These are great tips, thanks! The history and reality of diamonds and gemstones is really interesting and a history of human life and society. The history of jewelry and economics and society in general is a big influence on why and how diamonds and jewelry are understood. I feel that needs to be kept in mind when thinking about the value and relevance of jewelry. Like it was said in the video, natural stones were all that existed before lab stones. And, jewelry was a display of wealth, it was a store of wealth, and of power. That was very important to people in the past. They wanted to physically tell people who they were. This is still a driving factor for many people, this is how luxury brands and displays of wealth are still sold. But there are also many people who like ‘quite luxury’ and would rather just have nice things that are not too in your face. So now it’s just personal preference. I personally think people should not take advantage of others in selling jewelry, but it happens, so be mindful when buying. But I also think many people just want a look and are willing to buy something that looks appealing even if it’s not exactly natural or of a certain brand. Classic example is when silver plated table wear was invented. Before silver plating silver wear was silver, that’s what it was, and it was valuable. Then silver plating was invented and a base metal could look like silver but cost way less. People jumped on that idea and it is still popular today, and pricing is still reflected in the physical composition of an item. So somethings from the pasts social and physical reality are still with us today, other things have changed. If you just want to get a look then find the one that looks right, but jewelry is a physical thing, so it needs to also feel right and that feeling comes from knowing what a thing is inside and out, that feeling comes from the total reality of the thing and how you and others understand and create that reality. Great video!
Historically, people would buy certified diamonds, pay for appraisals, buy insurance policies and so forth, believing that jewelry had an investment value, and this was true for a long time. Diamonds are a lattice of carbon so certainly a lab-grown diamond is equivalent if not better as far as a chunk of carbon goes, but it isn’t what people originally wanted. People don’t want or need eco man-made crystals as much as they want to fool people they own a presentation of earth’s ability to form majestic and rare stones. Vapour deposition is the same technology used to make computer chips. It cheapens a struggling industry even further which has now started to sell to people who can’t afford natural diamonds, on the idea that cheaper alternatives are somehow better. Jewelry stores have sold quartz, tungsten, any all sorts of cheap products just to get sales. Vapour deposition can deliver on cheap diamonds, but the industry is only fooling itself. I think it would be better now to just get a solid 22k gold ring, or maybe natural diamonds, rather than man-made anything that can be mass produced for pennies. If you can make something for pennies, it is worth pennies.
This is the Best argument I ever heard: "You actually buying a real diamond, it just happens to be grown in a laboratory". I enjoyd watching your Video! and I love Diamonds! ; )
You could say it's like comparing farmed salmon vs river caught salmon . As long as the farm is not over fed ( often is and therefore fatty ) it's the same to me .
YES lab grown is awesome....This month i bought a 5ct round E color, ideal cut, vs1 for $5,000.00 US with IGI papers... it is affordable now. IT IS BRILLIANT and clear... no more blood diamonds for me... btw i went to a tiffany's and compared a 5ct in store...wow my stone was way better...visually better. No way i'm paying for blood diamond for $190,000.00
Just bought my first lab grown tennis bracelet after being strictly natural for years. It’s STUNNING!😍 Certified and everything I want as far as clarity and carat weight. The truth is natural diamonds also don’t have any resale value. Jewelers literally offer people 10% or less than what they paid for. Both are not investments. Buy it because you love it and could see yourself passing it down.
I was one of the bunch who thought they were fake. After countless hours of videos and books, Lab grown are my new fav. You can have your sparkle without breaking the bank. Thanks for the info
I think there the future. And they start from a diamond seed. Growing into a real diamond. Just a bit faster than it took them from the earth. Have a good Holiday.
