My grandfather was a camera enthusiast so he had quite a collection of old cameras. But before he died he bought a D200. Since I am the only person in my family who really enjoys and is passionate about photography, I was lucky enough to get it.
I appreciate your video, the D200 actually is a great option for those who really want to approach photography as a serious hobby. I love the heavy tough body of this camera, and no big matter shooting in bad weather conditions ! Great value for money, yet you need some "real" passion to properly master it. Thx for your footage.
I agree with you about the colors. I bought the D200 to be a beater camera and it surprised me how good it is. For some reason I got some colors out of the D200 that I never saw from my CMOS DSLRs.
Yeah, though CMOS sensors may allow better technologies to be implemented into the camera that is more suited for the consumer's market but there is something about the colours of the CCD sensors that you no longer get and with the more modern sensors... Thanks for watching and for sharing your experience! Have fun shooting!:-)
If you are not asking for how many frames per second, or extra low light and AF ability. This D200 can still do the job with your knowledge. 12M pixel is good enough to see the details with a 1920x1080 screen.
Hi all, good vid David, we have 4, really good cameras. Ours we placed in retirement 2009/10 took one off the shelf (2020)charged the battery and started shooting still takes great pics.
Yeah, they are still great cameras. Some results still surprises me even when compare to some modern cameras we work with but they also give a little bit of a nostalgic digital age from the time period :-) Thanks so much for sharing and for the compliment! Much appreciated, wish you a great time and have fun shooting! :-)
I have 4 units of D200 after I owned D4s D810 D700 D300 D300s at a very good price and condition and so much extra stuffs which I cannot resist. Those D200 are built like a tank and you can still take good picture with experience and knowledge. They are oldies and goodies and also can do the job. A little bit thirsty on battery but you can double your power with a battery pack. Why not prepare more batteries as they are still using the same battery as D300 D300s and D700. Keep them in a dry place and they can last much longer.
I still use my older Nikon dslrs quite often (D1X, D70, D200); though I also use my D7100 the most. I love the challenge of getting great images from these older bodies. The trick is to use GOOD lenses and know how to use manual mode and all the camera controls. Fro has a great video of a photo shoot he did at an old motorcycle repair shop using a 4.1 mexapixel D1X, with amazing results. The D200 is still an excellent camera with many professional features you will not find in a D3xxx or D5xxx camera. Built like a tank, it will serve you very well.
Hi, thank you for the comment and I do agree about the image quality and the challenge of capture images with older cameras. Nowadays, camera manufacturers are trying to develop more technical cameras that offers more dynamic range and losing more image characters just because of trying to catch up with the satisfaction of the market. Thus we have more and more cameras that produces more similar looking images with very little characters. Of course, the creativity comes from the creator but the tools should also help to maintain the soul :-) Thank you very much for commenting/sharing and I wish you a nice day and have fun shooting!:-)
I lost all my gear about 2 years ago. It was devastating. Finances haven't allowed me to purchase new gear and i havent taken photos since. Recently my dad offered to lend me his old d200 to get back into photography as he knew how much i loved it, watching this has gotten me psyched and given me renewed hope. Thank you. I feel it will be a good basis to start again. Maybe buy a 35mm prime to go with it. Thank you.
Heyy, I am really sorry the hear the you lost all of your gear 2 years ago and how that have resulted you in not being able to take any photos... That being said, I am also happy and happy for you that you are slowly picking it up again! The D200 is a great photography camera, I can confirm that for sure and getting a 35mm prime is definite a great option as it is a sharp lens that will deliver great results as well as practicality. :-) I am sure that if you focus more on the context and what you want in from the images that you want to capture, you will be able to produce amazing results with this camera. I am also glad that this video have 'renewed' your hope and I do wish you all the best in photography because it is such a great artistic hobby that will allow you to experience as well as express a lot of things in life. :-) Thank you very much for sharing this story with me and the community, I really do feel very honoured now:-) Thank you as well for watching and have fun shooting!:-)
@@DavidCuhls Thanks again! I've had the camera for 2 days now, shooting with nikon afs 17-55mm dx 2.8G and so far its been a lot of fun :) the cons are definitely there vs newer cameras more noticeably for me being battery life, low light performance and accessories compatibility, none of my old stuff works (speed-light, wireless transmitter) and the ones that are compatible to buy, super expensive lol. but yes its brought me back to humble basics and really testing out my skill vs reliance on tech. Overall just loving being able to shoot again! can't wait to test a prime on this thing.
