- It's finally here! I've been really excited to finally release our full review of the Stealth 600 Gen 2 for PS4, PC, and Xbox. This is an amazing headset for the money. The wireless connection is rock solid, mic performance is above average, and the build quality has improved. I actually have this headset for my ps4 and I would definitely recommend this purchase. Definitely makes you play better in fps games, u can hear enemy footsteps and it feels like you’re actually in the game!

Yes, the stealth 600 gen 2 doesn't have separate mic and audio. So if you lowered the volume for audio to try to listen to just the people talking, you won't hear them.
@@Gameaddict2o9 you can even lower game sound on the quick menu on Playstation but yeah sucks it doesn't have a separate volume chat dial

My brother bought one for his ps4 and everything is all set up but when he loads into a game other players can’t hear him speak as if he’s muted but he can hear others
That may be a Nat type issue. It has happened to some friends of mine when their nat type is moderate or strict

Yes, I have one of these headsets. If you push the microphone to your skin then it makes and insanely loud beeping noise. I piss all of my friends off with it all of the time ahhahah

Great review, I'm looking to get the Stealth 700 v2 because I want the bluetooth to hear audio on pc while talking on ps4/ps5. I have the current stealth 700 and while pthey are good the battery is abysmal and that 20 hour battery life will be awesome
I’m in the same position as you... I might swap my gen 1 for gen 2 but if the sound quality, connectivity and bass isn’t better... I’ll save my monet

I'm also looking forward to the Stealth 700 Gen 2 review. My Gen 1's battery is getting close to the point where it will basically be a wired headset, at the moment I'm getting about 3 - 4 hours off a full charge. Plus the ear cuffs are wearing out.
The Stealth 600 Gen 2 review here has left me with full confidence that Turtle Beach will deliver once again!
GullibleCraig my only issue with the gen 1 is is always cuts in and out for some reason. Can never fix it.
I'll never understand why TB decided to do away with the fiber optic connection to their USB dongle which gave PS4 users the ability to control chat volume independently from game volume. The Stealth 520's were amazing (aside from their piss poor durability) but now they're discontinued, and every successor to the 520's is technically a downgrade IMO without the fiber optic capability. Not to mention, the 520's would tell you which EQ setting you're in as you switch thru modes. The 600 just gives a series of beeps....Yet another downgrade.

This is why I use this headset you can hear so good if you play a hourer game you can hear the npc coming to you before you see it you also know which direction

I picked up a pair of these for my ps5. I'm hearing static like distortions when low volume rumbling type sounds play. Such as game environment background noise like waterfalls. This even happens with the home screen music. Anyone else having this issue?

Great review, I’ve been waiting for this for a long time, what’s the headset mic like when you whisper or talk very quickly, will it pick your voice up or will it cancel out your voice as if it’s background noise
It picks up both whispers and soft talking. Just tried again to confirm :) I recorded an audio clip where I whispered softly and it still picked it up and played back clear enough to hear it easily.
Thanks for this, I currently own a stealth 700 gen 1 and wasnt impressed by how it doesn’t detect my voice when I speak quietly, if the stealth 600 gen 2 can pick up whispers then the stealth 700 gen 2 should do right??
It should in theory. I am receiving one in a week or so for testing and future review so I can confirm as soon as I get it! I'd hate to assume anything with different models.

Got the stealth 600 gen 2 for Christmas and tried it with all different settings on the ps5 (I also made sure to update the firmware of the headset) and there was a noticeable humming static sound both in game and In the menu. DO NOT BUY THESE. They are compatible with ps5 BUT THEY HAVE NOTICEABLE TECHNICAL ISSUES. GET A HEADSET THAT IS MADE FOR PS5 NOT JUST "COMPATIBLE".
In the process of thinking about getting these for my ps5. Question 1 - the mini-usb, where does this fit on my ps5? I’ve noticed that the cable to charge the controller is plugged in this space and next to it a usb-c. Where will it fit?
Question 2 - I’m a glasses wearer, so will this headset be comfortable wearing with glasses?
Question 3 - I’m normally using in-ear headphones and wondering if these will be ok for me to wear?

I found out a problem that has to do with cutting out you need to keep your head up and make sure it’s not down test it out on the “adjust microphone level” on ps4 and charge it fully to just make sure it’s not that either
I was hoping you would bring up surround sound. They mention having 3d surround sound but don't advertise having 7.1, 5.1 or anything. Any info on this would be very much appreciated.
3d audio is sonys thing. It's similar to 7.1 surround sound but kinda different.
@@devizesolstice4617 Thanks for the reply. I just wish they announced official specs on it. I had a Turtle Beach in the past (I want to say stealth 600 gen 1) that the plastic snapped on it. I liked that headset a lot. I actually considered getting the Astro a50 but couldn't justify the price. I ended up getting the Sony pulse headset and I'll say it's ok. It seems to have no bass at all and the battery life is pretty short compared to the turtle beach I had. To be clear I'm not wanting to have crazy bass or anything but this seems to have basically none at all. Can't complain much because it was cheap but I hope it'll sound better when I can finally get a PS5

Lol for the most part it is indeed good. Mic is a bit sensitive and clamp force is a little strong so it depends on your head size and environment (how noisy it is). Hopefully you like it!

I'm seeing alot of good reviews but bad ones aswell and so I don't know if I should get them. I'm not rich but even if I was, I don't want to put 100 bucks in a bad pair of headphones or even decent headphones with bad durability.