Why not just buy a cubic zirconia or glass? If it not a natural diamond then it's not really a diamond. Giving someone a lab grown diamond tells them that they're not worth the value of a real diamond.
Diamond has a hardness of 10 and moissanite has a hardness of 9.2. Moissanite is twice as tough as diamond, and its refractive index is 80% higher than diamond. For people's pursuit of the characteristics of diamonds, low-priced moissanite performs much better than diamonds. Then there are laboratory diamonds that are environmentally friendly to nature. It is easy to obtain perfectly clean and perfectly cut diamonds, and you can witness the performance of a perfect diamond. .Most diamonds from mines that damage the environment have impurities and a yellowish color, and the cutting ratio is often distorted in order to maximize the diamonds.
The stock of mine diamonds on the surface is much greater than that of natural glass. When the mine diamonds give up artificial control of production, the price of mine diamonds will be much lower than that of natural glass and become worthless. Then we will lose money by investing in the GIA ID 100 instrument. Big.? This does not include the investment in training personnel to use the GUA ID 100 instrument.
Yea. Right. Your in dream land buddy! An engagement ring is something every little girl has been designing in her imagination since kindergarten! If YOU LOVED 🥰 her, you’d want to give her her dream ring. How much did your jet ski cost? Or whatever dumb thing you guys buy.
Many good tips. Thank you. Ten tips are overwhelming, so here are my three: 1. Natural Diamonds = Never buy if it’s not engraved, with its certificate number. It will need to be at least .85 ct in order to be big enough to be engraved. 2. Diamond Showing = Look at 3 diamonds that are the same size and price, side by side, under the same lighting. This applies to both Natural and Lab diamonds. 3. The spirit of a ring doesn’t end = Every ring will need cleaned or repaired, someday and the ambiance of the jewelry store is key. Don’t buy her ring, from a store that feels like a warehouse or an old dungeon. She won’t want to show it (the store) off to her friends. Finally, the money. Are you being taken advantage of? ABSOLUTELY.
That is incorrect information! I have a .80 gorgeous real diamond that is GIA engraved on the diamond. GIA is the world-wide best grading authority. I have the paperwork to prove it. I just bought a .70 GIA engraved diamond. Please, people, do your own homework as people can give fake information just like happened here.
@@hopespringseternal2624 Nonetheless, insist that your Natural Diamond have its certification number engraved. This is relativity new...DeBeers has a brand new Plan and nothing under .8 ct will be engraved. Also, DeBeers is starting a Rarity Category and changing one of the other 4 C's categories to include an "Origin Story". I watching to see how much of the new DeBeers Plan appears on new GIA certs. the new GIA certs.
I took in all the information you shared and as a former diamond broker I hear the subtext in your speech that suggests a natural diamond is better...because someday one would want to upgrade...or that an "entry level stone " is lab grown but I have to say...as a tenured old guy from the business who used to specialize in Canadian diamonds.... I'd buy a lab grown over an earth stone and look for the best characteristics of that stone. And get value over the natural stone.
Well said. I got my wife Lab grown earrings this past Christmas. After 35 years in the business, I never thought I would do that. But the value and quality are so good is was a simple decision.
IGI and GIA are the certs you want . Other certs can be bogus . My favorite specs for diamonds when I was doing custom jewellery was Color: E-F , Clarity : SI1 Cut Exc Exl Exl , GIA cert ( 40 years a goldsmith Vancouver) . Good video , sound advise . The pressure heat lab stones sound good .
It wouldn't surprise me if other countries don't have the same laws we have, and are not required to inscribe the lab grown diamonds. I can imagine that for a long time we have been buying lab grown from outside of the United States, and they are NOT telling us.
I totally agree with this! I normally buy gold and diamonds online, but my best deals - AND the pieces that also happens to be my best looking jewelry - were all bought in store at the jewelers. Live and learn.
You want to save a lot of money, skip the diamonds. Try and sell a real diamond at a pawn shop, you will not get much. Buying to impress your future spouse? Get a normal gemstone. Or better yet, use that money to buy a house. Diamond engagement rings are not an investment. Investment grade diamonds are not purchased at your jewelry store. It seems a lot of replies think that diamonds are great, buy as big and expensive as you can. Sounds like some people may be in the diamond retail business on this thread.
