"So we’re all getting a little sick of hearing about Rolex and Patek Philippe all the time."
Yes, yes i'm. Glad to see more variety.
They are the best though
Chris P. Bacon depends on your definition
@B B They have monopolized the top tier, Patek being probably the classiest and Rolex having the best marketing department. The most BORING brand is IMHO A. Lange & Söhne who produce well-machined and heavy-looking German tanks. If I were to buy anything from Richemont group, I would go for Vacheron Constantin rather than ALS.
tophorable “German tanks”; come on, really?
@@dirkscheffler3935 Yeah, both ALS and German tanks are quite solid but look kind of heavy. I have no doubt they work fine, but they don't look elegant to me :)
WatchFinder & Co. Deserves an Award for being the best watch channel in the world.
You forgot ua-cam.com/users/pinchmeeee :)
@@RobbieKhan It this guy that dickhead admin from AWBSS? ROFL
They are all great!

Agreed
ua-cam.com/users/theurbangentry the best content by far! 👍💯
"A collection doesn't have to be mainstream to be special" what an insight!!!
The perfect 3 watch collection is 3 watches you personally really like or enjoy. Doesn't matter about the name or the cost or the type or most importantly what others think about it. It's your collection
Couldn’t agree more! Buy watches that make you smile!
You take "the perfect watch collection" literally and hence state the obvious
@@TD-cg7qh And?.....
@@TD-cg7qh I'm with you.
i respectfully disagree. yes there is a perfect watch collection for an individual (which doesnt necessarily mean 3 haha), but a "perfect" watch collection should not only be perfect for the person, but allow a person to have a watch for every occasion and be proud of the watch.
Always a good bed time story this guy is super always a treat to watch i love these videos well worth getting up for 1:00am here in Austin TX but keep it fresh bring more new things
It's always a treat to watch GS macro shots
While I usually agree, the minute hand on this is slightly bent which was disappointing to see. Probably the first time I've seen something I would actually have a problem with on these GS videos.
That's the closest-to-my-desire mini collection that has featured on this channel. Crisp, Bauhaus design, outstanding finish (and precision) and a real long-run horse dripping with horological history.
Thank you!
*A Grand Seiko is the icing on the cake, of ANY watch collection.* 👏👏👏
Always enjoy listening your videos and the most surprising thing for me is that i actually agree with your point of view
These are (for me) by far the best videos on UA-cam. I literally have to watch any new posts as soon as I see them.
For me the GS was the pick of the three 👍
Very informative. Thank you Watchfinder & Co.
That was a tremendous video. Different from most on this channel (which are also great in their own right) but highly relevant to watch geeks that don't have the unlimited funds required for Rolex and AP and Lange.
Tremendous camera work and narration as well! Master class!
I concur with your selection but I missed JLC there ! Ty!
I swear if GS made their watches just a tad smaller, they’d enter the realm of “too good to be true”
Ian GS have some watches in 38 and 39 mm...
I have the SBGA283, and there's also the black dial SBGA285. Both are 39mm, and wear exceptionally well.
They tend to be bigger on paper than in person, the particular GS in the vid is 40mm but lug to lug is only 46.3mm...wears more like a 38mm. The case shapes also lends to a smaller feel on wrist. So pair that with the out-of-this-world finishing, its pretty breathtaking
Have to agree with the comments made, they do tend to wear a little smaller than their dimensions suggest. I've a midnight blue spring drive and, luckily, the limited edition red dial 'autumn' hi beat. 40mm and 39.5mm respectively. I've small wrists but because of the lug width, curvature and some clever brush and polish, it feels slimmer and smaller than it should. If they ever do manage a sub 10mm hi beat or spring drive then I think they'll conquer the world.
Aller Lugs and Bezel would do so much
Always loved that Zenith and movement. Great content 🙏🏼
I really enjoyed this video. Thank you.
Watchfinder: "There are Watches, and there are watches; and these three are..."
