Yes good topic for a video…also I have a question one of you may know…anyone know anything about using liquid lock to help keep the serving from seperating over the cam location? Info appreciated 😊
As a guy who is getting "older" eyes, I would love to see a video about clarifiers and Lenses. What is needed for what result and who would most benefit. target vs hunting applications, pros and cons. Thanks MFJJ! Love the content so far
I've learned allot from your set-up videos. I'm a DYI guy simply because of where I reside. I thrive in a very rural area. Focus on the DIY items and keep it simple for us slow guys. Awesome content and I love the quality of the items you review. I'm a frequent flyer of your business.
Really good video! Video idea: Your cams get scraped up. How to determine if reparable or not - and if so, recommendation on how to file out scuffs. Thanks
Different types and sizes of serving and what works best for various things on your bow…i.e center serving size, peep tie in size, soft nocks sizes, etc. Bad ass sight there! Definitely will be getting one when available!
1st, I appreciate the work and time you put into making informative vids. I would like to see a vid on setting up a blade rest and how to achieve Total fletching clearance.
I love the idea behind the features. Hoping I can get my hands on one soon A video idea would be tuning a budget bow that doesnt use newer systems. Like bear. To lean the cams and idlers
Can't wait to get my Boonie. I've been rocking the Tommy for a few years and love it, but the Boonie has several features that will be a big upgrade for me.
Awesome video thanks 🙏🏽. Love all your videos, I’m learning every day. You Tim and Dan are teaching me every day, so thanks in advance 🙏🏽. I’m learning on my adapt plus so I can by a Mathew’s from you again thanks 🙏🏽.
Video Idea: order of operations for properly sighting in your moveable sights, especially for slower speeds, and how to manipulate the setup to get the most useable adjustments. Also when and hot to torque tune: before or after site tapes. Thanks!
Video idea - arrow flight, paper tuning and arrow left / right setting. I know that for the nock left/right the "chase the nock" applies. However, the "why" of that strategy escapes me where up/down is easy to explain and clear. So why does "chase the nock" work and how does it relate to bow/arrow geometry (with a drop/down rest).
Would love to see a video where you do a full setup but using just bare minimum tools/levels/press etc. All your stuff is super helpful but it sometimes feels hopeless for the guy just starting to get a home tinker setup going when you always use the latest and greatest equipment. Which obviously makes sense for someone like yourself but it would helpful to hear a rundown of what a guy “needs” vs what things make it easier or slightly better. Really appreciate your videos though as all the bowshops around my area are terrible haha
It is relation between rest and sight. If you are torquing left and it impacts left move your sight away or rest towards you... if torque left and impact hits right do the opposite... that's it
Maybe explain what the bubble in your sight does and why you should pay attention to it? I know a few guys that openly admit they dont bother paying any attention to it when they shoot
Video idea= Would be cool to see a series on bows built for real long draw guys. There are so many bows in the peak out at 31-31.5, but above that the options narrow quite a bit, especially when looking at the heavy poundage options. Would love to see your opinion on the subject.
The heads are good , for what you get compared to other companies the thing that needs to be looked at is the sight light! They need a clic button instead of a dial. The batteries get screwed unless you tape the current kind.
Been cool to see a vid comparing different weight peeps (hamskea vs tru peep ect) and how they affect speed and arrow drop, same as different string silencers cat whiskers, monkey tail's ect, how much they slow the bow down/arrow drop and how well they work at quietening a bow, considering mathews and hoyt come with them from factory
@@Thedudeabides803 Definitley the same idea but something as simple as the adjustable slot on their wheel makes it different enough that there’s no infringement. And to be honest, HHA probably doesn’t want that smoke because they might have something similar happen to them that did to Athens. Not sure if HHA is a part of a conglomerate, but I’d say Spot Hogg as a bigger war chest if HHA is privately held.
Please talk a little about transitioning from a fixed sight to a slider. The slider is a really good idea! How did you get comfortable hunting with one pin set to a specific yardage knowing that if the deer/elk came in differently from what you planned you have to twist your slider before drawing rather than drawing and using the appropriate fixed pin? In a spot and stalk situation I think you would have time to adjust your sight before drawing.
Personaly I grem up on a multiple pin head but I love my sliding sight to know my yardage is exact for a longer shot. But I now have a 2 pin slider and it is honestly the best of both worlds. I can set it to shoot the yardage they are at and can gap shoot more accurately if they move when I draw. It saved me on the bull in my profile pic last year.