I love this. In fact, I asked my husband for a lemon quartz because I loved the look of canary diamonds. Unfortunately, one big compromise you make is that gemstones lose their brilliance over time because they scratch. I didn't realize how dull my stone had become until I sent it for service after 7 years to the jeweler who made it (even so, she charged under $100 for service and it came back looking new again).
@@fromscratcheewithstefquartz is too soft. I love Golden Sapphire, Princess Diana's ring, 9 on the hardness scale. Diamond is 10. Quartz is 7 and can scratch easily. 👍🙃🙏
Who buys a diamond to later sell it at a Pawn shop lol? Never crosses my mind and I’m sure it didn’t for many others. It never crossed my mind to buy a diamond as an investment ever either. Sounds more like if you can’t afford a real natural diamond then just say that but stop making excuses why not to buy one. People still buy diamonds and a house lol.
I remember I went all out a bought a Tiffany’s diamond necklace (1,500$)for my girl. Didn’t work out, went to sell it and they offered 300$ and that’s when I found out BECAUSE THEY TOLD ME, DIAMONDS AIN’T REALLY WORTH NOTHING is the craftsmanship you pay for. They also were the ones who told me about the constriction of diamond on the market to the amount there really is.
we can't afford FL, DE / K class investment diamonds. Were talking 20-50k/Ct. We get the common junk stones that only carries 10-25% resale, less for LG diamonds
Loved this video. Great insight and very informative! My partner recently bought a lab grown IGI certified diamond 4.9 carats, G color, VS1, pear cut, with a platinum band for a total price of $1,859 and I’m in LOVE with my ring and I am overall satisfied with the price. Lab grown is where it’s at especially if you want a larger carat size like I did.
@@germanybooker He bought it online from The Art of Jewels! He said it was a much better deal than if he would’ve ordered from Rare Carat or Brilliant Earth! The price was just unbeatable and he said he looked at several options. It arrived about two weeks after placing the order. Hope this helps!
@@germanybooker Of course! I should also add that my ring was purchased during their Fourth of July sale but even still the prices for their stones and settings are so affordable! I hope you find the perfect ring! 💍
Your welcome. You should know the prices have dropped since I made that video. So subscribe to my channel and check out the latest prices. I just made a video of 2025 prices. Good luck
I absolutely love my lab created diamond pieces. My main daily wear ring is a 2.4 CT round VS1 F color, excellent cut. Absolutely stunning stone, 1150.00. Paired with a 18k white gold band with almost a CT of pave set diamond sides, all in 2000 for the entire ring. Get compliments all the time, comments about that must have cost a fortune. I'll never buy another natural earth one.
I bought a few HPHT diamonds from Diamonds Of Color in Florida. I got them at wholesale and it was the best investment of my life. HPHT may not always test as diamond with electric conductivity testers because of the boron in them, but will test correctly with a thermal conductivity tester, fun fact.
There shouldn't be boron in Lab grown diamonds. It's left out to avoid fluorescence. Do the stones you purchased come with a proper certification like GIA or IGI? Thanks for your information
What website do you recommend buying a lab grown diamond for center stone? I plan to buy the center stone online and then go to local jeweler to build around it. I have looked at Loose Grown, Rimidi, Brilliance, etc but not sure which one to go with.
We are not really positioned to tell you who is trustworthy . If you find something you like you can call us or message and we can tell you whether or not you’re getting a fair deal.
A moissanite stone costs between 10 to 30 € a pop, 0.5 carat to 3 carat. No idea why you will pay 2-3K for a 20-30€ price tag. Nobody will tell you is not a real diamond, unless he's a professional.
Great video! I love BOTH natural and lab. However, if someone is really on board with the environment, get a vintage diamond. Not only are you repurposing, you are getting something unique, IMHO.
My first earth mined is around 1890 ish and is a rose cut monster 8.92. So 9ct it is in. 18k white with orange blossoms art. My other.is a 10ct, 8ct yellow tint moissinoite, 5, ct all different base colours and count less colour moissinoite. My all time favorite is a super flat profile double halo long oval 8ct moisanite. I JUST looked into a 29 cttw.péndant