Hi, congrats on the camera and I am glad that you are finding it fun to shoot with, that's really the whole point of photography:-) Yeah, it can be a little bit annoying that some of the accessories does not work but there is always a workaround these things and of course, as you mentioned, this camera does not spoiled you with features but it does deliver amazing results when you can get it right:-) But that is also part of the fun, which is to try to get it right and enjoy the photography more than technical reliance. Then you can also focus more on the context of the frame:-) Thank you so much for sharing your story and for watching, very much appreciate it!:-) Have a great time shooting and if you have anything to share, feel free to share at anytime!:-)
Ohhh yes !!! I love colours that comes out this CCD...my passion are orchids, and this is the best sensor for flower shooting !!!greetings from Málaga / Spain.
Thank you! That's great, congrats on your new camera! And shutter count of 31785 is also good, still in a good condition then:-) Thanks for sharing and have fun shooting!:-)
Loving the shutter sound! I have only a couple of 512 MB compact flash cards (one card is good for 30 RAW files!), now I gotta order an SD-adapter fron Ebay!
Yeah, the camera has a very nice shutter sound :-) Haha, maybe getting bigger cards as well and try travelling somewhere and capture more moments and nice images with it;-) It's a good photo camera after all:-)
Thank you very much for this nice video. As a beginner, I'm looking for a D200, i can't afford a full frame but i don't care. Your review is more more more than welcome, and your way of speaking and explaining is really clear and relaxing for the Greek that I am :) Please keep going
Thank you for your feedback and compliment and I am glad that I was able to provide something that's useful to you! :-) Let me know if you have any questions and I will do my best to answer them. Otherwise, I wish you a nice day and have fun shooting!:-)
Hi David, just one criticism to make and I see that it is a commonplace when old digital cameras are mentioned and it is "condemning" them to take photos on social media. The resolution is more than enough to print at the size you want. Of course, the pervert who likes to zoom in on a screen at five thousand percent will not like it. Of course it has its limitations but as an all-purpose camera it is still interesting. There is a video by Nigel Danson where he compares it with a Z7 and even makes an A3 size enlargement. You'll see in the comments that people like the D200's photo better even though it doesn't have the sharpness or contrast of the Z7. Many people agree that the D200's images are still more natural and real. Many new cameras are already doing a pre-edit in the RAW and in the photo you see things that were not there at the time of taking to make them more "spectacular" even before the photo is destroyed in post production.
Thank you for the compliment and for watching! But you don't have to find a D200 if it does not suit your needs or at least what you want. It is a great camera but it is not the tool for everybody, but if you really like the camera and if it suits your needs and you like the colours from the files, then go for it!:-) It's all about capturing that moment and tell your stories. :-) Have fun shooting mate:-)
Yeah, it's a great camera to capture moments and the results are usually very nice as well :-) Thanks for watching and sharing:-) Have fun shooting!:-)
Thank you very much for watching as well as for sharing your story, very much appreciated it. :-) Yeah, the D90 still deliver great results for sure and I am sure you'll be able to produce some great results with both D90 and D200. They are both also very reliable as well as capable cameras. Thank you very much again for watching, I wish you a great time, stay safe and have fun shooting! :-)
The D200 is running $150 USD now. I'd look at the D80 at the current price point of $60 USD unless you require weather sealing, and a heavier camera. They have the same CCD sensor.
