We go over the tools used in each video, normally a t25, t27 torx driver, and a couple allen tools
Soundstream Reserve and Hertz speakers? Anyone like this combo on your bike? I have a 2021 Electra Gllide.
We do this install a lot using the sx165neo hertz speakers and it sounds great!
I have a 22 egs. I have yet to open the fairing. But the spot where the speakers go on the side facing you. Is that a blank that can be taken out or do I have to buy that whole fairing?
There are grills installed factory but no speakers behind them, no need to change the fairing
Hello. Did you ever get the thumb controls to work? My local Harley dealer says the thumb controls have to be flashed to the bike.
Yes we did, no flash needed
I have the scosche lphd15 for MY 2018 Road Glide Special. Is this the correct one for it? Also I have everything connected right and I can’t get the clutch side to go to next song ect when sliding to right but left I can go back. I have a sony 7000 installed, just curious is why it would do this also sometimes it does go to next song.
Make sure it is plugged all the way into the radio, I also highly recommend the Soundstream hdhu14+ or si over the Sony

I'm installing your HDHU14+ kit on my Electra glide standard...... if I don't have thumb control switches yet, can I add them later or will using the bike with out them mess that up for later? Will it need to be "flashed" or programed later?
No need to flash later, yes you can use the radio with out switches installed
Any know the screw size that holds the speakers to the pods my bike didn't come with screws

Do you have to change the controls to work or old one will work mined worked for a sec and I'm getting nothing now
If you want controls to work you must have the correct ones. If you lost any other function it will be unrelated to the radio, do keep in mind the factory radios do not have volume buttons on the radio so controls are required
I just did the install of the sound stream reserve for my electraglide standard with the thumb control module. What do I need to do to get the thumb controls installed? Which thumb controls do I need to purchase from my dealer. When I called tech support they couldn’t give me a part number but said the lighted ones would not work..
Correct we do not have the part number, or for a Streetglide your same year and do not purchase lighted controls

I bought a used 2019 Electra glide - it already had the Sony 7000 installed but not the hand controls so we bought the lighted hand controls and the axxess interface but the controls are not working, any type of trouble shooting we can do to find out if it is the hand controls or the interface module - thanks
The axxess controls are garbage and never program correctly, I would suggest the scosche module

hey there i have done the same installation & kits but my left controller (new harley lighted) does not work either ? i can put the old controller on and it works ? any suggestions ?
It seems like a defective controller or one for the wrong year, 21-up are not the same as 14-20
@@volunteeraudio i belive i have the correct part#71500561 which shows correct , i believe its bad but the they say it good trying to say the white/red wire is not reading ?

Back to the dealer and got another, we have not got the lighted controls to work on 21-up models

Did you ever get the left hand control to work? Got the kit installed, right control radio controls do not work and the left hand control does not work at all.
Yes, got to get the correct controls, if you have factory traction control or cruise, you must get controls with the same factory features
I have the 21 Electra Glide Standard as in this video, I went with the lighted hand controls with cruise control and no traction control, but no luck.
Did it end up being that the lighted controls do not work?
@@Wally017 correct the controls that worked were not lighted, but we found out these features must match up or the controls will not work

If I was on a budget could I not do the hand controls and just do touch screen till I can afford them
The radio works without the hand controls added.
Ran into problem put lighted switches on left side doesn’t work at all re installed stock and it works fixes checked nothing. Right side works just fine swapped the left side and stock works but lighted doesn’t no buttons work

2021 Electra glide standard bought used one and it didn’t work bought a new one didn’t work now they want 160 for diagnostic 1 hour