@@LabGrownDiamondInfo i like the concept of recovered settings recasted snf preserved. Then using a lab stone in it. Both preserve the lost art and renew ecologically.
This is the first video of yours that I've watched and thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. QUESTION: I am having a lab grown diamond made from my deceased husband's ashes. The cost of this year-long process is 10 times what you say a 1 carat lab grown diamond should cost. I'd like your thoughts.
@QuinnsGoldsmith Thank you for your reply. I asked for a 1k cushion (maybe) cut, and the price was around $18,000, and I still have to get out set. Again, thanks for sharing your knowledge. Sandi
Yep ... lab grown diamonds are a game changer. I actually heard someone say "well, my natural diamond took millions of years to grow" ... try spotting that across the room! Back in the day ... I did my research and got a VS1 diamond from a reputable distributer (Blue Nile) at 1.39 carats ... for what I paid for it, I could get a 4 carat lab grown (5 carats if adjusted for inflation). BTW: I agree that 2-3 carats is the sweet spot ... anything else looks ridiculous on ... and they won't believe it anyway ... you'd have to be a member of the Rothchild's to strut a 5-6 carat natural diamond.
Glad to hear you're loving your collection! Lab-grown diamonds can indeed be breathtaking. If you're curious about the distinctions between them, our latest video compares lab-grown diamonds, natural diamonds, and moissanite. Enjoy your beautiful rings! 💍✨ ua-cam.com/video/BUkYO66X8HE/v-deo.html
My husband and I just upgraded my ring. We’ve been together 26 years, married 20. I kept my first ring didn’t trade it in. FYI they tried. The new ring is a mix of natural and lab grown the single stone is, princess cut. I get a lot of compliments. I switch between the 2. The upgraded ring is heavy and gets in the way. Husband spent a boat load!
One thing kind of the opposite of what I heard and read that HPHT actually is the one with hue color, however they can treat it to get whiter color, and CVD is the one with whiter color. If natural diamond has actual resale value like gold and wont loose 50% of its price then I would consider it but it is not rare like gold and it is all business, marketing manipulating the prices, however girls are all about diamond in this country (other countries are still not brainwashed with diamond yet).
What an education, I learned a LOT and it was fun to watch. Thanks for sharing your years of experience with such generosity and honesty. You seem to be a lovely guy... wishing you all the best!
Then why buy white gold at all? It is Rhodium coated like the silver jewellery... so save even more money and get a lab grown diamond in a silver ring, instead of a natural diamond in a white gold ring. They look the same (you only see the Rhodium coating on the outside).
I have. 5 Carat lab VVSI $8000 Love it! 🎉. I’d rather have my lab grown 5 carat than some teeny 1/2 karat earth diamond of the same qualities as mine that would cost more.
I have a 1.59 Carat IF D cushion cut in platinum natural diamond and my hand is small so anything over 2 Carats would look tacky on me or someone with small hands. I’m totally in love with my diamond it’s my 10 year anniversary upgrade and a year later I can still stare at it all day long.
They are but there a name brand. So you still want the same standards. The stone should be laser engraved with a cert to back it up. As a name brand you might pay more so check to see what a compatible stone cost. Many times name brands cost more. But an appraiser doesn't care who its from. They just care about the quality if the stone and what its worth. So compare quality for quality. If it's a fair (average) price then sure. But don't spend more for the name. Hope that helps. Terry
While I can't speak specifically about Pandora's lab-grown diamonds since we don't carry them, lab-grown diamonds are generally grown good quality. Let me know if you need more help!
I have a 2ct lab grown diamond and I didn't pay 10% of the price here. It is a brilliant round, set on a yellow gold band. My engagement ring in 1970 was only $100. Even jewellers need to look closely to tell the difference, using speciality equipment.
$100 in 1970 is about $800 today so, it sounds like more of a bargain than it is. I can make you a 2ct lab grown diamond engagement ring for $800 today right now.
My bf just bought me a pair of 1 carat lab grown diamond earrings. Super high grade and stunning. I'm pretty sure he paid under a grand for 2 carats total. He bought online and had a great experience. Will definitely be buying more in the future.