I can't hear my game out of the headset but when i turn them on i can talk out of it, do you know what is wrong? I've restored my game and everything, I've also hit the little button on the transmitter and held the button on my headset 5 seconds.. my headset is blinking blue but my transmitter is solid blue and the crazy thing is they were just working last night (when i got them) i'm so hurt i can't game right now
turtle beach is trash i got steel series today and its great and comfortable arctis 1.
Took these back same as before no separate game and chat volume adjust ,just like steel series arctixx X1 only volume and mic monitor adjust ,will wait for astro a20 gen 2 which will have that feature of desperate game and chat adjust buttons.
Just bought these about a week ago, pretty good Headsets. I still think Playstation Platinums are best for PS4. But these feel great so far, only issue is blending Game Chat - Party Chat.

Turn up the mic in the device settings then control the mic level thru the adjustment wheel
When charging the headphone is the light suppose to be off while charging or a red light comes on
It should be lit when charging. When the light is off it's fully charged. USB-C charges very quickly.

I have this headset and keeps disconnecting for no reason... I'm not out of range or anything and sometimes it doesn't even connect.

I have enjoyed this headset. But just today it has stopped pairing to the USB. Has anyone had this issue. I'm unable to put the USB into pairing mode.

You can use it while charging but the supplied USB-C to USB-A cable is very short. I end d up using a 4ft one I had bought and it's much better. Included cable is maybe two feet at best

@@rrogers2370 I have the first gen 700 for ps4. With the first gen that was my main problem. Would take almost 10 min on each start up to pair the 700's. Would just repeat the same steps and would randomly get it to work after the 5th or 6th time. Turned me off of wireless headsets because of how problematic it was
@@Tomsolo21 exactly. I tried for about 30mins initially..and nothing. Went upstairs ...looked at the instructions and tried it again. Magically it worked. Unless I was doing the wrong method to get a sync it was just fortune.

Those are the HS2 stands from Turtle Beach. They are a bit pricey but very hefty and made of real metal. $30 on Amazon
It's so annoying about the game to chat volume missing on these playstation models. Does anyone know of an alternative headset for a similar price that does have separate volume adjust for game and chat?

I get the 700 in the next couple days then I will work with TB on when the embargo lifts and update as soon as I can. We should be one of the first ones with the 700 Gen 2! I'm really looking forward to trying it out.

I keep hearing my voice in the headset and when I tried to connect to my MacBook’s audio hub app it didn’t show up but I’m literally listening to music rn with them
There are 2 „wheels“ at the headset. If you turn the „wheel“ to zero you don‘t hear your voice.
Enes Bolat doesn’t that mean I won’t be able to talk? I thought that would just make it quiet for everyone listening to me but I’ll test it out.

Audio mix will not work with PS5. Sony got rid of the dual audio stream output via USB so no USB headset will have chat mix any more. Sucks that Sony did it, but that's where we are unfortunately. You have to adjust chatmix in the PS5 menu when playing.
Does anybody else have an issue with the microphone where it’s super static sounding and you can’t speak unless it’s in a certain angle? If anybody has had this issue and knows how to fix it can you please let me know.

How loud is the mic monitoring on these? Unfortunately the gen 1s mic monitoring was really quiet even with volume maxed out... did they improve?
It's acceptable at 80% and above, but a bit quiet below that.
In terms of sound lag btwn the console and the headset, would you still recommend wireless o cable ones?
Lag is so low on these you can barely tell the difference! I play fairly competitively and these were excellent.
I don’t know if it’s just the copy I got, but my friends say the mic audio sounds very bad. They say it sounds very muffled. It sounds good in my end but they say it sounds really bad

I've used two different ones in game chat without telling my friends that I switched from my Astro A50s and no one noticed/made a comment. I have a buddy who's very quick to point out when someone's mic sucks and he never said anything. In testing I felt the 600s sound great for the money.

Okay so I have two huge questions, does this headset interfere with your internet? I bought it two days ago, works fine, and i noticed today that I wasn’t lagging at all when I got home, I didn’t have it connected, then as soon as I connect it, I lagged out. Or is it because I have an original PlayStation 4?
It never did with me, but I have a seen occasional comments stating the same issue you had. Can you connect to your 5 GHz wifi network to see if you have the same issues? Perhaps setting your 2.4 GHz channel to a different number could help as well
What’s the best sound for hearing footsteps on call of duty vanguard
I had the Gen 1s for a long ass time then it snapped at the part where it extends from the head band and ear phone, were the long stick part is on the left side. Then I replaced them and the same thing happened on the new pair on both sides this time. I only had it for less than a month, so I hope they improved the sturdiness of them. Do you think so before I invest my money into them?
I personally feel that it is sturdy. The way they molded it is different than the gen 1s to where they are a lot more study. Then again, your definition of sturdy may be different from mine.
They are definitely more sturdy than Gen 1s. From what I can tell, unless there is a defect it would take something pretty significant to physically break these.

Other sound devices can work. You would have to change the sound settings manually.

Not on the 600 no. Game Volume + Mic Monitoring Volume knobs. You have to adjust chat volume through PS dashboard.

I just got mine but for some reason I cant connect to the internet to play warzone. Once I unplug the dongle it works. I plug the dongle back in and I get serious lag and connection issues. I have the most recent update from turtle beach but I still have these issues. FYI I have it for ps5

It ended up being reversed by PlayStation and TurtleBeach marketing! Sony got rid of game/chat mix support and forces you to use the adjustments built in to the Playstation 5 user interface now. Sucks but that's how it is with almost every headset for PlayStation now.

How do I know when superhuman hearing is on because it just makes a beep sound when I press the button so I’m not sure wether I’m using superhuman mode or not
When you press the button after Turing it on then your on the mode so you have to keep track.

They don't use the Turtle Beach Control Studio. They use the Audio Hub on PC or Mac. The PS4/5 version does not have a firmware update yet, but it does get detected on that app. www.turtlebeach.com/pages/audio-hub
