You don’t have to tell me😢 I already know

That's something that I've noticed as I've gotten better and better at photography. Good photographers (or photo editors) can turn pretty bad or mediocre photos into pretty nice photos with a few tricks!
Please tell me there's going to be a montage clip of you and Kirk running at each other in slow motion to give each-other a hug like you did with Casey 🤣
Would be amazing 🤣
I come back to watch Pete after several weeks, sometimes even months… this guys never fails to deliver a good video 🙂🙄….how???
same here!! I think he is just super passionate about what he does so he holds himself to a high standard :)
Same here. Back after a year. But Kirk come back
that eagle legit looks like it was cut out and slapped on that photo lol
Peter! you, kirk and the rest of the team are doing a fantastic job. even on the heaviest days, you always make me smile. keep up your amazing work!
My life is rocky now and my brain dont work... will pull a blanket over my head and crawl into bed with the laptop and watch 2 of my favorite vids The Lost Channel and THE GIFT OF PHOTOGRAPHY.
with best regards from Zacharias in Sweden
Pet😂
@@karantandon6755 ye sorry😅😅
the only thing I hate in photography is when people lie about their own work and try to pass of composites as real, single shot photos

When I’m working with clients I always tell them not all of them will be bangers, and the aim of the entire session is to get ONE decent photo. We usually find more, but honestly only one is shared anyway. 1/300 pictures is edited and shared usually.
I remember watching Pete, maybe 6-7 Years ago with less than a 100k Subs or around that line and thinking how the hell does he NOT have more, this page peaked my interest in Photography and I tried it out but with like a lot of people I put it down because it was a very time and money consuming hobby and because of other stuff in life. but now that I decided to pick up a camera again, I come back to Petes teaching to get more inspiration like before. very happy of what and how big he became!
What a sick edit! Can't deny it certainly takes creativity to save "bad" photos. Great insight, Pete!
The mountain/desert call back will never get old
Pete! Welcome back! Hope you enjoyed your vacation.
So good to have you.using your skills to help us develop ours. Thank you.
He does it in such an easy to understand way aswell 😀
I absolutely love what you've done with the photo. It's almost like you purposely shot just any eagle to create this magical scene . Thank you .
I love it...."you shouldn't try to rescue a photo that can't be rescued". brilliant....You could have seen a light bulb go off above my head.....Great video Peter...
Another amazing video. Love the work that goes into the craft. Thanks for the behind the scenes on an incredible capture! And yes, MORE Kirk on the channel pls 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I take tons of bad photos, but it's all worth it when you get that one GOOD SHOT
The amount of times I load up 3000+ photos from a day of shooting and use 2 of them 😂
@@KrisLuckPhoto lol I can relate...
Welcome back Pete, great video as always. I learned Premiere for my videos and I can’t imagine switching and going through a learning curve again. Maybe in the future, if get bored 😂😂😂
I switched to davinci a few months back because its free. The only learning is colour grading is more indepth everything else is very straight forward. It will also ask you what programs you used to use and make it look similar to that so mine looks like premiere except for the colour grading.
That ending. Comedy gold. Welcome back PM 👌
Great video as always! The end hit me right in the feels
Awesome tips Peter, love the final masterpiece 😮
Nice one, and yes more captain also it was great to watch that episode.
Why? My own frustrations switching to resolve was reflected. Awesome.
You both enrich my day, and I have learned a lot in one of my top interests.
Thank you
Another great video Pete.
Love the video Pete! Glad to see you back! Also liking that new trucker hat!
Killer ! Love the little sprinkles of humour and all!
Great video as usual, and thats a really nice jacket!!
Welcome back, Peter!
Post production has helped me save so many concert photos. The light conditions are a nightmare during those, so I really like to experiment after the fact.
Damn i am yeah. Hi Peter i have been your fan for 5 years now ypu are the reason i started doing photography its amazing seeing you grow
great skills in making this image really stand out !!!
The mountain in the desert line 😂 OG will remember that
Thanks for the video Pete
I’m not too sure should I laugh or cry at the ending 😂😢. You guys are phenomenal team. Best ever!
Signed up with Motion Array - thanks for the tip and discount! I'm also located in the GTA and have been watching your channel for over a year now. Love all of your content and energy!
I will never stop laughing for Peter feeling ashamed for the montain behind the desert😂
The mountain in the desert gets me everytime when you mention it 😂😂
First video i was able to catch right when you posted it, just binged all of your vlogs in 4 nights👍👍
Damn, lil bro relax
You’re a wizard Harry! 🪄
Good stuff bro! Cheers!
You had me at Luminar Neo Supersharp. You should have finished the image off in Neo. Great video, thanks for sharing.
This is amazing
I liked Kirks video a lot, but i'm still glad that you're back! I hope you had a great holiday 🙌
Thank you! I did! I have a better appreciation for taking a break. Never been the best at it.
I feel like we’ve got the old Pete back!!! 🥳🔥🔥🔥🔥
Love the video!!!!
Love your work though always bring my mood up
Interesting! Thanks for sharing it. ✌️
I didn’t know you shoot film. That’s awesome!
Pete! Welcome back:)
Boy, you better keep that 'stache growin'! Lookin' good!
Great video, learned a bit from this one!
Man I love this guy is what I say every time I watch your videos ! :D
You got the video done! I was expecting to see the beach shot!
Haha I love how one of Pete’s ‘bad’ photos is quite a lot better than most of good ones 😂. Enjoyed this though! 📸
Love your content!
Yeah! Pete is back! Awesome! Great tips, thanks! Though don't you feel that this eagle looks a little bit like a composite or something? It kinda looks like it was edited into the photo. Maybe eagle;s colours don't match perfectly. I am not sure what it is.
Awesome video! All the best!
Peter is there a new Bromance brewing right before our eyes? Glad to see you back!
That was a fantastic ending!
Your work is a piece of Art......everything you did is Cinematic ❤
