gigaganon because the original have a lot of sin wave-like smooth tone color, while the rebirth ones are more metalic. This remix is quite smooth and have similar tone quality with the original BGM, that's probably why you felt that way :D
Why does the old UI look more in-style than the one we got? Especially the intros to the areas. The flies on strings move like they're actually on string!

He can do as he pleases, hes the creator (McMillen and James Id) they said from the very start it was a Puzzled RPG, and their intentions...none of this is new or surprising, either get it or...dont lol its as simple as that.