I certainly prefer the Jpegs from my D200 over the Jpegs from any of my D8XX cameras. It would be Awesome if Nikon could make a High Pixel CCD Sensor.. I find the CMOS Sensors terrible in comparision
CCD sensors will definitely produce different look than CMOS sensors. However, nowadays camera manufacturers definitely have the capabilities to program the look of the older CCD sensors into the picture profiles of the camera. But I think they just don't choose to. Personally I do think that CCD sensors delivers very unique and would definitely have more (technological) advantages a little over 18 years ago. But the "new" look that the newer cameras have isn't really because of the type of sensors but rather how the camera tweak the image profiles every so slightly to suit the majority demand of the photographers. I wish that my eos R would deliver the same colours as my much older 5d mark III but it doesn't. I wish that my x-t3/t4 would deliver the same look as my X-T2 but they dont despite when I set to the same film simulations, WB, etc. And they all have CMOS sensors. Furthermore more, a decade ago, Leica also made a switch from CCD to CMOS but they were still able to keep their users happy (in terms of image quality) because they were still able to maintain their look. So as I said, I think that nowadays it is no longer about the sensor type that fully determines the look but it really is about the manufacture's decisions based on their research and majority feedback. By the way, as far as I am concern, I don't think that Nikon make sensor anymore (at least not in the past 15 years~~ practically most of the DSLR and mirrorless sensors are Sony sensor...) I think you very much for watching and sharing your opinion. Much appreciated. I hope you have a great time, stay safe and have fun shooting :-)
Thank you for sharing I have X 3 Nikon D 200 cameras , the dynamic range is fine on the Nikon D 200 & I have never had a problem with the dynamic range on any of my Nikon D 200 cameras , I also have the Nikon D3100 & & D 3200 & the dynamic range on the Nikon 3100 & 3200 is awful .
I don't know your background but don't know much about this camera in the real world. I shot with this camera from 2006 to 2012 and managed to get my images into two juried gallery shows, one of which was for 40 of my images images made with this camera.
Congrats and thanks for sharing your story, much appreciated ☺️👍🏼 I didn’t do that much with this camera of course, the point of this kind of video that I make is to focus on the photography itself rather than thinking that equipment is better. Of course equipment matters but only to a certain extent but one can also start photography with just a very cheap secondhand yet very capable camera and grow with it☺️ That was really the point of this video, I didn’t mean to brag about anything else, I hope you understand. And thank you again for sharing your story, wish you a great time and have fun shooting! ☺️
It is indeed a professional camera that many professionals still relies on today but in terms of technological level of the Dxxx camera, it is still considered as a semi-professional camera though (albeit a top of the line semi professional camera)
Modern photoshop resize will turn that 10 mp image into 18 without losing any details or blurring so 10 mp is not an issue anymore. This camera is a gold standard of consumer oriented CCD censors.
Yeah, I do agree, the ccd sensor in this camera is still great and will deliver great results. About photoshop though, there is still blur if you pixel peep, if not, it’s totally find. ☺️ Other than have a great sensor, this DSLR is still really reliable and capable. Still more than good enough for professional. Thank you for watching, I wish you a great time, stay safe and have fun shooting. Happy holidays! ☺️
I got this camera in a trade and did not like it at first. I am use to shooting with a Sony a6000. Now, i really enjoy this camera. Not easy to carry around but the images I have gotten out it have been great. Very fun to shoot with and still looks the part of a Pro Camera. Buying a cheaper camera allows you to focus on the basics of photography and leaves money in your pocket for lenses. You can always upgrade the body later and keep your lenses. Great video.
Thank you very much for watching and also for sharing your story/experience, very much appreciated it. :-) Yeah, the D200 is still a good camera that will still deliver unique images. Furthermore, it is still reliable and being a simple camera means you can focus more on your shots. :-) Thank you very much again for watching and also for the kind words, really means a lot. I wish you a great time, stay safe and have fun shooting! :-)
My D200 is still going strong with the 35mm prime. The only reason I'm thinking of replacing it is to look for something a little smaller/lighter that I don't mind taking in my work bag every day.
Yeah, I totally understand, for the technology inside the camera, you can get better technology in a smaller and light mirrorless cameras nowadays that doesn't cost that much either and smaller/more portable cameras will give higher chance of taking pictures because you will be able to bring it out more often to capture moments and create images/memories wihtout having to think if you should really bring the big heavy thing with you.. I get that, that's why I also shoot with Canon and Fuji mirrorless cameras....