Me: "Watches?"
A brilliant channel and extremely informative. Keep up the good work.
Amazing watches! I like that the difference in the brands.
Absolutely amazing. What a video 💯💯
Kudos! As always, to the point sir! Ideal choice to double my current 3 watch collection
Watchfinder is the best channel on all UA-cam.
Thank you very much for your content. Appreciated.
This Zenith got one of the most beautiful dial. The colors and the finish I have personally never seen before!
Great video, thank you Watchfinder.
Great video, quite refreshing!
Heck of a nice 3 watch collection. My 3 watch collection is also represented by Germany (Stowa), Japan (GS), and Switzerland (Breitling). I‘m not a chronograph guy, but if I got one, it would be a Zenith.
I want the Watchfinder light box to follow my wrist around everywhere I go. GREAT videography as usual!
Awesome video. Love all three watch brands.
Glad to see the Zenith Classic Cars getting a little love, even if it is shared screen time with the others. The Classic Cars was my first luxury watch and will be my favorite for all time. Great vid, and excellent choices for the 3 watch collection.
If you ask me, above the monetary value and prestige of the other more known brands mentioned, it's the history and uniqueness of the Zenith El Primero and the Grand Seikos that appeal more. This is a great collection, and was always on the top of my list to have, along withe the Speedmaster, Blackbay and Snowflake. Great video!
I owned the GS GMT hi-beat for a short while. Loved the watch except for its thickness. If Seiko can slim the case down a couple of mm, it would be a winner. The bracelet isn’t on the same level as the watch head, but it’s still quite nice. I replaced it with a snowflake - which, IMO, is the best GS model available.
Good to see that Nomos, a great watchmaker, have been featured. A look at the Metro next would be great.
That little extra reverb on chunky was quite enjoyable 😂
Rather eerie : exactly the movements I am looking for my beginner's collection. I own a El Primero with a calendar for now, looking for an everyday wear Nomos.
Now this is my kind of collection!
Fantastic collection 👍
Yep all three for me. Great vid mate.
They are both beautiful watches !!! It really comes down to taste and what kind of person you are. The beauty of someone's collection is you can have different watches for mood, occasion etc. That rolex model you couldn't give away years ago now look you just don't know.
I love this selection: different, well-considered, attainable.
I guessed the first two but I was expecting Tudor or the Speedmaster in the number 3 spot. Great video!
"Bangs out" is an appropriate description
of a 36,000 bph movement.
Excellent macros of alternatives.
Thx WF.
Excellent and couldn't agree more, given I have all three brands, and they make me very happy.
Nomos watches truly are amazing. It is probably going to be my first "luxury" watch
It is crazy how the dial of this watch (3:38 and 4:38) is so similar to the new Seiko Alpinist 1959 Depp Lake. It has same kind of "dna sequence' shape like detail. Gorgeous for a Seiko.
The Breguet type XX is also one hell of a watch.
Yes it is.
Awesome video, a much needed break from the constant Black Bay Blue content from elsewhere.. Those 3 brands are precisely my favourites, I hope to have them in my collection someday!
The blue strap at El Primero is misplaced upside down, but is also the one I like the most.
Great Video ! Please make a Video with Sinn U2 S!
Love those videos! Any chance that you could do one on Ulysse Nardin and especially the ulysse nardin regatta chronograph. I have seen that watch in a store some time back and can´t get it out of my mind. Please keep posting -> your videos are my daily Zen moment :)
Gorgeous El Primero.
If I was to go outside PP/Rolex, and build a 3 watch collection, I like the idea of a VC Overseas chronograph, Tudor BB58 and a JLC grand reverso duo face. This would cover a lot of bases.
Very nice video. Congratulations.
I am looking to add that Grand Seiko for my third piece to finish my perfect three piece collection!
