Couldn’t imagine a better new home for the Trans Am! Thanks again for stopping by the garage Pete!
Buy the Chevy!
Buy the c10
Agree 100% with Gabriel. Very recently I've been branching out more, talking to other creators and that is the best part of photography and social media. It's not just about taking cool photos, it's about taking cool photos with other cool people.
Sums it up!!
what he said!
If my mother moves out then I’ll be a convert
@@PeterMcKinnon I hope that stuff coming out the tail pipe is just condensation that has collected from not being driven much that is boiling off.
@@bluejay3945 Serve her an eviction notice. It makes Thanksgiving and family reunions much more pleasant.
This is 100% the route I took in my creative career! Started a UA-cam channel making short documentaries on owners and their cars. Within 6 months got a full time job making documentaries for a local collector car consignment company and still working with the same company three years later as their Creative Director. Over those three years I not only shot some of the cars I could only dream of being in close proximity to as a kid but also get to drive them. Dream job 🙏🏼
Yes! I am proof of this subject. I am a motorcycle enthusiast, I also love photography. I walked into my local Harley-Davidson/Motorsports dealership and said I will do whatever it takes to get my foot in the door. I told them I can take photos for the website. That was 10 years ago! I am now the marketing manager at the dealerships and have been invited as a photographer to multiple bike shows around the country and have been published 5 times making the cover 4 of those! I have grown as a photographer and videographer with this amazing channel. I have learned so much from you my friend! Thank you for all you do!
I love seeing cars on the channel! Congrats man!
One Peter McKinnon video is enough for me to re-ignite my passion for photography!
He was who I watched when I first started shooting. I seemingly stopped shooting when I wasn’t watching anymore. Started watching again, so I picked up a camera again lol
Very correct. His videos have this unexplainable effect of reigniting your drive to go out and shoot something.
Photo and video made it possible for me to fulfill my dream of building a log cabin, meet hero’s, and do things I would never been able to afford. You’re speaking truth my friend.
at 52, just bought my first mirrorless camera. My passion for music gear, hiking and wildlife is ready to level up! Thank you for the inspiration.
Me sitting in my office being a full time photographer while watching this. Once I got into photography I combined it with my other hobby, cars. And now i am a full time automotive photographer. It quite literally works just like you explained it in the video. Manifestation is also key 🤙🏻
Pay u good?
Started photography in 2018, bought a drone in 2020 to take my photography to the next level. Now in 2023 i switched careers to be a professional drone pilot in industrial industry. There is definitely truth in photography opening doors
This is exactly what I did! Thanks to photography, I am now a full time watch photographer! I have learnt everything on YT and like 90% on your Chanel so thanks for that 🙏
Just follow your passion. Photography got me in a helicopter to photograph a cross country ski race in the French alps and I’m not even a professional. I was just volunteering at the event to take photos because I want to practice. The organization gave me media bib. I start walking around and take photos. Then a ski patroller i know told me to get on the back of his snow mobile. Flying around the course trying to take photos and not fall off. Then the event director saw me (with official media bib) and said quick run to the helicopter!! I was like ahh I’m just a beginner but then say”fake it till you make it!!” So I got to the chopper and started to fire off photos like Arnie in predictor. I had no idea what I was doing. But photography got me there. Love your work Pete.
love it :) I haven't even really started if I try to pursue it but this sounds cool
Leaving for Peru on Wednesday. Photography has taken me to 5 of the 7 continents in the past 6 months.
I’ve been so fortunate to see animals and people around the world, and it’s all thanks to photography.
When he said the car is yours I genuinely couldn't stop smiling. Huge congrats. What a great video !!!!
This video resonates with me more than any other over the last 3 years. I started a golf brand 10 years ago. My photography is the only reason it got off the ground, and the primary reason it's still around over a decade later.
Pete vlogs are undefeated
1st PK video I’ve watched in about a year (and I’ve been watching since 2017). Good stuff Pete!
congratulations on the new ride bro, again., your literally my biggest inspiration bro , my whole vlogging style . thank you for being you , please never stop
So true! I started getting into photographing my culture here in NZ and now I get sent all over the country photographing our people.