Just subscribed. Great information. What are your thoughts about Brazilian diamonds? I have been buying them for a few years now. Comes from Brazil of course, and then they are sent to India for the cut. They are heat-treated HPHT for clarity and to bring out their coloring. They are set in silver not gold to save costing. I had a jeweler reset one of my purchases a 1.7 carat princess cut stone that has a light blue coloring which I love actually, from a silver ugly ring to a simple solitaire 14K gold ring. Came out just gorgeous. The jeweler couldn't get over how beautiful this stone was.
Thank you for this information. It's really informative and helpful. I work with estate sales sometimes. I would like to buy a gem tester. Is there a certain kind I should look for or stay away from? I want to make sure I know exactly what stones are present in vintage jewelry
We have a really good tester. It tells the difference between natural earth grown diamonds, lab grown, Moissanite, and synthetic. But they are not perfect. They can send a false reading if the stone is dirty. You still need to be careful, or you can lose big time!
Just make sure they are Lab grown. The stone needs to be Lazer engraved with a cert number and you should get a certificate with your purchase. There are stones out there that cost $5.00 and there passing them off as Lab grown DIAMONDS. But there not diamonds.
Honestly, it should be around $100.00 It could be less, but there is shipping cost and so on. Bottom line around $100 for a very nice white .10point lab diamond
Upgraded my natural diamond to lab grown 4 .14 ct, 7,337.34$ certified by IGI,colur F,clarity VS 2, cut grade ideal, polish & symmetry excellent, flurences none,CVD. I'm starting to rethink my decision I have 30 days to get my natural diamond back. Help. Please Thanks
It all depends on the item you're buying. Some prices are higher because they are buying from a large group of suppliers. They have a good reputation. Just check around. Good luck.
Great video Terry, awesome information. Thanks. side note, did you know there's a clip next to your printer, or is that like a heads up to possible knuckleheads.
That's a pretty good observation! Many times, these videos are made in my office at work. So when I'm done, I go back to work. We clean up best be can. It's seems we need to do a better job. Thanks for pointing it out. Have a great day. Terry
The fact that lab diamonds are guaranteed to be conflict free is the best thing to me personally. Knowing that someone suffered and possibly died for me to wear a bobble is sickening.
A CZ is much softer. They scratch and fade in color over time. A lab grown diamond is the hardest stone on earth. So when it's cut properly, nothing can compare to its brilliance.
It depend if it's old inventory or not. If it's old inventory prices have dropped for natural and Lab grown. If you let me know what your looking for I can get you a price you should be paying now no matter where you shop.
I want both natural and lab diamonds. Natural for myself, lab grown to make a present for my loved ones. I don’t know the best stores to get them both. Natural- 1 carat, Round, F,G ( VS 1), excellent/ideal cut, No Fluorescence. Also 0.75 x 0.7 for earrings with same dimensions. Lan Diamond- 1 carat , DEF, VVS, VS1, Ideal/Excellent cut, No Fluorescence. Please advice. Thank you for your help!
Since 2016 labgrown diamonds have become normal thanks to internet. And the Natural Diamond smugglers and monopolies have cut the supply 4 million carats by 2020. Diamond monopolies in NY, TEL AVIV, SOUTH AFRICA , UK AND ANTWERPEN are getting soo nervous. It's over for Blood-Diamond business.
Thierry, great video! By the way, I named my son Thierry, but I digress. Great basic lessons on diamond purchases. Like you, I insist on HPHT in lieu of CVD. And yes, though I own many other stones, I just am not comfortable with wearing one on my wedding finger (I wear them on my right hand only). Yes, a diamond on one's ring finger! So again, thanks so much.
HPHT has been harder to get for me. I'm not sure if there are less in production or more desired. I always liked HPHT better but now there seems to be no difference. Just make sure it's a great color and it has a certification.

