Good to see you back man, I love this game, it's such a let down compared to it predecessor, the game have so much potential and yet the dev just kill it.
@Nicolas From my perspective well yes, at least for me since I like hardcore realism game, Rising Storm 1 feel harder and is better than Rising Storm 2 in term of mechanic hell even the effect is good, the flamethrower actually feel powerful in that game and the machine gun need to lay down to aim down sight, etc I think you should check out the gameplay, it just my opinion.
I don't know what crack you're smoking but the RS2 flamethrower is a monster.

@@ComradeAesthetic The rising storm 2 flamethrower is just a nerfed RS1 flamethrower, less ammo capacity and WAY shorter distance in the 2nd game. That's the only tangible change and honestly it's for the better since the RS2 flamethrower is still overpowered in close quarters.
I think a neat idea would have been implementing a propaganda meter/effect with the war photographer role into the campaign mode. Have it so that when the photographer role does war correspondent things ,likes taking photos, it would influence the propaganda meter giving buffs such as lower ticket bleed or increase victory points.

I like that idea. Would have been difficult to balance (make sure the buffs/nerfs aren't op af) but I like it. It would have been very unique. Also this dumbass "That's a dumb idea" lol

Such a great game, had many many great days playing this with the boys, leading the squad "The Gathering or Nong Gathering"... was so fun! Sad they didn't get to complete the roadmap or even more onto more content for Vietnam, I always wondered what could've came, but now I know, cheers for the video man! Hopefully 83' is good, probably won't beat Vietnam's setting but it might scratch that FPS itch I've had for a good game these past couple of years.

If I were to play a shooter again, I would love it to be a world war game made by the same devs. Really Post Scriptum and Hell Let Loose don’t cut it for me.
This game has the best balance between arcade and realism. And great movement and gunfeel.

Yeah i really realistic mechanics on shooting and taking damage but in most of the realistic shooters are walking simulators. RS really has a great balance. Map is not small you can manouever around it but it's not too large to become walking simulator.

So actually theres a server called mega server that had this implemented like a mod or something. There was m113 apc you can spawn on everymap near the spawn, deployable ammo box, modded huey for north, deployable dshk/50cal, etc. Well the server is down and theres some rumor/fact about the server installing virus on your computer, they say its a bitcoin miner. But the point is they got the m113 and deployable resupply crate.

It'd be really cool if there was an "Advisor" role for the ARVN and the NVA, who had access to really cool unusual weapons (like the Carl Gustaff m/45 and Stoner 63 MG for the South, Makarov PB and maybe some rare AK variant for the North).

Back when I first play RS2 (about 2-3 years ago) I had an idea with my friend (who introduced me to the game) that might can be an expansion pack. I call it Domino theory. Set after vietnam war when North Vietnam fighting Cambodia, Laos and Thailand. All I think about it is campaign mode where, as Vietnam, you have you Conquer Cambodia, Laos and Thailand before the The year 1979 when Chinese come and vietnam has to withdraw. I don't know much what faction another country has but I do for thai. You know something like Border Patrol Police Royal Thai Army and Royal Thai Marine.

but now I have a weird bug where my local chat is set to team for some reason and team to public, it seems the bugs don't stop coming to me
the server ive been playing lately called mega server has apc's im i missing somthing or is it modded cause tunnels are also a makeshift bunker and squad leads have a speed boost and rpg im guessing its modded but at that point ive only played modded servers and the edition of sandbags and bunkers

Heres how I fixed mine.
- I made sure my microphone was used properly in the settings.ini file.
- I REMOVED my RS2:V documents folder (Last resort)

it's such a shame that we never got the APC and Bot Support, i would have loved that, same with a co op mode
i mean, i am that type of person that prefers PvE over PvP, because to me, the benefit of bots, is that there won't be desync, or connection issues, or toxic players who teamkill or trash talk, i would have also loved to see tiger stripe camos and the ROK forces, but atleast we have the GOM mod which adds many of the things that isn't in the base game, and i also wish luck for AMG making '83

The poison trap is a good idea but i would add the medic the ability to suck out the poison to save the fellow soldier.

A simpler solution to the mic problem is to go into your recording devices in windows and disable all other mics besides the one you want to use. Its the same solution but just easier to do.

What I think would be cool is a Ho Chi Min trail game mode. Where some people are picked as the USAF and would bomb the trail while the rest of the people would be VC, and would have to get to a certain point without dying.

Maybe a Cambodia faction for the North since some of them do fought against the South faction
There is the GOM4 mod, which adds more factions (Cambodia, Korea, etc.)
These features could have been good, but Risingstorm 2 already is a great game.

They HAVE to port this onto console. The player base will skyrocket and people might come back to PC to play and the population will rise, meaning I can play maps I've never played before cause all I can find is 24/7 Resort servers. I miss your videos on this game!

The bot support thing is more important than you think, it prolongs the game forever. Because in RO2/RS1, at least you can still "play" the game even with a vast amount of its playerbase being gone. The problem with RS2 is that once people eventually move on, there's NO WAY to play it anymore (besides GOM). And if the bots are actually competent, then they could even actually be _fun_ to play against, useful for learning the game, or even useful for testing maps/strategies.
I keep downloading and deleting this game after a few months, helps storage and when I download it again I’m basically a noob again lol.
