Looking back, I'm so thankful that I kept this footage. This was a huge moment in my life, and I'm glad I was able to share it with you - even the cringe moments. It’s been just over two years now since I purchased this 2011 Range Rover. Over the last two years, nearly everything has changed but also come full circle. For today’s video, I thought it would be a little more special to do a video about the story of buying the Range Rover.
Nic and I both decided it would be best to record the moment. Whether we used the footage or not, it was a huge moment in my life. I was about to buy my dream car, and I had a pumpkin on my head. You’ll see that momentarily, so I’ll just go ahead and apologize for that.
It started back years before that, though. I saw an L322 Range Rover and instantly fell in love. I would watch Top Gear just so I could see small glimpses of the crew cars and camera cars, which at the time were often L322 Range Rovers. I would stay up late at night watching videos of the cars, and I would even count the Range Rovers that I would see on the road. It was purely an obsession from the beginning, and I am so beyond proud of this car and everything it represents to me. For most people, it’s just a used Range Rover. For me, it represents a childhood dream and a future I’ve always dreamt of.
So let’s go ahead and play the video we recorded of buying the Range Rover. Oh, and another quick note. My arrogance and ignorance of buying a car and what I was buying is unbearable at times. As I said, things have changed since then. So just ignore those parts.