I had a freakin' smile on my face the entire video. Congrats on your new TransAm!!
Peter getting that Transam, felt so good!!!! I love the emotion you create through your storytelling. Pete you began my passion for photography and cinematography and 7 years later our business is all about that, thank you
You deserved it Peter! You're the positive force that we all need, i got back into photography because of you... You're like Tony Robbins of photography 😄 you are always hyping me when i don't feel like creating, wish you all the best in life!
No one tells stories like Pete. If you see this Mr McKinnon, you’re the best man🙏
Duuuuuuuuuuuuude, Pete! I got SERIOUSLY Hyped when you guys shook hands for that deal. Such a sick car.
Sick Pete, congrats on the new car. Photography has created so many opportunities for me to shoot college sports and create an impact on athletes across the globe. Thank you for all you do in the photo realm. I’m a big fan of your work and look forward what you continue to achieve in the future 👊🏻
I’ve watched your videos for couple of years now, and you never fail to disappoint. I got back into photography because of people like you I’ve watched online and even though it’s not all sunshine and rainbows all the time, it pays off every once in awhile. So thank you constantly all the way from Singapore🙌🏾
I know this wasn't your intention, but saying "you never fail to disappoint" is a double negative, so you technically wrote that he always disappoints. Not to be pedantic, i just found it kind of funny.
@@gclip9883my bad, I didn’t mean it in that way😅 let’s just put it as he is amazing that’s it👍🏾
My ex-wife says I never fail to disappoint as well!
@@gclip9883 So he should say, "you never fail to appoint"?
Just messing with you.
Agreed. He never fails to disappoint. How such a mediocre vlogger is such a popular 'photographer' is beyond my grasp.
Nice! Owning a Firebird is a dream of mine. My step dad had a red one and one of my favorite movies as a kid was Smokey & the Bandit (the black Firebird in that is my all time favorite movie car). Congrats on the new ride! So dope.
6:54, the trans-am, those headlights, the windshield covered in drizzle; what an absolute beauty.
As a hobbyist photographer, I now want to quit my corporate job to pursue my dream of photography. I love your videos and always learn so much from you. Congrats on the amazing new ride!
Go ahead bro ❤❤
Wow .... everytime I play one of your video, you take me to a different level of inspiration man! Enjoy your new ride Peter!
I am from France, and it is my favorite car, and I cannot find one in a good shape here ! I am so happy for you ! Enjoy it!
Oh man! I literally got goose bumps when Ron said "its yours". Awesome man!
Photography literally has gotten me to where I am now and even through some dark times. It's amazing!
It’s not photography that gets you. Everything Pete…. What you’re trying to say is PASSION !
Because the same thing applies across all industries
i've been following you Pete for years and years at this point, and you helped me for the most part become a fulltime pro photographer and filmmaker. Funny thing the other day I had a wedding near Venice and met a Canadian dude with my origins. Funny thing he comes from your exact town, and knows who you are! Amazing. And what you said is completely true
Toys are my favorite subject matter to photograph, and I'm a toy collector. Now I get toys sent to me to photograph for fun. Passion meets dreams. Great video, Pete!
Yoooooo, my man’s on the Pentax 67 wave now yessss. I started shooting on one just over a year ago and it’s so therapeutic. The few frames makes me really slow down and think about how I wanna take a shot. And that shutter& mirror slap combo is like the best sound I’ve ever heard.❤
It sounds ABSURD. So satisfying
Great vid Pete, Just the perfect PM vid
Dope video Pete! I feel the exact same way! Photography has taken me on so many adventures and continues to do so every day.😍
Yup, this is it right here. You just put words to everything I’ve been doing for the past 10 years, my professional career. In a way, you just validated it as well. Thanks Pete! You’re the man.
You are amazing bro, you are the reason why am now fully into photography. Years ago if you call yourself a photographer in Nigeria people look at you as a jobless poor man, but today all eyes is on us. Thanks bro.
this is clutch. This is exactly what I was telling a friend, the other day, that this can lead to many other avenues. 🔥🔥
Spot on, Pete! I have been able to turn my passion for photography and golf into a business photographing some of the most epic golf courses, your message resonates perfectly. Cheers.