I'm a crappy photographer. Picked up a D200 used a few years back to get into the hobby. I've been able to shoot the milky way with my old D200. If you wanna see what an average picture taker with a D200 can do. Look up forestrune on flikr. It's a great camera with a lot of weird issues, once you get past them and learn it, it's good.
Hi, thank you for sharing your story! And yes, it is indeed a camera with a lot of weird issues for today's standards and once you can get over them, it's a good camera afterall:-) You are not really a crappy photographer, some of your photos are actually really nice, your photos are more of memories than aesthetic, that's all, but you are not a bad photography :-)
@@DavidCuhls Thank you. The D200 was a challenging first camera for me. Something funny. I read an article that stated learning to shoot with a D200 is like getting your license in a formula 1 car. Lol.
Haha, yeah, that can be said about this camera and many semi professional DSLRs from that time:-) Those cameras has some sort of feel that modern cameras don't really have anymore
Thanks for watching and also for the compliment! Very much appreciated it. :-) Regarding the lens recommendations, I think it really depends on what you like to shoot but here are some that I would recommend: 1. 50mm f/1.8 2. Sigma 12-24mm f/4.5-5.6 3. Nikkor 35mm f/1.8 4. Sigma 105mm f/2.8 5. 24-105mm f/4 6. Nikon 20mm f/1.8 G These are some of the lenses that I think would work well with the D200 that aren't expensive but still delivers good image quality. I hope that helps a little... I thank you very much again for watching and also for the kind words, very much appreciated it. I wish you a great time, stay safe and have fun shooting! :-)
Thank you for watching as well as for sharing your opinion/experience, very much appreciated it. The D80 is indeed a great camera that still outputs great results. I am sure you've produced a lot of great results with it already. :-) The two cameras are great cameras that produces identical results but I think it's also more about which target audience the cameras were aimed at. Because for me for example, I prefer cameras that are also tough and I know that I can rely on it when shooting in unforgiving environments as well. :-) Thank you very much again for watching, I wish you a great time, stay safe and have fun shooting! :-)
The milky plastic sheet in front on top of the screen is indeed a screen protector that Nikon used to supply with every Nikon DSLRs back in the days. I hope the helps. I thank you very much for watching, stay safe and have fun shooting :-)
@@DavidCuhls thank you. I just bought a d200, but never owned a camera before. You think it’s important? A tiny scratch wouldn’t particularly bother me but idk if the screens getting ruined is a big concern
@@NoPlanNoProb I see, congratulations on getting the camera, I am sure you'll produce good images with it. :-) Despite being old, it is still a very capable camera for sure. Don't worry if your's didn't come with the screen protector then it's totally fine, don't worry. :-) The glass on the LCD is also tough and by not having the screen protector, it actually helps you to see the image better. :-) I hope that helps. I thank you so much for watching and I wish you a great time and have fun shooting :-)
For this camera, if you would like to stay on a budget, I can recommend the yongnuo 35mm 1.8 (it's around 60$ on Aliexpress), Yongnuo 50mm 1.8 (also around 60 to 70$) and the Tokina 11-16 f/2.8 (the second hand version is even much cheaper but this lens is also sharp yet still allowing a lot light into the camera) :-)
I really want to be a photographer and i'm just wondering if it has a gyroscope thingy and/or if you are able to control exposure and if it can produce sharp photo?, i know i'm asking alot from such an old camera but i still just really wanna know.
HI, you are not asking a lot, don't worry. Regarding the question about the gyroscope, I am not sure what you mean but if you meant a built in image stabiliser then this camera does not offer that but you can buy lenses that has image stabiliser to mount with this camera. :-) Furthermore, this camera does allow you to manually control everything from iso to exposure, aperture, exposure compensation and pretty much any other manual controls you'd expect from a photography camera:-) This camera will produce sharp images as long as you mount a sharp lens in front of it.
@@williamsjolin7574 you mean for long exposures, especially nightscapes? there are GPS gyros that will move the camera to correct the earth's rotation for sharper night skies.
