Korean Air is hands down the best livery on the A380. Such a huge plane made to look so inviting and gentle as it hauls through the skies.

I dont know much about planes, I once traveled on Emirates from London to Dubai and did experience a different feeling and different type of plane. Turns out to be A380 which is really a truely flying experience !!
It shows the beauty and gracefulness of flying.
I took this A380 from HK to Seoul and to LAX and back again last January and it was amazing. The entire upper deck is business class with 2 bar lounges. Downstairs another bar lounge and the only in flight "shop" for duty free on any aircraft. The Incheon airport in Seoul was one of the best I've ever experienced. Great flight and I'll do it again this December.

as a half french, half american guy... the Boeing 747... designed in the mid 1960's and still flying today... is the most handsome wide-body ever. The A380, MD-11, A330,Boeing's own 777 and even Lockheed Tristar... while all meritorious in their own right... and own place and time... can not hold a candle to the original jumbo jet... at least not in overall appearance. It is just a fact that anybody who appreciates design would be hard pressed to argue with.

great videos/ in august i took a KAL 380 from LA to Seoul - think it was a night flight. i get excited if i imagine i was flying like in one of these like this! i really wonder how they take these shots!?...amazing...i really love airplanes and the 380 looks cool to me.

What a monster! Beautiful aircraft. I'm a Boeing fan but Airbus outdid themselves on this baby :) I read an article not to long ago, about cracks being detected on the wings of the A380. But still considered safe to fly. Has anybody heard about this? Any info?

I havent experienced A380 but hav flown few times in 777.....nd luckily did get the window seat one time with a PErfect wing view...nd the feeling is really got no wrods to be describes..

36000 feet or 11000 meters, but otherwise what you say is right on! I usually try to get a window seat so I can marvel at the sight before me outside the window. It is a wonderful feeling. :)

Arka Biswas Bullshit. mid air collisions are hardly ever avoided by vision alone. you can have a relative speed of more than the speed of sound. if you can see a plane, even with highly visible colors, it may already be too late. ever heard of TCAS and air traffic control?

common guys.....i wrote those comments based on the episodes of air crash investigations.....i am a big fan of the shows....it is a well known fact that the aircraft altimeter sensors does not always work because they are blocked by ice especially when the plane takes off from a cold airport.....even in cruising altitude the gps does not alwas work....so often,the atc or tcas does not have the proper data or the radar signals .......it was said in one of the mid air collision episodes of air crash investigation that in this kinda case the 2 aircraft can be saved if the pilot has clear vision and change altitude at his reflex.....color does make diff in this matter....and it is very rare to have a head on when there is nothing to do.....most of the flight path in mid air collisions are not parallel or perpendicular at the intersection........i will post the link of the episode here.... Jazoray im not an aironautic engg or a pilot but may b i am well informed by tcas or atc

well as far as I can remember I watched all episodes of ACI and do not remember one instance where color scheme/livery was mentioned as a factor that could help avoid a crash before radar, tcas and so on. but I might be wrong, so I will gladly await your link. enlighten us please.

Mine are both of those, although I really like the 737 as well, my favorite are the A380 and the B77W
@californianights Because the load isn't just 'held' by the wings. If you, the wings are angular, not at 90 degreese to the main plane. This is to help with windflow/aerodynamics but also means that the spread of the load won't be held in the wings, but more towards the joints and the underbelly of the plane itself. Also, you have to remember that it is engineered within itself to help hold the weight and spread it evenly, eg: support beams and cross-sectional bars across the floors :)
