Crispy Cheese Chicken Quesadilla :: Tortilla Recipe

  • Опубліковано 6 лип 2021
  • *** Please refer to the TIP at the bottom of the expected questions.
A combination of spicy Mexican-style chicken and chewy mozzarella cheese.
I made a really crispy and delicious quesadilla.
It is made with ingredients commonly used in Korea.
I wrote down the alternative ingredients, so try making them with easily available ingredients.
*** Weighing is scale (g), rice spoon (tbsp), and teaspoon (tsp).
    [10 pieces]
    ✤ Ingredients
    - 8inch(20cm) 5 tortillas
    - Chicken Filling (see below)
    - Flour paste (see below)
    - Mozzarella cheese
    ✤ Chicken Filling
    - 112g, 1 Chicken breast
    - 16g(1tbsp) Minced garlic
    - 35g(2tbsp) Chopped onion
    - 35g(2tbsp) Chopped green pepper
    - 30g Chopped jalapeno
    - 4g(0.5tbsp) Curry powder (Mexican seasoning)
    - 1g(1tsp) Chili powder (can be omitted)
    - 60g (3tbsp) Tomato pasta sauce (can be substituted with salsa sauce)
    ✤ Flour Paste
    - 1tbsp Plain flour
    - 3tbsp Water
✤ Served with dipping sauce (optional)
    - Sour cream
    ✤ TIP
    - It is okay to use potatoes instead of chicken breast. (Recipe same)
    - I added jalapeño, but it is not very spicy because of the cheese.
    - Fill only 50% when filling. That way it doesn't burst and has a nice shape.

Its shape is Indian food samosa, ingredients are Mexican quesadillas,
and what should the name of this food be? Samodilla? Quesamosa? Haha. 😆
Of course, this food is fusion.

I was able to cook this! I fried fresh jalapeños with the onions and I kinda wish I used a little less cheese. It was a bit hard to seal them but I found it was a bit easier to just hold it shut for a few seconds
Over all it was VERY filling. I could only eat 3 while my bf ate 5. I only used 1 chicken breast and eye balled everything else while doubling the sauce. I think next time I will triple it.

No es la tradicional, de echo en México esta la quesadilla norteña y del centro, pero se ve tan deliciosa, la voy a hacer. Lo que tu hiciste, es como una empanada, pero se ve deliciosa, gracias por hacer comida mexicana ❤️

Hey this was a great video! I improvised my own filling (one of my kids is a very picky eater) and they still turned out great. I couldn't believe how good frying the tortillas made the quesadillas. Will do it again!

What improvements did you do? Because i dont really like jalapenos..

    • @SS-kz7td
      @SS-kz7td 2 роки тому +4

@@Ammy_idk I mostly just omitted some ingredients. I didn't use any peppers, but I did use a blend of cheese. Shredded pepper jack (just a little, my kids don't like stuff very spicy), a little cheddar cheese, and then I had sliced Muenster cheese. I used a taco seasoning for the flavor. Don't worry if you leave out ingredients, the real gem to this recipe is how great the tortillas taste fried. You wouldn't believe great they will taste. One word of advice, be careful with the temperature, the tortillas will cook fast, I overcooked my first batch. Try it!

If I have kids, they aren’t allowed to be picky. You either eat what I make for you or you go hungry.

@@ShadeCavough It's not always avoidable-- I'm lucky as my child isn't very picky, and I try to ensure my toddler eats a varied diet, but when you have a child you learn the true meaning of "beyond my control"-- they often get picky as a phase starting at about 1 year old, and at that point they don't understand what hunger is, they're uncomfortable, and miserable and cry, but if you offer them stuff they don't like they won't eat it to satiate themself because they legit don't understand it will make them feel better. Same with pain meds actually; my kid resists tylenol when she's teething, even though once she has it she perks up-- she doesn't know it is what makes her feel better.
(Edit to add, they probably won't learn this til they're nearly 3 years old. And even then you might have a hard time convincing them that they should eat something if they don't want to. You can, but it's a pick-your-battles kinda thing)
Many parents try to find a middle ground instead of watching their child starve themself (and some kids would, because you have to understand they really don't gasp any of the consequences of not eating. The picky eating is often a phase in toddler years where they're least able to grasp this stuff), instead they offering things they like to make, and at least 1 side-dish they know their kid will actually eat.**
Or try to find other ways to introduce the flavour until they get used to it. My toddler inexplicably doesn't like green bell peppers (I love them) so I've been giving her pasta sauce with them blended in, in hopes she'll adjust-- But it isn't the end of the world if she is her own person and has different tastes than me. At least she eats spicy food and tofu lol
(**Note too, even for many older kids picky eating is also a phase, and they grow out of it as long as you keep offering varied foods. If you don't offer their palate probably stays narrowed.)