Hey i bought a Nikon AF nikkor 50mm 1,8 D Lens but my camera doesnt have a focus Motor build in so i can not use this Lens is it worth to pick up a d200 for a round 50-60 € to use the Lens and as a 2nd camera ?
You're welcome and sorry for the late reply... But congrats on your new camera!!:-) Have fun with it and if you have any questions, always feel free to ask!:-) Have fun shooting!:-)
Hi, it really depends on what you will be shooting, I would recommend getting the Yongnuo 35mm 1.8, the Yongnuo 50mm 1.8 as those allows in a lot of light into the camera as well as allowing you to produce nice blurry background with them. Then the Nikkor 18-105mm is also good for a general purpose lens albeit not so good in low light nor shooting portraits, and products.
Good choice Vlad, the D200 can still give great results. To balance the weak ISO performance I bought a preowned Nikon 50/1.8 af lens and I could get decent pictures by night in my town. It's a valuable general purpose lens, light to carry around offering an excellent value for money as it sells around €85.00/100.00 in perfect condition and it works great on the D200. There are, several editions of the 50/1.8 out there, most of them are ok, however take a glance at Ken Rockwell tutorial site before buying. It can be an alternative to the suggested Yongnuo lenses. Greetings.
There are tons of fine MF AI Nikkor lenses on the used market, often at cheap prices. The 200 easily meters with them in aperture priority and of course the camera confirms focus. Of course, there are AF Nikkors on the used market, too. Even the 18-55 AF kit lens is quite good and quite cheap.
Hi, yeah it depends on where you live. Of course most o the options that I see is also about 100 to 150 euros but I just had to look harder on different offers and waited. So I guess you just need to wait a bit and look even harder to get the 50 euros offer. :-)
Hi David I just bought one of these to replace my d80 which suffered an accident (I had to pay 90 euros though for a mint one) I always thought that although of a lower resolution my D80 produced images which looked very pleasant and when I compared the results with my more modern camera I thought my eyes were somehow deceiving me. Then I heard about the different technologies CCD and CMOS. I am sort of hoping that the D200 will perform like my D80 but with a more solid robust body.
Yeah, there are definitely quite a few differences between the CMOS and CCD sensors. The way it captures like, the colour tones, power consumption, and many more... I am sorry to hear about what happened to your d80, I hope you will enjoy using the d200 on the long term though. It is a very different camera indeed though I've never used the d80 before but I think the d200 will also get the job done and will deliver very nice images to you as well. Thank you for sharing your experience and for watching, I wish you a great time and have fun shooting. :-)
Hello bro. Can you name for me a good mirrorless camera that i can carry with me .with a low price .I'm just tired of smartphones cameras and just want a good camera to shoot moments that's all not a professional work
It really depends on what you need but if you need just a good budget mirrorless camera without caring about having the latest features nor outstanding video qualities (also for used) then here are a few: Sony A5000, Sony A6000, Sony A5100, Canon eos m3, Canon eos M6, Canon eos m10, Canon eos m100, Canon eos m50 just to name a few :-)
Micro four thirds gets little respect, but you'd be surprised at how good it is; and the best value proposition in photography. It will get the job done. I have a 200 and love it, but usually shoot with my Oly EM5 because it's much easier to carry around all day.
got a Fujifilm S5 Pro for $20 today, all rubber fell off/molten, dead on board battery, heavily scratched with extreme abrasion, has 12k on the shutter, best camera i've ever owned
Heyyy, that's a really really good deal mate! Congrats and wish you a lot of fun with the camera and have fun shooting! Thanks for watching and sharing man:-)
Wow, that's a great deal! I got one recently with a bag and lenses for $100 at a Goodwill. Got it like a week after I bought a D5200. I so not like the 5200 as I didn't realize how annoying it would be to use older lenses. The Fuji is definitely more flexible but I'm selling it anyway. I want a D700.
