- Part 1 - Over the Easter Weekend Howard and Heather took the drive up to Hawkesbury NSW for the 25th Silver Anniversary Australian Street Rod Nationals.
Enjoy a walk around the oval with around 800 cars, another episode will follow this week of more Rods and traders.

Howard should do a short series on sheds. Everyone loves checking out Sheds full of classic/muscle etc. and a walk around with the owner. keep up the good work…

Great coverage as usual, thank you Howard and Heather. The grey EH ute was interesting, while I was photographing it a bloke who seemed to know its history told me it had been widened 8 inches to accommodate a Commodore dash, the car was built around the dash. Also had an interesting front beaver panel that I couldn't work out and my informant didn't know either

Steve from Deluxe Rod Shop and his family run the Narrandera event each year. And yep, the blue 33 coupe 22 mins in won Top Hotrod at this event.

G'day Howard. We should have been there in my 41 coupe but my health had other ideas.
The pale green 32 roadster 18mins in also has a Frenzel supercharger on the flathead in it. Really rare piece of hotrod performance gear from back in the day.

Howard, we could cruise on the Thursday and the Friday and also on Saturday and Sunday we could cruise from 5pm until 10pm after the public left. Lots of fun.
My mistake.... the pale green 32 has a MacCullough supercharger.
The McCullough sat horizontal on top at the front with the carbs above that (like that one) whereas the Frenzel sat vertical above the centre of the manifold with the carbs behind it towards the firewall.

We had the hot rod shot here in wa in 2010 and I see so many of the cars in your pictures Howard and I have photos of the same cars
The custom FJ looks like it has been restored since I photographed it as it was just a dark red in my picture and yours looked like a candy red 👍👍
Might have been the second fj you showed near the end in my picture 😂😂
As I said in the video they drive them a lot as well

Mate love your work. It's all coming along the way you want it it is looking sensational Don't deviate from your plan end of the day you are building your car for you . Yes you will get the criticism but water off a ducks back .loving the look of it so far . Looking forward to seeing it finished. All the best mate

We had the Hot Rod Nationals up here in Maryborough Qld at our Showgrounds back in 2019
There were so many rods and all types.
There seamed to be a fare few Qld by the plates I saw