The Zenith collection is stunning and extremely affordable..i had no idea they had a Daytona styled "El Primero" wich costs around 2500€
Perfect collection! A square Nomos would be nice
Great video! I was convinced I was going to see a Jaeger-LeCoultre after you pulled out the Nomos and Grand Seiko
Gorgeous!
beautiful video ❤️ i am always pleased watching your videos 🙏🏼
Ah great now I can go to bed. I can't believe I actually wait up for these. Thank goodness I'm retired. Great review. I've been eyeing that Nomos maybe next year.
A superb trio
please put this in 4k it would look amazing!!!!!
One of your best videos
What a grand day, when watchfinder puts out another clip.
I’ve never had a thumbnail speak to me more than this one
Yes! Variety 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Nice! My 3 watches collection would be my beloved first mechanical watch (Seiko Alpinist SARB017), a Grand Seiko Snowflake and a Zenith El Primero :)
I own a Nomos Tangente and man, is it a beauty!
That gs is a treat
This is a great three piece selection!
Love your videos, personally own the first version of Ahoi Atlantik and it is gorgeous. Sometimes I consider getting the one with the neomatik movement.what is your take on this idea?
Three outstanding watches and a great video.
IWC and Omega also have some outstanding offerings if a Rolex just isn’t your thing.
Wonderful Trio
Would love to see a video with the nomos club campus 38 in it.
Zenith loooooove
That SBGJ213 looks so damn good. One of my many grails.
El primero is my favorite of the 3, by far. What a watch..
Would love to see a video on Bovet
The Nomos is a great choice, even though I would prefer the Club Campus Neomatik or the Orion, if you prefer a dress watch.
I’ve never had anyone recognize my Nomos except 1 guy. He was wearing a AL & S. What a conversation we had
Great trifecta collection.
My three watch collection currently in order of purchase:
Marathon MSAR
Damasko DS30
Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical
I have a pro trek and a GShock 5800 DW but, they were purchased long long ago before I fell in love with watches, so I don’t really count them as I don’t use them
The best part of Grand Seiko is the depreciation. You can pick up amazing pieces for 30%+ off retail in immaculate condition. Staggering value
Finally! A realistic and fantastic watch collection. It’s easy to recommend three $100K watches but thought went into this collection. Well done.
Nice trio
The Nomos Tetra and Metro are just absolutely gorgeous. Also let's not rule out the Tudor Black Bay 38, a wonderful piece.
36?
Finally the ahoi datum I own and love deeply get‘s some love! Not the Orion, tangente or Ludwig. Thank you!
Thx. My GS finally. :)
Picked one up a few weeks ago as well, excited to see it get some love :)
Love Nomos
Could you guys make a review of the ML Aikon Mercury free hands?
Very nice! Keep doing more of these! Enough of Rolex and Patek, both models which are not available. I don’t want to hear about what I can’t get; only about what I can get.
I'm proud to say that the three watches suggested in this video are the models I intend to purchase as my first three - full credit to Watchfinder for guiding me towards what to look for! Question is... Which to get first?!
The first 2 were completely left field but that El Primero does belong in every collection. So over looked and under rated but but still ticking away at 36000 vph since 1969! Rock on 👌
That strap you have there on the el primero matches perfectly! Is that the standard strap or did you buy it. As there are so many different versions I can't find out on the internet
Just checked chrono24 after googling the watch name/model in the video description:
www.chrono24.com/zenith/ref-03204640025c802.htm#gref
The strap in these examples is a mirror image of the one he wears though.
Can you please review the Breguet Royal Marine Alarm
If I was doing a collection to highlight movement technology, this would be a great choice. That is usually pretty far down on my list of dollars out the door for.
As always, the talking hands make some solid points
I really really want the Zenith. More beauty then many Rolex. The spec and colour. ❤️
Do a Pequignet rue royale review please !
i had 4 Nomos, I sold the date ones, it does not have automatic date setting, You have to go back & forth between 9pm to 2am to set each date, Pain. The new ones have back & forth date setting but not all models have the movement.
