I the reason I like John so much is he reminds me of myself when I finally get someone in my garden to talk to about the garden lol
The bits of pure gold info that slips from his Irish lips I grasp onto and jot in my garden journal.
Thank you John for sharing your horticultural wisdom🌸🌳🌿
So happy to see you back, we have missed you 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Love John's knowledge of plants, and his infectious enthusiasm for that beautiful garden. His excitement at continually seeking to change and improve its design encourages me to try new ideas too. So thank you. Can't wait for the next 'episode' !
Diggin through the archives John and so glad I found this upload! A joy to watch sir!
The libertia and geranium combination is stunning. I love seeing your garden in the different seasons too
This is like a master course of companion planting. Can't stop taking notes and getting to the garden centre to check out what's available. Thank you!
Thank you for another wonderful cornucopia of plant guidance, always enlightening and inspiring! The Geums are gorgeous! Trimmed up trees enhanced the beauty of the surrounding gardens!

I'm sitting here Sunday morning 30 / 5 / 21- in my element - to have the pleasure of watching you - in your lovely garden - have been out in the garden already - just love gardening - now back inside house waiting for shopping delivery - delivery driver in for shock when he see's me - as usual wearing old scabby top and trousers - my gardening uniform ha ha - but John as I always say about you - you bring out the joy of gardening - with your humour and informative video - so thank you and have a pleasant day.
John we loved viewing your gardens in this video. Happy Gardening 2021!
🙋hi from Scotland hi John and unseen camera 📷 man nice to see you back thanks for sharing this amazing footage love you gardens you have some amazing plants just love all the information you give a out each plant take care Anne Scott from Scotland oh !! Nice shirt
Well! Isn’t this a treat? This is my first exposure to John and his garden, and one does not get a chance to catch up, isn’t it? A most energetic and scattered tour of a sumptuous bevy of plants and paths and secret places, where, supposedly, I have to take a number along with the bees and wasps to get access... well done, I say!💐
Always a treat to watch your videos, love your energy and your humour threaded into your garden knowledge. Thanks for sharing 👍❤️😊
So glad to see you again.
👍🏻Remember everyone give John a 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 it helps spread the ❤️❤️
Fantastic and informative as always John. Great to see you back and looking forward to seeing your gardens come to life over the summer 👍

Hi From NZ
So look forward to your videos as do so many others. Hint Hint .
Fantastic to see the sun shining and the garden bursting with new life 👌
Great to see you back, April was brutal
This is the best day! John Lord's out and about teaching us all about Angelica, I'm selling my bees tickets now, so I better find some Angelica! Those ferns are gorgeous in the woodland setting! Thanks again, Cheers!
I hope there is someone who put John to bed at night otherrwise he wil be Gardening for 24 7 Youre great John thank you for letting us in to youre wonderful world of plants
🇨🇦🧑🌾Bad April makes one appreciate May! Plants bounce back after frost, for the most part. Many gardeners are afraid to cut plants back!
Great to see you again!!
Beautiful the older I get the more I love all vegetation. I've just been looking at bannana trees growing in 🏴 England, just in the right place. I remeber we used to have angelica on cakes on trifle. It was delicious 😋
I watch gardeners world yet prefer John 👍
Hmm I pretty much gave up watching G.W. But I always watch for John Lord’s Secret Garden latest video!
Great and thank you from Ohio.
A great garden has birdsong like this one does
A genuine delight.😊
John, THANKS for taking the advice to talk about the garden! Like others I look forward to the informative tips, the planting combinations, the flashed screen identification and the odd bits of humor thrown into the mix.
Waiting here in the mountains of NC for the heat to bring along my plot of Veronicastrum Virginiana.
Teddy, at this time of gardening year, is the star. xx
Cheers John 👍
Another great video.
John is the best. Best
Thank you!! Another great one!
My Joe Pye weed was up around 5’ and I just saw that deer must’ve visited since it’s now 2’ tall. It’s very cold again here, 44°F and I’m worried about my pepper plants outside. 🥶 Your videos are really great except that they need to appear more often! ❤️💖💕
What is the name of that tool please, I need one of those! Great video thanks for sharing your lovely garden and plants with us.
hi 😁😁😁🤣🤣🤣😂😂👍😍 north Kerry is the same this year as well.
Great to see you back!!
You are a treat to watch .I was so happy when you showed the geum I started from seed Mrs Bradshaw geum .it didn't have a good picture of it so I was taking a chance that it would be nice I like the way yours look hope this one I have will be just a good .great video thank you
I bet the plants hate to see you coming😂
Oooh the edging is pretty
That angelica will seed its self around as its a biennial like foxglove. They get massive like 8ft tall but are beautiful
How can the cameraman keep a straight face with all John's shenanigans?
Great to hear some fresh planting suggestions Thankyou 😊
I got a Geom last year on your suggestion. I love it. It’s flowering for ages.
Great to see a very good border on it's way to becoming a potentially magnificent border, highlight (of many) for me was the pop of the Ulmus Wredei ...previously when you showcased the Cotinus Grace i had thought of going down that path or maybe the golden spirit version ...but the downside is the endless (or at least seasonal) pruning required. Many have commented on wishing to see more of you ..but sometimes it's good to wait for a good thing. Thanks for sharing your knowledge
Thanks for the tip about cutting down Libertia, mine needs rejuvenation.
I really like the wood edging you do on the flower beds. Can I ask: what wood is it, is it perfectly round, half buried or spiked into the ground? Thank you from Canada for all your wonderful words of wisdom in the garden. You have taught me so much!
It's just treated tree stakes with the points cut off and screwed together and basically resting on the ground
That’s the only type of shovel I ever use
so you basicly grow in garden and sell the plants later when they've grown? Or am i missing something? Nice channel
🥰
Good.man
Hiya John, do you ever fo open days at your garden?
John what is the garden boarder made of in the first 3 minutes I paused. Is that a concrete boarder? I need this edeging to create my garden too! So love your videos!
Looks like landscape timbers.
Its farmers pencil posts, he cuts them at an angle and fixes them together and to the ground. If you have a look though his earlier videos he shows how he does it.
John. My new boxwood ( I got off some “lad” ) is not doing well at all. I suspect it’s boxwood blight. Would you do a video on that please. Some of the plants ( 80) have leaves are very black spotty and a few are loosing leaves. Most of them were yellowish which I thought was lacking in nutrition. I’ve had them a few months now.
What is it that you are using as an edging material? We have a long gravel drive with beds on either side and I’m looking for a cost effective edging material.
☺️☺️☺️🌹
Лайк!)
Hm, try to find Libertia Grandiflora in Sweden… 😕
Maybe a hare ate the aster that’s what happens to mine
I don’t think it’s a secret anymore 🤓
Yikes ..how can you touch nettles??? I welt up 😥..dreaded stuff
If you grip a leaf or the stem firmly with your fingertips, it doesn't hurt, like it does when you brush against it. But he's probably just used to them. 😄 Also some nettles are definitely angrier than others!
@@OliverJazzz I’m not going to experiment..lol..thanks for replying, love watching John, I learn a lot 🇨🇦
1.21 It's pronounced geegas, γιγας in greek meaning giant.
Anyone have a suggestion for a shady spot on heavy clay? Ive tried all sorts and they all die :/
