Just installed mine today Jay. Your video was spot on (of course), easy peazy. Can't wait to go out on the road to really try it out and configure it. Btw, 30 minutes, and done!!

At 14:45 in the video, there is a reference to plugging in an amp turn on wire to the MRR2. I have a 2020 Road Glide And the radio install video for road glides does not mention installing with an amp. Is it better to plug-in the amplifier turn on wire to the MRR2 or should I use the factory connection in the upper right side of my faring? Thanks for all you do!
So when I choose headset list, the screen goes black and it restarts. Firmware update or something I should know about? I’d like to be able to use my headset while riding, kind of why I bought it, lol.
I had the Sony XAV-AX7000 with no amp. I just replaced it with the V2 and the Hertz amp and I cannot believe how loud this thing is compared to when it didn't have an amp. The AX7000 was already known as being a powerful unit, but it just doesn't compare to the sound quality and the fullness of having an amp. Another positive is that the V2 is much faster and much more reactive than the Sony. Only time will tell how good the unit is. I live in west Texas so it is going to see some very hot and dry weather as well as cold wet climates. My hope is that it doesn't shut off randomly like my Sony did if it was super damp or I had been in rain for a while.
I have a question I don’t believe you have addressed before. Today I checked my bike for diagnostic codes using the trip meter button. No codes, but one of the components it checks is the Radio. So my question is Will the V2 cause a code to appear for the radio?
@@OMG_Clowns you have left a factory connector unplugged, or left a needed module out, on 2020 models there is a telematics module that must remain plugged in
Got mine installed yesterday. Trying to figure out why mine will work fine sometimes, and get no connectivity others. By no connectivity, I mean gauges don't work, nor do any hand controls. It almost seems random, but it's like the Maestro goes into deep sleep, and requires waking up with a cycling of the ignition, then it works the second time. That being said, I forgot how many things annoyed me about my 14Si unit i previously owned. I really hoped this unit would be the magic bullet, cure all, and for almost $1,900, it should have been. It's not. The Maestro unit need more flexibility. The fact that i can't program a home button or a track forward or back button is ridiculous. The fact that scrolling through sources includes stuff like connected device list, headset selection, settings, camera, rally mode, etc is also stupid. While this radio has it's upsides, I'm having major buyers remorse one day into owning it, after having waited 5 months. I sincerely hope these kinks get worked out, but if the 14Si is any indication, I'm not exactly holding my breath. It really is a shame to see so much potential wasted on poor software design.
Well for one, you can program it…if your have the MRR2 its via Bluetooth and the MRR is via a usb and computer. Did you plug your Meastro harness directly into the radio and then add any addition amp harnessing or the factory harness after it? I did and have no issues with mine, but I did have to go back and watch the original install video for the V2 to figure out in what order Jay plugged them in because I also had an amp harness. I would check both of those!
@@SharpShooter9867 yes, I flashed my MRR2 via Bluetooth. I'm quite familiar with the process. I pulled my main fuse when installing the radio, as I do when dealing with anything electrical, so there shouldn't have any issue there. I programmed the buttons to do what I prefer, and that programming has held just fine. But there are definitely limitations to what you can assign. For some reason, seek now works for skipping tracks in Android Auto, but it didn't yesterday. Can't figure that one out. The limitations are more of an annoyance on an expensive radio, but I can deal with it for the most part. The Maestro randomly deciding if it wants to work is infuriating though, and absolutely should not be happening. This kind of stuff is the reason that a lot of people use Apple products. They just work together. No screwing around, troubleshooting stuff on stupid expensive equipment.