So where can one purchase a "Coman" gemstone? Or how 'bout those "diemands?" Yet you somehow know how to spell tanzanite. We suspect you're either seven years old or a very grumpy Boomer trying for laughs.
My question is, if you were to resell a lab diamond ring vs a natural diamond ring, what is the average percentage value that each would hold if sold? I know that you'll never get back what you normally paid for but wouldn't a natural diamond still hold more value than a lab?
Well, at this point, no one is buying lab grown diamonds back from customers. So that would be zero! You would get something for the gold. Natural diamonds over time go ip in value. So, over many years, you could get your money back or even make money. But that's many years.
Honestly the prices are all over the place. It makes you wonder if there really lab or are they synthetic. Synthetic stones can trick us. And cost very little. And sometimes there called Lab. I wish I could help you more. Good luck. Terry
I get everything you are saying and I thank you. Just for the heck of it how much would someone spend on a 4 carat oval lab grown? I have moved to a foreign country where I don't have a jeweler and doubt I could find lab grown here so my only option would be to buy online. Can you give me some pointers of how to purchase that way if any even though I know you disagree with online buying?

It’s true. You can get lots of good info from your local brick and mortar store. Assuming the person you’re dealing with is proficient and accurate. It’s true…you can compare diamonds in person and decide which looks better. However, once you buy it you no longer have the other stones sitting there to compare yours with so it really doesn’t make much difference. Bottom line….you WILL pay more at a local store. You can kid yourself into thinking the local stone is better…and maybe it is. But once a stone is isolated, it’s unlikely you’ll be able to see ANY difference. Can you tell a D stone from a G color if it’s sitting by itself? Can you tell a IF from a VVS? Which brings me to this fact…..if money is no object, buy the best possible stone available and ignore the price. If you have a budget, like most of us, buy a lab diamond and don’t go nuts. Nobody will ever believe that you can afford a 5 carat natural stone so don’t buy a 5 carat lab. It just isn’t believable. If you’re driving a 7 year old Honda Civic and buying your fiancé a 5 carat stone we all know it’s not a natural anyway. You’re fooling nobody.
You're right and wrong. I sell them less than online. And I am going to be there for years to service my customers. You can see a color difference with your eye. You can't see a clarity difference unless you use a microscope. And microscopes don't come with the purchase. Lastly, get what you want and can afford. If that's a 5ct lab diamond, then get it and enjoy it.
Hello, thanks for this great information.. if lab diamond comes with IGI and say ideal cut, D color, and VVS1 clarity, then can i trust that dealer?. I am curious if people can make fake IGI certification.
Great question. I believe most jewelers are just trying to make a living and they wouldn't go through the trouble to change a grade on the stones and hurt there reputation. Most jewelers became jewelers to help people. That being said the IGI certificate number should be laser engraved on the lab diamond your buying. That way you know the diamond and the certificate match. Hope this helps, enjoy your new diamond. Terry
Since many of us who see this video won’t be located near your shop to be able to come in and see lab frowns in person, can you recommend the best online option that you know to be reputable with great pricing?
Because I don't shop for diamonds on line I don't know who to recommend. If you find a diamond you like on line let me know the specks like size color and clarity and the price and I will tell you if it's a good deal or it's to much. Hope that helps. Terry