If you are referring to the lenses that I have on my D200 then I only use the kit lens (18-55mm [the original kit standard kit lens]) and the Yongnuo 50mm f/1.8. :-)
Can you explain more about the issue? What was your last setting, what did you do with the camera before it reacted like this, did you check the dial on the side of the camera next to the lens amount whether the camera is set to continues autofocusing, single shot af or manual, etc?
maybe your camera has some issue of back or front focusing, d200 dont have in menu focus calibration wherein you have to calibrate it inside (right wall before shutter mirror) using Hex allen wrench.
Still my main camera, this is why : www.flickr.com/photos/100851743@N02/albums/72157703893793001 Great results if you use modern software or Nikon NX-2/NX-D for the first step, NEF to Tiff, avoiding Adobe camera RAW that creates noisy like grain structures that is not even there in the original file.... www.flickr.com/photos/155811692@N04/
Thanks! Great video, really informative. I’m not super into photography but hope this will serve my needs. I just need something that will perform okay under bad convention hall lighting, lol.
Thanks for the feed back and for watching and I am glad that you found it useful!:-) I think this camera is still a great camera to use but I also think that maybe something like the d300 or the d300s might be better for the bad convention halls (though I am not sure how bad of the lighting of the convention halls that you are photographing are) but the d300 or the d300s should do a better job at low light than the d200. :-) Those two models also focuses better in lowlight (if you don't want to use the focus assist beam) But if you are using brighter aperture lenses and maybe some flash then the d200 might be just fine as well :-)
That’s nice, it’s still a nice camera at the end of the day that still takes nice pictures. :-) congrats on having it! Thanks for watching and sharing your story, hope you have a nice day, stay safe and have fun shooting! :-)
Purely for the image quality, the D3100 is technically better due to more modern image processor as well as sensor. The D3100 will also offer higher resolution sensor as well as a sensor cleaning system, which is beneficial for keeping small dust particles off of the sensor. But the look will be different on both cameras though. The D200 will have more of the vintage digital look because of how colours were processed back then and the sensor is a CCD type sensor. The D3100 will have a more modern digital colour to it and a CMOS sensor as well.
The D3100 has higher resolution, but the build quality of the D200 beats the D3100 by a mile. If you want video, then go with the D3100. I use dslrs for photos and video cameras for video. I believe that any time you try to blend those together something is lost or lessened by the mix. Also, the D200 has a built-in focus motor which makes it compatible with any Nikon AF, and even the older manual focus lenses. Only AFS lenses will give auto focus on a D3100.
Ohh wow! That’s a bargain! And congrats on the camera and I am sure that you will get some amazing results from the camera. ☺️ if you have any question feel free to ask me at anytime and I will do my best to answer, otherwise I wish you a great time and have fun shooting!! ☺️📷✌🏻
Hi, you are right, the D300 does have better sensor, lcd, features and overall slightly better image quality. However, if one knows how to take good pictures, the D200 will still deliver. :-) Also its harder to find the d300 at around 40-50 euros range (secondhand), so this camera would benefit those who have limited amount of money but still like to get started with photography...
La D200 no es vieja, es antigua que no es lo mismo. NO existen las cámaras "semi profesionales o profesionales". Ningún catálogo lo especifica. Ellas, NUNCA han estudiado Fotografía. My grandfather was a camera enthusiast so he had quite a collection of old cameras. But before he died he bought a D200. Since I am the only person in my family who really enjoys and is passionate about photography, I was lucky enough to get it.
Wow, thank you for sharing your personal story! Carry on that legacy and have fun shooting! :-)
Nikon D200’s design is timeless!
Agree ☺️

Thanks for sharing and for watching, the D200 is indeed still such a great camera :-) I wish you a great time and have fun shooting:-)
Those colors are precisely the reason why I’ll never sell my D200.
Size means importance. I have a Nikon D 200 with a battery grip and nice glass. I walk around with it all day so people know just who I am.
This is the last proper camera with a CCD sensor.
Probably is :-)
Agreed
No, the Leica M8 and M9 have a CCD sensor also!!!
@@ansgarbook1414 , maybe I should have defined “proper” 😂 and include the price factor in that.
Ohhh yes !!! I love colours that comes out this CCD...my passion are orchids, and this is the best sensor for flower shooting !!!greetings from Málaga / Spain.