Siiiiiick! Well done!!
@@PeterMcKinnon thanks man! Congrats on the new ride 🔥
5 years I’ve been grinding hard at the music industry. Everywhere and anywhere I can be and after 5 years I’m still not getting there. I try to focus on the small wins but the small wins don’t come very much at all. I love this video because that’s what I’ve been doing. Sacrificing everything to make a go of the music….that’s my passion. I’m a musician and I see it from a different idea of what I would wanna look like. Damn I wish something would give.
Keep grinding man….the music industry is a POS but amazing place….I was a professional musician for 13 years in 2 different world wide signed bands….you’d wish it just took talent and dedication but it takes ALOT of luck….
What Peter says in this video is very very true. I am very interested in photography and also gaming. Started using photomodes in games, and that landed me great relations with several companies within gaming!
Omg! The 1979 Trans Am is also my dream car because it’s also my birth year! Thanks for the video! As a passionate photographer myself I appreciate the insight!
I stayed in Hamilton with family when I was 6, I’m 40 now, one of my only real memories of going in to Toronto from Hamilton is seeing a gold Trans Am with one of those very 80’s foldable plastic sun visors in the front windshield.
SO Inspiring!! Congrats on the new car!! ❤️
You are very inspirational. I love Camera's and 79 Trans Am's. I re-did my brother's 79 T/A solar gold t-top car and have owned many of them. I know how you feel they are great drivers. Keep up the good work !
SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!
Congrats on the new wheels bro! ❤
Peter, I just got into UFC 293 via my photography. I just sent a DM to one of the fighters offering to shoot him before the fight(I don’t even have a big social media presence) and I proved myself over the week and ended up going to the main event in 2000$ seats. I think the lesson in this video is one of the most valuables that you have created
That Pentax is such a gorgeous platform to adapt lenses onto. Most people stick with the handful of OEM lenses, but there is a world of possibility for someone who likes a bit of DIY!
Can you further explain on that, or link ressources. I’m keen to explore things deeper with my Pentax 67 system.
Aaaahh yes yes yes, i knew it. Congrats Pete 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Howard though will crying his heart out 🥹
This one hits, Gabriel's comment resonates big time, as well as the point you make about marrying two passions together. Marrying photography and leathercraft is at the foundation how our brand was born. 🙌
Thanks Pete again for the inspiration. My passion for automotive is the reason i ever started taking pictures in the first place and trying to practice my photography skills I've been struggling with inspiration and instead i should go back to my roots and keep shooting cars
Been filming automotive content for close to 10 years now and I love every minute of it
Every single time I question my photography lifestyle as a professional. You always come through, this episode was amazing.
You definitely explain how to consistently make your photography a valuable business.
This episode is a future classic PM episode.
Thank you,
Kevin A. Richards Photography, LLC
Please pause at 7:37 everyone for a moment ! Pete, you sooooo much deserve this !!! Have fun ....
Oh man!! Dude when you started saying something has to go I was literally sitting in my office with my fingers crossed and eyes shut repeating please don’t be the Ford don’t be the Ford don’t be the Ford. I actually ‘muffle yelled’ yes as soon as I heard Chevy.
Congrats on the new beauty man and please don’t EVER get rid of Walt.
Keep up the awesome vids… you’ve been an inspiration longer than you realize.
Congrats On The New Ride Pete 👏🏽🔥
When you try to live out of your craft, you may have to work on projects that don't get you much excited. I recently left my previous career to go all-in in photography/videography. I look forward to having an identity as an artist, but I guess you have to try different things first. This is the way I go, I try only the things that I'm personally excited about and that's a conscious choice, so the timing of the video was great.
You're a big part of this Pete, thanks!
I know I am late to the party here, but rather late than never, right?
Pete, thank you for this video! You may have meant for it to be a fun, energizing Pete video but its what a lot of us secretly need... a video to reignite a passion that we have snuffed out for one reason or another! So thank you! I'm excited to pick up my camera again, film, edit, post and just have fun!
This is unequivocally the best video you have ever made. I preach this ALLLLL the time. THANK YOU. I would be nowhere if it wasn't for your inspo.