Amazing 😊
Love you peter and your work ❤️
If you don't put that video of the eagle flying, I would definitely think that is photoshopped 😂😂
Lots of Lovee❤❤
Oh hey...Pete's back that's great, fantastic. (looks longingly out window and whispers "I miss The Captain")
love ur vids bro
Wow I will now rescue some of my photos nice one 😁 Kirk needs more appearances 👊🏼
Thank you for this video am inspired to get back to photography. When you touched the cap I thought your going to bring back the cap to lens outro.😉
I seriously was just talking bad about Pete that he was away from doing helper vids and onto fun vids forgetting his roots. Ok, scratch that old thought. “REDEEMED” Banger photos baby!
Hahahahaa, you made my day Pete, sometimes photo is just bad and you move on, this is better than mountain in the desert hahahahaha.
Great video as always peter,as a newbie in photography, you are my inspiration.
Not going to lie I was almost very excited to see Kirk again but was happy to see the guy Pete back 💪🏽
I think the dedication of Kirk Sharpie(-ing) his hands to cosplay as you cosplaying someone else (I think that's what it was) is worthy of another set of videos with Capt'n Kirk.
So emotional at the end😮😂
Meditation for the dayyyy
I take one look at my photos and know I’m shit. Still gonna watch this video
You really cant let go of that “Mountain behind the Desert” 😅
Technology is great when used right. It is just a tool we can use if we mess things up. Its amazing how far things have come!
I find as creatives, we can be our own worst critics and often get outright hostile if someone gives us negative feedback. But that's how we learn and get better, take the feedback, learn to honestly look at your own work and then just keep going and working on your own skills. I totally agree, art is subjective and not everyone likes out work.
true that
Oh boy that’s the story of my life 😂 good to know I’m not the only one, be safe out there and stay awesome
Hey Peter, welcome back, we missed you! Is that a Howard stache you’re sporting now?!😂😂😂
LOL at mountain in the desert edit. We will never forget that one
Lol. Loved the ending.
I thought Pete & Matti was the UA-cam team up I was always waiting to see happen. Who would have known it was Pete and Kirk all along? Lol.
That monitor on the right shaking with every single one of Pete's overly expressive gestures 😂
Nice and short 😊
only complaint about this video is the motor shaking in the right at the begining! loved it other than that
The mountain in the background of the desert call back😂
Curious on your thoughts Pete. I love this information and how amazing Luminar island what it can do. Do you feel that by integrating Luminar AI in your workflow that it will start to deteriorate that way one shoots? Thinking some people might use it as a crutch vs just trying to get good imagery right out of camera. Worth discussing
welcome back
The crying at the end actually had me laughing😂😂
Love how you keep bringing back mountain in dessert you made few years ago. Love how you joke on your own account.
I now find myself digging in old photos that I thought were nothing…in hopes of turning them into something.
Need that camo hat👀
Kirk rocks, I had so much fun watching him be you.
So when can I get my hands on the new hat Pete?! The black worn one is great but I have a big head so it doesn't quite sit right. but this blackout camo looks bigger and i am a SUPER GEEK for black camo.
Just misses kirk so hard. Lol 😢 I agree with you, getting a shot as close to the way you want with minimal editing. That's what you want....thsts what we all want. Great little vid as always pete
Hey peter thanks
Sweet 🔥
Imagine taking hundreds of photos and not being able to throw any of them away because you might be able to "save it" with photoshop. What a nightmare.
Yes and no? It is a great a skill to have to be able to save a photo like that. But it is even better if one can shoot photos in the “right way” so to save time on editing or saving the photo.
With that being said, life is not perfect and things do happen. Being able to edit and be creative is also a must have. Understand, practice, and apply skills in different niches of photography is something that every photographer can work on. The same goes on with post production.
I agree with you 100% but I don't know how I feel about him adding images that were not caught in the moment. I can see why certain things are required for different situations so maybe this would be a necessary strategy in a do-or-die moment@@gundamaction1201
❤❤ this is wow 👌
Great content as always! Speaking of AI, I think this is where I've meant to get professionals' opinions. Obviously AI models have to be trained on data. The bigger the model, the more data it has to see and get better. Now, these photos have to come from somewhere. And back in the days of open source research, we could build datasets from photos all over the internet and train models on them with the knowledge that as university and/or industrial research labs, we open sourced the models. Recently though, companies (looking at you OpenAI or should I say, ClosedAI..anyone? No? ok) are no longer releasing their models or data they train these models on or even model architecture. They commercialize the models they train, but don't compensate the people whose photos they scrape to create their training datasets. These models are so big so they require an immeasurable amount of organic data to learn how to do things that look organic, and that data has to be come from somewhere. If you've got some sort of photo, licensed or not online, it likely exists in someone's training dataset. You can easily find recent models that "create" photos that, funny enough, have artifacts that look like watermarks in them. The model sees so many photos with watermarks, that it starts to think watermarks are organic to some types of photos. As a hobbyist, I mostly don't mind taking my photos, but for a professional, what do you think about your work being used as training data for these models to learn from? How about being compensated for it?
Thank you
Anyone understand how Pete is so good at talking to a camera?
Lots of practice.
@@chadolson5537 I can’t think of any other creator where it literally feels like they are talking face to face with me… TALENT.
Some people were just made to be in front of a camera... Peter is one of them. It's innate.

I changed my name but I'm still here. Thanks for another great video!! You should go live and let's us rock out with you while you're editing one day!!
