How about tackling the issue of corruption in one-party authorities and constituencies in the UK? I've lived in Tory, Labour and marginal authorities and constituencies and the former two have been very corrupt and unresponsive indeed. I get the impression that in marginal areas, parties have to fight to serve the people rather than use their monopoly of power to serve themselves and their 'friends'.
Trying to kill Thatcher - suddenly Irish plumbers in the South-East of England disappeared from the phone book yellow pages there. I think they suddenly turned up in Boston, Massachusetts, later, for some reason. Lost all their trade in SE England, apparently.
23:30 - Johnny Cash singing Hurt, cover of Nine Inch Nails song (or was it six?). And him singing Personal Jesus, Depeche Mode cover - both on his final album before he died, shortly after his wife June Carter had passed away. ✝️😎🎶👍
I am a 69yr old Brit, I grew to understanding the world based on my 60's childhood and then in the 70's distrusted Thatcher from the start, but I thought to give her a chance J Major was the first Tory I would consider voting for, When Blair was elected I was over the moon, Finally a Labour Gov.uk, It didn't last long b4 I realised that he had taken Caesars gold, or become something Darker to a Democratic Nation. A Career Politician, i.e. not here to serve but Lord over you
The famous Goebbels line 'Always accuse the other side of what you are guilty off' might be a theme tune for the Tories & the other Enemies of Labour & Keir Starmer.
One thing I wish Malcolm would ask Rory is what do the Tories actually stand for, they say they stand for these 7 Core Principles of Conservatism, Individual Freedom. The birth of our great nation was inspired by the bold declaration that our individual,God-given liberties should be preserved against government intrusion. ... Limited Government. ... The Rule of Law. ... Peace through Strength. ... Fiscal Responsibility. ...Free Markets. ...Human Dignity. As far as I can see, none of these things are true, once they get into power that is.
Katie for Vice President yes, Buttigieg is inexperienced. Please not Joe Biden. The poor man has good intentions, but is already on the verge of his dotage.
Actors - can't beat Larry. He was superb as the German Nazi nutter in the Marathon Man. And he must be a saint for talking on the schizophrenic Vivien Leigh. Poor beautiful woman, she was definitely not well.
Westminster, these days, is seriously lacking in stand up comedians. I notice Rory didn't mention Michael Gove, the failed stand up comedian from the early 1990s. Ladies and gentlemen, Michael Gove!!! (cue the tumbleweed and the slowly clanging chapel bell below boot hill...)
Fiona Miller has got to be Catholic to put up with Alastair Campbell. She regards Alastair as a mission, a misery for her past sins. As for Rory's misses, I haven't a clue - no information.

Suggest politics hasn't changed.

Malcolm 😂😂😂
"Richard Desmond actually owns the copyright to some of my works."
Who knew that Alastair writes porn on the side.....😉
Pete Buttigieg would be a good choice for nomination and watch out for Katie Porter as running mate.
Or vice versa? Either way works for me.

It's time for labour
Michael D. Higgins was an academic and that fits with his background.
Conservative Dennis Healey's "like being unexpectedly savaged by a dead sheep" was pretty good.
Mr Nice by Howard Marks, featuring Captain James McCann of the IRA, is worth a read, if anyone hasn't.
Pffft! Grattan....apologist for the destroyer of referendums, John Howard.

I hide the Spectator.

20:50 - Copies of Pravda on British Airways covering the Daily Snails - now that would be funny, jah.
Entschuldegung Misses/Mr/other BA???
Dear Alistair & Rory, why did you accidentally-on-purpose swerve the - part-of-the - q re energy profits going abroad....?

Wouldn't vote for either of these two. Even during this conversation they can't decide on what direction to travel.
If Sunak is so “grown up” as a politician, why doesn’t he wear grown up clothes?
found them weapons of mass destruction yet alastair , how many Iraqis died