For me, the thing I love like taking photos of is life around me. I’m working creating photos of ordinary objects. It helps me slow down to think of different angles of objects that you’ve seen before. I just love life, and little moments. If I can live off of my work, and my work of taking photos of life around me - I would.
Make 7:37 the Thumbnail... looks really cool!
Wow I got chills! Such a cool clip and my dream car. Way to go pete!
Ahh love you, Peter. Truly amazing content can only come from truly amazing people.
Man, I sold my cameras last year as my mural business took off and I've missed them ever since! This video was meant for me. Showing my lady later!
Thanks for this PETE! This was a dope video.
I've slowly been realizing this, I can have other hobbies and passions and incorporate photography/videography into it. It's been a freeing realization that I can be all in with this, but it doesn't have to be limiting.
That shot of Pete with the Trans Am looked so naturally late 70s/early 80s...such a perfect fit.
Thanks Pete! Learned a ton from yours and matti's early vids and now it's a full time gig on Instagram. Appreciate all that you do!
Thank you Pete, I needed this more than anything.
The most realistic piece of advice about passion and dreams.
YES! Niche down + combine your passions and learn the basics about marketing & sales and you'll be going places 🙏
Dude! I've loved your channel forever and now I feel like you're my long lost brother. I own a '78 Trans Am! Black, gold bird (no T-top though)!
Awesome!! I've always wanted a 77 (birthyear) T/A!!
Man this is a beautiful video. Dads reason for selling to Pete was really heartfelt you can tell he put a lot of thought into his decision.
I have been asking this question to a number photographers saying what your Hobbby man ? they simply say photography , but maan if photography is the only hobby you have then you are missing alllot since you don't
have a second hobby to be fueled by photography . Pete you earned it ... Bravo
Oh my God! That car is one of my dream cars. Great taste Pete. Like we would expect any different. 👍🏻
Awesome message and video! Really enjoyed this one! Not one mention of gear....purely focused on what matters....the passion! Love it!
When the season changes, it is always great to see Peter landscape.
That trans am is beautiful. My grandma had one before she passed and I loved riding in it!
I really love watching these vids. Whenever Pete feels good... I feel good. As if I just bought that trans am firebird!!! I love it!!!
Congratulations pete, very happy for your success and that car is a beasttt🔥🔥🔥
Such a blast watching you have fun and enjoy yourself. So happy to hear your career, passions and purpose are all in alignment.
It all tracks back to the first time I watched The Bucket Shot for me. Thank you Pete!
I needed this reminder! The timing of this video is serendipitous. You are my inspiration and mentor. Thank you!
❤❤❤ the Trans-am is the first car I fell in love with. The first Christmas gift that i actually remember was a Smokey and the Bandit set with the truck and the car.
Great video Peter.i love the Trans am. One of my favorite cars.
Another one……great vid…..great inspiration! Just greatness!
That Trans Am is sick, dude. I was born in 76, and it reminds me of watching American TV shows as a kid. 😍
It's true. Some things gotta go, for some of us, things we once really loved and cared for. And it's getting me where I want. Thanks Peter.
The medium format dream is developing nicely 🔥
Most on brand car I could ever imagine for Peter! Congrats dude!
I went into this video psyched to see Pete post again, I left feeling yet again inspired and desperate to go out and photograph everything I love
I'll try and come to Canada. And i just wanna show you my progress. I'm starting late. But I'm going out pete. Love you from the bottom of my heart ❤
Cheers😊
❤❤❤ awesome wheels Peter❤❤❤❤ I am proud of you for going for that car, it was obvious hoe much you loved the TransAm. I have a love for a Stringray Corvette, it was the first sports car that I saw as a kid❤❤ and how cool is the cassette player❤❤❤ hope you crank the music up as you cruise down the main street!
Totally loved the video and it so cool that Ron knew if anyone walked into his garage and picked that particular car out then he knew that they would truly love it the way he does. Congrats Pete and can’t wait to see that bitchen ride on the channel some more. Also love the story about photography because it is so true that it can open so many new friendships and adventures for you.
I like the positivity vibe in this channel👍 subbed!
