Spot-Hogg was so far ahead in time, their 10+ years old sight is still up there with the cool kids.
Freaking been loving mine to death for 8 years, and it never missed a beat. Updated with a triple stack pointer for my UV double pin scope on it. Love how Spot Hogg makes everything able to be retrofit.
Love hog and probably will never change it.
The Arrow Pro Tip is so money. I’m going to start that. Love this channel! My Hogg Father has been bullet proof for the last 4 years!

So I have the privilege to shoot local tournaments with a Spot Hogg engineer. Super knowledgeable guy and he has said that they are constantly working on new stuff. But it takes them a while to get new products out due to them wanting to make sure it’s right. They will make a demo/prototype and test it extensively before it will even come to market. Also they take pride in their product and QC as well.
First off Thanks for the new stickers that just appeared out of nowhere (already on my bow case). Also thanks for the video I had the Hogg Father a long time ago. Found a steal on a triple stack Hogg father. Once it gets here I will have to decide between it and the UV Slider I have now. Can't thank you guys enough for the good content........also down 10 lbs in body weight and up to 80lb draw weight since I started following you lol

One thing I always look for in a bow sight review. Is weight of the sight. People don't ever weigh a bow sight when they review or discuss. I just find it odd that the weight of the bow is so important but we rarely weigh accessories.

Yeah I was wondering the weights of these sights. Especially the Hogg father with the triple stack. Everyone says it’s heavy but what is heavy.

I’m about to sight in my Fast Eddie XL since I threw it on my new Hoyt and definitely hitting Precision Cut Archery for those new tapes. Love my Fast Eddie despite the weight, thing is bulletproof.

I have been shooting with the Tommy Hog Triple Stack since they were released.
I ordered it with the 2 top pins at .019, and the bottom pin at .010.
Heck the site was shipped just in foam wrap, no plastic pack or clamshell. :)
I have it directly side mounted, no PIC or through the riser with a Rise Quiver.
I used Josh's offset stabilizer bracket and no back bar, and it balances great. (I want to try the new Airlock Quiver, may even drop the offset bracket)
I love the site, it shoots great, stays fixed, and provides my durability and confidence while in the backcountry.
Love your channel Dan. Is that walk in cooler yours can you go over that in a video that’s awesome. Can wait to see what is in store for 2024.
Just sold my Tommy Hogg for a Montana Black Gold. Need that pin brightness for those wary Southern whitetails

@@lisavanhouten7806 I prefer Black Gold over Spot Hogg. Pin brightness, lighter weight and in my experience having owned 3 MBG sights… just as durable to SH.

I'm guessing Josh isn't the superstitious bow hunter type. If I take the same arrow out of my quiver 2 times in a row and don't see any game. I have to change it up... 13:00
bought the triple stack with the hard mount bracket. really like it but it is heavy. I would probably buy a second 2 pin scope to have for 3d/Tac and then put the triple stack scope on for hunting most likely. I assume I could just not use the 3rd indicator mark on the sight tape and not have to buy a new 2 pin indicator. adjust the second indicator to where the fixed double pin would be hitting.
I need to redo my sight tape since getting a new bow and also going away from FMJ’s but I have to wait till my bitzenburger left clamp gets in since apparently nobody has them in stock. About to hit up Archery Headquarters and just buy an EZ Fletch

I have both the Hogg father one pin and the fast Eddie xl triple stack. The triple stack is heavier and the sight housing is huge. A 1/4 inch peep lines up for me on the giant housing when the sight is mounted close to the riser so it seems I can’t go to a smaller peep without moving the dovetail out a ways. I have the .19 fibers in both because the .10 ones suck for seeing in early morning or late and inside blinds. I like the triple pin for easy sooting 20, 30, 40 on whitetail without moving the site but wish it was in a smaller housing so I could go with a slightly smaller peep. I like the micro adjust better on the Hogg father and the clear site picture of the one pin. Not a big fan of the circular sight tapes. I wish they used vertical sight tapes somehow.

Ive tried alot of sights but i always come back to spott hogg. They never fail. Wish the 3 pin vertical came with a smaller housing size but i still shoot the triple stack. I also love the 2 pin vertical but i hate you cant adjust the second pin where you want it. I have a couple different black gold sights but they are so cheesy to me ive seen multiple people strip out the up and down movement. I would never use that sight far from the truck.
Just got a Hog Father MRT 3 stack. 550. Any toughts on this sight ?

Hey Dan or Josh quick question I own a spot hog fast Eddie xl and have a 5pin . For years my level in the sight is hard to see not enough light comes threw what do you guys recommend
I wish they would use better hardware. All the bolts rusted on mine unless I kept it oiled. Low light conditions are no favorable with this sight also.
I bought pin light for my spott hogg and I tried to fit it with a thread adapter, the adapter looked good and clean threads but it didn't fit and at the end the threads from the spott hogg is ruined. And yes I was carefull and I am cnc machinist, so i think the thread was not clean from the factory and it is too fine thread for aluminium.
Thoughts and comments on how the spot hogg losses up over time? Ways to work around it?
What do you mean?
They have a lifetime warranty. Call them up and send it in if you have issues. They will overhaul it and make it new. There is 2 screws on the back that you can tighten up the rail tension. But they have to be set with equal tension and a little turn in the screws goes a very long ways.
You have to tighten the two screws on the inside of the frame as you roll the sight to the top of its travel and bottom of its limits. Slightly tightening it until you get rid of the looseness of the scope housing.

They ARE ridiculously pricey! 😬 BUT that sight........ leaves spot hog etc in its dust and is SO worth the money 😉
I now find the thought of using a separate range finder and adjustable bow sight, to be the same as drowning someone just to see "IF" they were a Witch 🤣

@podiumarcher3447 @elkshape is there anywhere to get the MRT rings for the triple stack?
They come from the factory with all the Triple stacks. Comes with a large and small MRT ring as well as the single ring lid. If yours did not come with it or your bought it second hand, you can call and order direct from Spot Hogg or call and your local shops as they may have some extra's laying around that they didn't give to customers or that where left behind. The triple stack uses the same rings as the regular 3 and 5 pin MRT sights.
