He went out to get smokes. But then they put the price of smokes up drastically, so he had to get a second job which meant he had to go overseas, smokes went up even more… Terrible tragedy.
I guess I’m in the minority, but I own the IWC Pilot’s Chrono Petronas IW3881-08 that I bought in Switzerland from an AD some years ago. I loved the way it looked but didn’t like how it wore on my wrist-it just looked small. That's why I'm considering selling it. I'll do some research to find out its worth now.
My watch was purchased 2 years ago from amzwatch and, to this day, it still looks and runs as well as it did the day it arrived. That movement has never missed a beat despite never having been serviced. I can't complain about that.
Well most of this is because Grand Seiko inventory (new and used) are heavily traded in Japanese yen, which is now at a 40 year low against the US Dollar. So the question is... will the Japanese yen fall even more? That will automatically discount the GS further.

But, with the weak yen -- a ton of "tourists" buy watches for cheap in Japan tax-free, fly back to Europe without declaring them to customs and then flip these watches to grey market dealers. So the overall market still depreciates.

got my 39mm with the white dial on the 3-link "Bader" bracelet watch on MaMaCoo 3 weeks ago and am loving it to pieces. Absolute fantastic watch that wears super comfortable on my 6.75 inch wrist. Chose the 3-link over the 5-link bracelet for the toolless quick adjustment. Way more comfortable than my Longines Hydroconquest 41 mm.

Great Video, loved it. BUT I did have a laugh when you reviewed the VC watches - as I own both of them. When I purchased the O/S it wasn't a hype/popular piece. I brought the O/S from the local AD several yrs ago, it was in the display window, and straight away I said that is a great watch - went back a week later and brought it. Got the 222 late in 2022, and it's also a great watch. I would prefer the hype went away- as hopefully it is. Both great watches and plan to keep em for ever. Funny how one can end with hype pieces without trying .

Black bay chrono is crazy it's like people bought these as a substitute for the Daytona, I've got a good relationship with my AD, I wanted to start customer profiles for my step sons, I took the eldest last year for his 21st and this year the second eldest turned 21 and was adamant he wanted the chrono and I sourced him an absolutely mint pre owned for sub 3k, what a steal and if he wants a rolex of something less obtainable down the line I'll just get it on my account

You’ve mixed the new and discontinued Daytona platinum, showing the graph of the discontinued version but photos of the current model with transparent case back, which trades at a much higher premium.
Have a look at the GP Laureato. The Gen 1 pieces were 1200 despite being twice that new. GP is always half when you walk out the store they say, but the Laureto was one I never saw that cheap. Roland Ranff (RIP) told me about this.
I can’t have a Chronograph with only 30 min sub register, every event I usually time including my commuting is more than 45 min, the only thing under 30 are cooked to perfection 12 min ribeye steaks 😂
