Absolutely insane what incredible music can be made on NES and Genesis sound chips. Like DAMN dude seriously my man made 3 straight up MASTERPIECES. Every track is a winner but especially Impact Zone, both versions of the beach music and the Outro. An extremely subtle and just PERFECT use of sad moods that instead of drowning you in depressive feels make the track bittersweet and addictive. It's like the end of a book you loved reading, that feeling that gets you when you approach the final pages. You're glad it's over but you're sad it's over. Godspeed dude, gonna throw you some money once I get that job next month.
@@stefans4562 I wasn't fully clear, but he used the software that was used on those sound chips, not the hardware directly. The music could still be played on an NES or Genesis/Mega Drive tho.
@@sebastiangorka200 You are able to tell from just how the music sounds that it's a genesis chip. I am not sure about the 8bit though: From what I know, NES did not support stereo, so there must be some sort of shenanigans going on here. EDIT: The 8bit ost seems to be mono. I hear the same instruments on the same volume on both L and R channels. Pretty impressive how clean the music sounds on mono.
Thank you Rainbowdragoneyes!! Awesome work as always!! Your music helped me out of a serious mental setback (since you guys came out with The Messenger OST). Been following your work ever since. God bless!!
You did a great job again!! Thank you for creating amazing music 👍 I completed Picnic Panic a couple of days ago and it was a painful fun. Much more difficult than the main game, and listening to your Outro track after completing it was so rewarding :)
I can't get enough of Shoreline Showdown. Such an amazing melody and technical implementation! That is compatible with the NES sound chip, isn't it? I cannot imagine, how I would've felt, if I heard that come out of my famiclone, back in my childhood, lol :D
I’m having a tuff time deciding which one is better, Shoreline Showdown or Tropical Tussle Edit: I have heard Basalt Assault so now there are 3 options
1. Picnic Panic Theme 00:00
2. Overgunned (Intro) 0:53
3. Impact Zone (Surf) 1:56
4. Sea Beast (Surf Boss) 4:31
5. The Tiki Shoppe 5:59
6. Shoreline Showdown (Beach) 8:13
7. Barma'thazël (Past) 10:40
8. Basalt Assault (Volcano) 11:18
9. Deadly Dash (Volcano Chase) 14:26
10. The Tiki Shopkeeper 15:57
11. Tropical Tussle (Beach) 18:11
12. The Ritual (Beach Boss) 20:38
13. Eruption Hazard (Volcano) 21:59
14. He Looks Familiar... 25:07
15. Landslide (Volcano Chase) 25:38
16. Doppelgänger 27:08
17. Title Bout (Volcano Boss) 27:39
18. Wingding (Outro) 30:11
oh, so bama'thazel is here as well... that fucking ASS!!! i took a fucking week to beat that asswhole! oooh i'll beat him again with pleasure!
comrade lenin You’ll indeed beat him with pleasure this time :)
*yeah*
*yeah*
God, I want a one hour version of the picnic panic theme for Christmas
Dev: So we're planning some free dlc.
RDE: Welp, time to make a whole nother album.
You can tell they had a lot of fun making the DLC.
Indeed

The Ritual might be my new favorite Messenger track.
Didn't it have 3 versions?
It just sped up after each "step"
@@GrimskunQc Actually no. It changed its beat a bit as well.
Dat good ol' Megadrive bass
and my least favourite boss
Those Volcano Chase themes are both so wonderful! I listen to them to and from work often. They get me amped up.
20:38 goes so hard while fighting the boss
Been playing the dlc. You hit it out the park with the beach tunes.
00:00 - 4:31 is what I eat, sleep and drink these days!
Siiiick transition from 1:52 !!!
The bass line is insane as always🤘
You son of a Manfred Dragon,. You and Sabotage did it again !
You son of a Manfred Dragon... is this confirmed that RDE is Manfred’s child?

The dislikes are people with absolutely no idea on what good video game music is supposed to sound like.
The ritual theme is so good !!!! 😍 I kept dying on the boss but literally couldn't rage cos I could listen to this song over and over !!
Same. That backing beat with the one semitone step is so addictive and clever. Easily one of my favourite songs from the main game and DLC.
I DO listen to this song over and over lol, it just nestles into my brain cracks so good
You are breathtaking!
Banger after banger. Only game I played with the music on max volume.
This is seriously some of your best work. Picnic panic was rad and I hope there's more Messenger music in store for us, eventually.
Your music is awesome, I hope you do more! :)
* Turns up the volume and bass *

compatible with the famicom yeah, because he's using the konami vrc6 sound expansion. technically the nes can too, with a small mod.
@@jc_dogen Thanks for the reply!
@@kakoiniksvoboden no problem lol
I need an extended version of all these, especially Shoreline Showdown and The Ritual
How did I miss this. Good stuff dude you need more exposure so underated
Yessss! I've been waiting for these tracks to drop!
Awesome stuff! Cant wait to play it tomorrow
Fucking amazing as always, man.
Your music really reminds me of metal. Especially the the base game sound track
Another great job with The SUMMER OST
I have jammed to this LET like 100 times already
make that 200 times
Make that 6900000000000000042000
Amazing soundtrack !!
BANGERS! ALL OF THEM!!!!
Cant wait to play this tomorrow. Quick question: how come you never uploaded the track from the vanilla game that plays during the stage intro cards?
20:38 is sooooo my jam.
Brother this adds on to you're legacy, so fucking crazy and clever. I hope you got plenty of ideas for part 2!! Great job!!!
so good.... so damn good...
Wait, it's out tomorrow?! Time to download it again...
Why even delete a game of mobile game file size...

Waiting for the LP release of this... so good.
This is top tier.
I wish I could see the famitracker files of the messenger soundtrack so I could figure out techniques Rainbowdragoneyes uses
rainbowdragoneyes is the real deal fool
oh shit. a genius
I love how I’m video the intro and surf theme sound combined.
Great music, as always!
Omfg Basalt Assault (Volcano) at 11:18
Tropical tussle is gold
omfg your shit is fucking nuts. soooo good. absolutely outstanding composition!

You are awesome
Can I use a song to make a video? Give you credits of course. Nice songs btw

Somehow, this is even more jammin than the original. Wooo!

really nice but im sad that the speeded version of the ritual is not here
You forgot Xbox in the description. It's even on Gamepass.

Do i hear OPL in these tunes?
Why does every indie game need to have a Punch-Out part? I'm not complaining (mostly) but it's still odd.
Because it’s funny and it’s like a joke among indie devs
Oh , I get it. Just like how the wilhelm scream is a joke in movies.
Brandon Martinez yeah kinda like that
Which other indie games have a punch out part?