Maybe it my older thinking but I like the idea that it came from the ground ethically. I know a lab grown has the same properties of a diamond but my brain thinks like it’s cz. How would you persuade someone that this isn’t a “fake” diamond? Like I said could be old thinking.
Well, that's a great question. I'm old school myself. It's had to accept the fact that they are the same. For 30 years, I refused to sell any kind of lab grown stones. Almost all color stones they also make in a lab. Some look good, and others don't. So I said we are a reputable fine jeweler with no labs. Now pearls are not natural. They put a seed in the oyster. The oyster considers it an irritant, so it spins it around, trying to get it out of its shell. Turning it into a pearl. And that process has been accepted for a hundred years. I think lab grown diamonds will be accepted as diamonds just like pearls. I bit the bullet last year and bought my wife lab grown diamond studs. She lost one and said she would be fine with lab. So that I would not feel cheap, I got her large ones as an upgrade. She loves them, and they look beautiful. They also saved me a tremendous amount of money. It's a great question. I hope my explanation was adequate. Thank you Terry Q
@@LabGrownDiamondInfo I can definitely understand earrings. I would also lose one. Some of the prices of the lab diamonds while lower than diamonds. I noticed they were only 1/2 the price here.
CZ doesn't reflect light in the same way as diamond, so the look will be different. You can tell it from a diamond with a simple test that only needs a piece of paper and a pen. It's also softer than the diamond, so it will get scratched and will become dull with time. A lab grown diamond looks and behaves exactly same as natural, and is just as hard. If you put a natural and a lab diamond with the same C's next to one another, you won't be able to tell a the difference. If nobody told you which is which, and told you could take home just one, then how would you decide which is "fake" and which is "real?"
Thank you for a very informative video. You mention quite often in the video that a lab diamond is a good stepping stone. Maybe it's just me.. but a diamond is a diamond. No matter if it's lab or not.. and based on that I can't find a logic reason to not to for a lab grown diamond when there is more value for the money. For a investment perspective I understand that earth grown diamond is a better investment but as for a ring or any kind of jewelry to use daily I don't get the point of not go for lab grown diamonds. Question.. as an investment, is it worth buying a lab grown diamond, or would you recommend a eath grown diamond? Hope this makes sense. Sorry for my limited English. 😅 //Stanly
CVD= Chemical Vapor Deposition, NOT Disposition! You should know that! I’m not a jeweler and know that. But I do have an 8.30 ct lab diamond and LOVE it!! It’s better than my real one with higher color (H vs F) and less inclusions (VS1 vs VVS2!)💍💎
It's up to women if they want to go grey but I get mine coloured every month .I get it dyed brown.I did let it go gray a bit on top of my head.I didn't like the grey.Im 59 and will continue to colour for years to come.My late mother coloured her hair in her early 80s. .She had it a dark blonde...Also my younger sister who is 54 colours her hair a brown colour too.
You can walk into just about any jewellery shop in the world and buy diamond jewellery, you can easily buy diamonds online, they are not particularly rare in the scheme of things. If, on the other hand, you want to find say a nice natural ruby of good size and quality, be prepared to search and pay a premium price. Same with high end opals, they are truly rare stones., and there are plenty of other stones rarer than diamonds. Diamonds are exceptionally hard and durable it is true, and have their own appeal, but they’re not expensive because they’re hard to obtain (with the exception of the truly big stones and fancy colours).

