I have a 2012 Street Glide with the Metra inner fairing that allows for the big touchscreen which I’m running the Sony XAV-AX7000 . Is there a kit that allows me to install this unit into my bike?
Was there a protective film on yours out of the box? I had a piece of tape in the top left corner that wasn't attached to anything. It has scratches across the entire front of the screen.

I am about to order one of these in the next couple weeks, but I'm not sure what you mean by the Sony will take much longer to install, I have the Sony ax7000, I purchased the kit from Fathead Cycles, it was plug and play and literally took me 30 minutes to install in my 2016 SGS...
This radio doesn’t need a kit and you won’t need to wire a harness. If you buy it from a site that will pre-wires and programs the handle bar buttons it that will save you time. But in most cases if you need to wire a harness program a handle bar button module and build a kit this radio will save time because it’s the same configuration as a stock Harley radio

They put this in my motorcycle Soundstream Reserve HDHU.14Si but am having an issue with it when I take to the shop for some reason the antenna will pick up want to take it away from the shop the antenna will not pickup any FM or AM stereo the radios only about 2 weeks old so don't understand what's happening have you heard of this at all

I'm very disappointed in the fact that this radio (and other plug n' play Harley solutions) does not include the built in intercom, nor does it support headset profile. I'd upgrade to it if it weren't for that.
I se my question was answered intercom I got the cb just for that purpose. I would get it if not for that

I have this thing on a 17 RG. Waited forever for it. It makes my Rockford Fosgate system sound terrible! And it’s stuck in dark mode so I can barley see the screen. Total POS. Factory deck is MUCH better!
Well Rockford fosgate systems sound like trash regardless of what headunit you use. And as far as the dark mode, literally just go adjust the display in settings.
I installed this unit today along with Neo 165 speakers and I do not get the same sound loudness as my 17 RGS factory HU and speakers. I tried adjusting the EQ and the sound is just not there. Both buttons control the volume and I can’t scroll for some reason. Any help would be appreciated.

I have the Sony in my street glide it is garbage. Not weather proof at all
BOOOOOOO!!! Doesn't work with older than 2014 bikes, which have the NOTORIOUS Harmen Kardon cold-solder problem. Radio manufactureres are missing out on all those replacements.
Any single DIN head unit can be made to work.