I have a direct mount on to my PSE Mach 1. With 20 yard pin zero'd, the rack is now flush with the bottom of sight body, meaning I cant utilize the "zero stop." Can I move the head portion up on the rack, and then slide rack down here?
What about a video explaining half outs, inserts, outserts, and collars as a basic. know there’s a ton out but concepts are the same but how do I know which is which when I order them if I didn’t know.
Video series idea: Please do a full video series on the fundamentals of how to shoot from start to finish. Specifically the stance, bow shoulder placement, and grip. I know you have a couple of videos, but a much more detailed video series would be amazing, I want to learn to shoot long-range like you/from you. Thank you mfjj.
Hey MFJJ, Is the hole spacing on the rail the same as the Hogg Father and Fast Eddie? Could one mount the windage adjustment of the Boonie onto older sights?
How about for us new archery that can’t shoot past 80 yards without the arrow hitting the scope. Got a triple stack fast Eddie XL picatinny mount. I’m good at 60 yards with my top pin.
I'm putting my wife in a bow currently. I'd like to see a video on building a lightweight arrow for a low poundage short draw length bow. Followed by building a 100 yard sight tape for TAC style shoots. ✌️
Nicely Done MFJJ, Video Suggestion; Let's talk about and test some knocks. Standard Vs Lighted. Fitment into shafts, the structural integrity of brand Y Vs Brand X etc. 4mm and 5mm. No need to shoot them per say but really reef on them to show us the strong over the weak. (YOUR OPPINION MATTERS TO US!!!! SO PLEASE DONT OVERLOOK THIS ACCURACY KILLER)
You NEED to do a GOOD video on paper tuning. I'm a member of a bow tuning forum on Facebook and there are so many people that have never even heard of paper tuning and they wonder why their arrows are hitting the target crooked
Video idea or just a question - if someone is switching from fixed pin sight to a slider, what is the best 1st slider for them to not get overwhelmed and still be able to we learning and tinkering with it for a 2-3 seasons? Many videos are focused on the "best sight" but they assume advanced archer that knows all the slider related nuances, if that person buys that slider as teir first one it might not use it up to the potential and get upset with the results, so what is best all-round slider for a new person that jumps to it? is it UV? spot Hogg? HHA? CBE? or Black Gold?
Is it confirmed you could put an ultraview head on the boonie? I like the idea of buying a headless boonie and then putting the UV three pin vertical on it but not sure how feasible that would actually be?
Great review. Have a HoggFather (heavy) been on my past 3 bows. Upgraded with 2-pin housing 3 years ago. Considered upgrade to Fast Eddie but liked changeable sight tape wheel of the HHA. Will be buying this Boonie when available. How much does the Boonie weigh?
@@bigz5262 Well in all fairness, it's going to be a while before these are readily available... So you have to wait a little bit before you upgrade... Just start saving now little by little until you can pick one up at your local shop...😂😁
Nice sight! Just don’t like the tape on the outside, as a hunter your arrows and quiver are in the way of your line of sight to make quick adjustments, move it to the inside and you’ll have a winner!
Interesting when you brought up them making this for a Hoyt and Cam Hanes uses a spot Hogg. Probably a solid investment on their part knowing he helps sell bows and sights.
My only gripe is these new heads don't work well in dusk and dawn because you can have a pin light but you can't see the level bubble in between the lines because you can't see through the the level glass like you could with the clear glass like on the 7 deadly pin heads...there would be enough background lightning to level up your bow. These new sight should have the ability like the unltraview where there's a light adjustment for pin and bubble....then we'll be in a perfect world...all our shots out here in Hawaii on axis are at first light and last light and the pin light and vision on that bubble is critical...much alohas
P I like to picatinny rail mount even though I don't have one. I have a Matthews but it looks like you can have the site up higher. Like is there's more adjustment isn't there? Thanks MF JJ
Dovetail version without the bracket in a double pin should weigh about 11.3 ounces. The dovetail model weighs about 13.2 and I think the bow mount weighs just under 2 ounces.
Video idea - getting peep sight perfectly pointing back, twisting string or moving fibers whichever you perfer
100% this! Came here to add this idea but ya beat be to it

Explain bareshaft tuning vs paper tuning. I feel like some will understand paper is just a start. Also how it can help with broadhead tuning.
I keep thinking i need to change out my tru glow rover but then i hear the prices of new bow sights
How to get the most arrow clearance out of the spot hogg sights, for long range shots.
So, 2 questions. Are the pins independently adjustable? And how far do the supplied sight tapes go?
