@@nolifegut as much as I enjoyed Larva Island, I always felt that Chuck was one of the weaker parts of the show. The point of Larva is that none of the characters talk, instead using vocalizations and/or body language to communicate. Which allowed anybody to understand what was going on regardless of where they’re from. But other than that I’d say that Larva Island was a fun show. I like how they brought back the Larva Rangers plot line, seeing as the New York Arc ended on a cliffhanger with Grey (the rat) finding the blueprints needed to create a mech of his own.
You seemed to be confused about the Red larva as Superman reversing the flow of time by pushing the Earth backwards, so to clarify, that is a direct reference to a plot point from the 1978 Superman film.
This show genuinely felt like a fever dream. It's especially insane how it had many seasons,a special and a MOVIE. Even then,I still loved how chaotic and silly the show was. Larva was the only show that had a pair of possibly related legless caterpillars suffering through the most absurd (and for the most part lethal) experiences one should never have to endure. And it had 2 episodes (Mayfly and One-Sided Love) that explored Red’s possessiveness when it comes to love, several episodes that revolve around Red and Yellow’s inseparability (one cannot live without the other), and even a Island episode where they, a crab-themed transformer and some marooned hobo merge to kick the ass of some street rat from New York who built a mech out literal trash just to get back at some insects (this was alluded to at the end of the Larva Rangers saga). Boy, this was a mouthful of a show, and I do not know why the hell I watched it with pure interest.
This show was an acid trip for kids, but it's nostalgic as hell. It's dissapointing how it became brainrot for Gen Alpha (even though it was technically always brainrot. It became worse brainrot).

Got my sister a larva birthday cake for her 22nd birthday lol. They cried during the movie lol. This show is a fever dream fr but is so funny
I first got in touch with the franchise with the tie-in game mobile game Larva Heroes, back in 2016. It was great for getting a glimpse of these characters as many of their moves highlighted most of their personality traits (ex. Yellow's chaotic and wide range of moves, Red's brash head-butt, Brown's quirky tribal dance...), and realizing they were originally meant to fill the small screen all along was such a surprise to me, and the rest was history. I fell in love with the series, most notably the third season, which cemented the relationship between the main quartet (Red, Yellow, Brown and Black) and where almost everyone gets his spotlight. Not only that, but the overall surreal tone of the series reminded me of another awesome cartoon of my childhood, Oggy and the Cockroaches, to the point where I always compare the two!
Seeing this show/shorts between other shows on Cartoon Network made me wonder if I’d just been gaslighting myself into believing it existed. Now I know that I, in fact, was not tripping, I’m not sure how to feel
I used to watch larva YEARS ago and I thought I was the only person who ever watched this show. I didn’t even know there were more episodes past the island.
This is literally just a "kids these days comment", like this show was literally just a dumping ground for the writers fetishes with a incredibly barebones plot, and thats coming from someone who grew up with it.
Remember that one episode were they’re just playing a game of hide and seek and then it randomly turns into an emotional tearjerker about a person who's still finding his long lost friend
Think it would’ve been funnier if Chuck was like the other humans. Doesn’t speak but is an antagonist. And since he’s on an island and is trying to survive, he’ll literally each anything. Including the animals/bugs. This allows for so much slap stick
I think Chuck speaking was really nice, it gave him some personality and I even got attached to season 4’s cast because they were so sweet and he was funny, it made the ending even sadder for me though. He spoke about larva with so much I don’t know, affection? They might’ve been weird little bugs but they were his only friends so it’s no surprise his voice was so tender :) Chuck leaving and not being able to see or know that red and yellow were still alive left me feeling so empty, I wanted them to meet one last time 😭

@@Theunknown-tomatoe Children are really easily influenced in a way that permanently changes them. That's why raven caused a whole generation to like alt women
I cant even tell you how much my sisters love this show. They basically recreated their "language" aka high pitched screaming and use it to communicate w each other.

Not only that, but the overall surreal tone of the series reminded me of another awesome cartoon of my childhood, Oggy and the Cockroaches, to the point where I always compare the two!
i can't believe i watched this as a kid 💀

Seeing this show/shorts between other shows on Cartoon Network made me wonder if I’d just been gaslighting myself into believing it existed. Now I know that I, in fact, was not tripping, I’m not sure how to feel
24:52 they added a random baddie😭
I used to watch larva YEARS ago and I thought I was the only person who ever watched this show. I didn’t even know there were more episodes past the island.
This show has actual drama, comedy, good writing and good character interactions which skibidi toilet lacks
@@lecinemong the original skibidi toilet is fine, what people hate is what came from it.
Content farms and brain rot.
This is literally just a "kids these days comment", like this show was literally just a dumping ground for the writers fetishes with a incredibly barebones plot, and thats coming from someone who grew up with it.
@@lecinemong The first few episodes of skibidi toilet are fine but the rest are brain fuckery 😭
Yeah screw the zodiac killer and the Mayan scripture we really need to solve the lore of this obscure Korean show from the 2010s/serious
Wasn't the show Korean?

They took it way too seriously lmfao
This whole show felt like one big fever dream ngl
Larva is what happens when you take the red and yellow m&m from the commercials and make them worms
oh, so this WASN’T a fever dream!
I remember watching this show when I was young.
Today, the only thing i hear about larva is “Oi Oi Oi”… (massive sigh)
As both a My Hero Academia fan and someone who used to watch Larva when I was a kid, I concur it's definitely a weird feeling seeing them combined 😭
Mk but every time i now look at red larva-
FREAKING OI OI OI 😭🙏
Think it would’ve been funnier if Chuck was like the other humans. Doesn’t speak but is an antagonist. And since he’s on an island and is trying to survive, he’ll literally each anything. Including the animals/bugs. This allows for so much slap stick
I think Chuck speaking was really nice, it gave him some personality and I even got attached to season 4’s cast because they were so sweet and he was funny, it made the ending even sadder for me though. He spoke about larva with so much I don’t know, affection? They might’ve been weird little bugs but they were his only friends so it’s no surprise his voice was so tender :) Chuck leaving and not being able to see or know that red and yellow were still alive left me feeling so empty, I wanted them to meet one last time 😭
I loved chuck
i may have binged the worm show for days straight because my niece liked the show and it didn't irritate me and now its kind of my jam.
