PPSH is godlike. The rate of fire just obliterates anything even at range.
I could be taking carefully aimed single shots with my AK, miss, miss, miss, hit.
But with the PPSH at twice the distance its just - BuRRR, hes dead jim.

the little thing in the bottom right that says (x) meters is your sighting range, not your rangefinder. sighting range is what range your sights are aligned to hit, and a rangefinder is a piece of equipment that measures how far the distance is between your gun and where your gun is pointed
The little white reflection on the type 64 rear sight is about centered on where you'll hit, and I know it works for at least 100m. Also, the rifle grenade MAS would have more recoil because it is designed to build up pressure at the end of the barrel.
I'm pretty sure the massive recoil on the launching variant of of the MAS 49 in RS2 is either game design oversight or kept for balancing purposes. The real rifle would only recoil like that when launching a rifle grenade.
On the MAS-49 launcher:
The grenade launching cup has gas checks to build more pressure (added range) using non-projectile launching blanks. The gas system features a gas-cutoff integrated with the grenade launching sight (many semi-auto rifles with rifle grenade capability compine the two). The cut-off means the action does not cycle, since the pressures and recoil would irreparably damage the rifle. This is of course in reference to the real life rifle.
I think the devs just neglected to give the gun two different recoil patterns, like how they left the grenade sight up (in the gas cutoff position) probably for simplicity.
On another note, the gun in the game is the earlier MAS-49 (adopted in France in 1949) with the offset tangent sight. It's a slightly odd choice since more than 13 times as many MAS 49/56's were made (adopted in France in 1957). The later model MAS-49/56 has a leaf sight quite similar to the Yugoslavian/Serbian M70 series of AK type rifles (the M70 grenade sight is based on the French design). Since the devs went with the MAS-49, I think they probably just didn't want to deal with modeling, zeroing, and animating leaf sights for grenade launching rifles seeing as how they left the insane recoil turned on for every shot (with the cutoff/grenade sight "turned on").
The MAS-49/56's muzzle device also acts as a combination compensator/flash hider as well as a grenade cup. That would kick so much ass in RS2.

he holds by the drum because the front part of the gun with all the holes in it, has those holes to release muzzle gas to reduce recoil. this gas is superheated tho so if you held it by that bit and fired you would burn ur hand off, and if you held it by the smooth bit behind the drum then your accuracy would be way worse.
ah yes, the grenade variant Mas-49 has more recoil because it lacks a proper flashhider to dissipate the round's energy. That's attention to detail right there on the game maker's part.

For beginner pilots, dont set collective to max [dont touch it at all], wait for RPM to reach green, this helps to fly up faster and early, where it is not true in vice versa, where setting up collective first causes RPM buildup to be way slower.

RS2V is such an underrated game.
I played this game before it went free on Epic Store and there were just 15-20 Big Maps Servers and 0 Small Map Serves on EU.
Now I'm happy, after it went free on Epic Store there are 30+ Big Maps Servers on and at least 10 Small Maps 💪

Just downloaded this game around the time Epic Games made the whole game free. It was definitely confusing at first but after some time you get the layout of the maps and gameplay as well. Your videos on RS2V really helped. Thanks! Keep on making more videos on getting better.

I prefer the drum because the extended ammo and because of my play style it just better fits it. I usually rush and then flank so I'm usually surrounded and need as much ammo without reloading just my opinion

Claymore+ shotgun is pretty good, setup a claymore somewhere where enemies frequent but is out of range of your shotgun so if you die you can still get kills from far away

drumm> stick by a long shot, and i wasn't even aware of the reduced recoil.
you're kinda glossing over the fact that the high rate of fire means you'll be emptying those mags at a higher rate, now say you shoot 20 rounds with the stick you're down to 15 rounds which is already a risky number for such a high rof, triggering you to reload , with the drum you've still got a comfy 45 left. the 10 extra rounds aren't worth it because when you're low on ammo they'll probably be dispersed over 3 different mags
yeah thats true the 10 rounds isn't meaningful but I just feel a lot faster when using the Magazines, but it changes depending on how well im doing in a game
Another tip I would like to add. When you manage to infiltrate to enemy backlines as a sniper amidst the chaos, use a pistol and aim the head. Make one shot and give it a rest by going back to a hiding spot. Do not try to tap more than once. Most of the time in the chaos enemies would be busy holding the grounds and focusing on the direct pressure by your allies :D

So, why do people like the XM177E1?? It just feels like an M16A1 but for closer range. The irons feel more constricted, and long range is significantly harder.

Well, you are totally wrong about the m16 sight “constricting the light to let you see farther”. Irl your brain naturally centers the front post in the rear circle. That’s the only difference. The center of the smaller circle is higher up than the center of the large circle. The smaller circle of the rear sight makes you angle the gun up in order to center the front sight. It is the same with all the other guns. Adjusting the sights on the grenade launcher demonstrate this extremely clearly.
actually, there's quite a difference between 50 and 100 meters. about 50 meters to be exact.

how do people get their guns to work on the heli pads?
you mean when they are waiting at the helipad? or when they are in the helicopter?
I thought the Devs stopped pilots being able to kill each other at the helipads to stop arguments about being gunners.
@@willmcgarry1631 you know what, that makes so much sense, but usually when I play me and the pilots have an unspoken agreement to switch whenever we die or crash, but I legit can see people shooting each other over that role
@@Tantwo I've seen people still using their handgun at the helipad the reason why I ask is that the other day a guy got on a Huey and tk'd the whole team and we couldn't do anything about it but vote him out I believe it is an f3 command to switch fire modes. if anyone knows any more about this, please respond and @ me.

Wait... what is the point of folding your stock?
it increases a weapons aim down site time but misaligns the sight and reduces the weapons accuracy
@@Tantwo You also walk much faster while ADS if you have the stock folded. The correct time to fold your stock is when you're in a cqc environment (like C on An Lao supremacy).
