9 the other day and it's actually out so had to pick that up instead, they have alot of the same features but good to see these are good

From someone that has the artic 9x for Xbox they disconnect... and plus they make a creaking sound that is worrisome.

I remember watching this before deciding to buy the headset and being convinced. From my experience so far: It's a very good headset in every measure except for the mic (it's just below average for a headset mic), and also the bass isn't the best but it's good enough.