I deeply dislike the idea of lab diamonds being a stepping stone or that only natural diamonds are "real". There is something very special and romantic about the time it takes for a natural diamond to be formed in the earth, and the market price of a natural diamond reflects that intrinsic characteristic. But arent lab diamonds....diamonds?!

I enjoyd watching your Video! and I love Diamonds! ; )

That is awesome!
What is the point of passing down a worthless sparkley rock? Maybe a ruby or emerald.. or sapphire but whats with you pea brained women and diamonds?
I was one of the bunch who thought they were fake. After countless hours of videos and books, Lab grown are my new fav. You can have your sparkle without breaking the bank. Thanks for the info

Knowing that I wouldn’t be killing the environment, people, or my bf’s wallet, I’d be thrilled with a lab grown diamond!

Many good tips. Thank you.
Ten tips are overwhelming, so here are my three:
@@hopespringseternal2624
Nonetheless, insist that your Natural Diamond have its certification number engraved.

Thanks for sharing!! I agree with you.

Nice
You want to save a lot of money, skip the diamonds. Try and sell a real diamond at a pawn shop, you will not get much. Buying to impress your future spouse? Get a normal gemstone. Or better yet, use that money to buy a house. Diamond engagement rings are not an investment. Investment grade diamonds are not purchased at your jewelry store.
It seems a lot of replies think that diamonds are great, buy as big and expensive as you can. Sounds like some people may be in the diamond retail business on this thread.
Totally agree. Thank you for this
I love this.
@paulproctor1111
Most Diamond are not bought as an investment anyway.
@@fromscratcheewithstefquartz is too soft. I love Golden Sapphire, Princess Diana's ring, 9 on the hardness scale. Diamond is 10. Quartz is 7 and can scratch easily.

Your your paying a lot for the designer and labor. But your also selling it back used. And they can't sell it used.

Should have mentioned, GIA certified, CVD not HTHP.
Ah, CVD, that explains the price. Great find!
I bought a few HPHT diamonds from Diamonds Of Color in Florida. I got them at wholesale and it was the best investment of my life. There shouldn't be boron in Lab grown diamonds. It's left out to avoid fluorescence.

Yep ... lab grown diamonds are a game changer.
I agree

One thing kind of the opposite of what I heard and read that HPHT actually is the one with hue color, however they can treat it to get whiter color, and CVD is the one with whiter color. If natural diamond has actual resale value like gold and wont loose 50% of its price then I would consider it but it is not rare like gold and it is all business, marketing manipulating the prices, however girls are all about diamond in this country (other countries are still not brainwashed with diamond yet).

Hi, great video! Are Pandora’s lab grown diamonds good quality? Would you recommend them ? Thank you so much!

And you have the best color in the world. Congratulations
Good information, thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Okay , there's no jewelry store 😑 in the area. What is the link to your store please thank you !❤

Diemands are the most Coman gemstone on the planet. And Thay are tanking fast. Buy a emerald or tanzanite far more upside.
We are Going live at 2pm EST Nov 1 to answer your questions!
Do you have any advice for lab-grown alexandrite?
Honestly the prices are all over the place. It makes you wonder if there really lab or are they synthetic. Synthetic stones can trick us. And cost very little. And sometimes there called Lab.
I wish I could help you more. Good luck.

I have a Diamond buying guide that you can fill out. Then we will give you a price so you can take that price anywhere. If you can't find one for the price we tell you we will get one for you if you would like.

Hope this helps.
From what you've said I see absolutely no way to buy anything but lab grown. What difference does it make.
I'm looking at buying a 4 carat bezel set oval. Can you give me your opinion on it and an idea of what I should spend? Of course I want the best in every way.
Yes, I think you are right.
I decided to come up with this form. It gives you any information you need.
We can do the bezel setting if you would like.

Ive sewn a couple of videos and no one has yet talked about the strength of a lab diamond.. how different are they???
I will have to check. I thought they were just as strong.

@@LabGrownDiamondInfo you are so awesome. Thank you Terry!
superb video!
Thank you
Terry Q
Very informative information.
//Stanly
Lab grown prices have not leveled off so natural is a better investment.
Good for you. I don't make them I set them.
Yes, and try to get two matching Ruby's with perfect color and matching cuts. It's almost impossible.
Great info - can you suggest a local place in the Los Angeles area
I'm in a group called RJO (Retail Jewelers Organization) look for one of them in your area. If you can't find one your happy with. Fill out the form and we will get you a current price and can get it for you if you would like.
Good luck.

I’m so glad that I don’t need to think about diamonds ever
I deeply dislike the idea of lab diamonds being a stepping stone or that only natural diamonds are "real". There is something very special and romantic about the time it takes for a natural diamond to be formed in the earth, and the market price of a natural diamond reflects that intrinsic characteristic. But arent lab diamonds....diamonds?!
How much a tennis bracelet from lab grown diamonds 17.7 carat VVS should cost ?

Quinnsgoldsmith.com/service/diamond-guide/