Nice video, thanks! I picked up a D200 for 50€ today. Clean body, all rubbers intact, shuttercount 31785.
Yeah, the camera has a very nice shutter sound :-) Haha, maybe getting bigger cards as well and try travelling somewhere and capture more moments and nice images with it;-) It's a good photo camera after all:-)
@@DavidCuhls wow 50 bucks are nothing! I got mine for 100
how to check the shuttercount on any camera ?
Thank you very much for this nice video. As a beginner, I'm looking for a D200, i can't afford a full frame but i don't care. Your review is more more more than welcome, and your way of speaking and explaining is really clear and relaxing for the Greek that I am :) Please keep going
Thank you for your feedback and compliment and I am glad that I was able to provide something that's useful to you! :-) Let me know if you have any questions and I will do my best to answer them. Otherwise, I wish you a nice day and have fun shooting!:-)
Hi Johnny, go to MPB.COM for great deals
@@newtoyouphotography7624 Oh nice, didn't know this website. Thx a lot!
My D200s are what I use exclusively for the past 10 years
Yeah, it's still a great beast, thanks for sharing and have fun shooting! :-)
Thanx for the great video...
I like your pictures very much...
But now I have to find a D200, well done.....

Good video. Recommend getting a glass screen protector as the nikon things suck. I love the d200
You are right boy! 'she '.is a great camera. The skin tones are fantastic. Good luck for your channel and for your job.

I really love using this camera to record my life!
Yeah, it's a great camera to capture moments and the results are usually very nice as well :-) Thanks for watching and sharing:-) Have fun shooting!:-)
Does it shoot videos
It doesn't sadly
Just a week ago I bought the D90. It still delivers....just as the D200 I think. 👍🏽
5:32 (goosebumps). I'm definitely buying one!
You need to have shot film to appreciate this camera. Nice to know it's good enough for facebook in your view.
The D200 is running $150 USD now. I'd look at the D80 at the current price point of $60 USD unless you require weather sealing, and a heavier camera. They have the same CCD sensor.
Este fue un gran video para mi, gracias❤❤
By the way, as far as I am concern, I don't think that Nikon make sensor anymore (at least not in the past 15 years~~ practically most of the DSLR and mirrorless sensors are Sony sensor...)
I think you very much for watching and sharing your opinion. Much appreciated. I hope you have a great time, stay safe and have fun shooting :-)
Thank you for sharing
I have X 3 Nikon D 200 cameras , the dynamic range is fine on the Nikon D 200 & I have never had a problem with the dynamic range on any of my Nikon D 200 cameras , I also have the Nikon D3100 & & D 3200 & the dynamic range on the Nikon 3100 & 3200 is awful .
I think that the camera is a Professional one not just semiprofessional. It's the same series of Nikon Dxxx
I kove Nikon D200 .. 🤩🌟
Lol.
Haha, yeah, that can be said about this camera and many semi professional DSLRs from that time:-) Those cameras has some sort of feel that modern cameras don't really have anymore
bro nice video...can u give suggestions lens for this nikon D200
Thanks for watching and also for the compliment! Very much appreciated it. :-)
Regarding the lens recommendations, I think it really depends on what you like to shoot but here are some that I would recommend:
1. 50mm f/1.8
2. Sigma 12-24mm f/4.5-5.6
3. Nikkor 35mm f/1.8
4. Sigma 105mm f/2.8
5. 24-105mm f/4
6. Nikon 20mm f/1.8 G
These are some of the lenses that I think would work well with the D200 that aren't expensive but still delivers good image quality.
I hope that helps a little... I thank you very much again for watching and also for the kind words, very much appreciated it. I wish you a great time, stay safe and have fun shooting! :-)
Hi.
Thanks for the presentation. The D80 suits me better, it is smaller, lighter and gives the same image quality.
Thank you for watching as well as for sharing your opinion/experience, very much appreciated it. The D80 is indeed a great camera that still outputs great results. I am sure you've produced a lot of great results with it already. :-)
The two cameras are great cameras that produces identical results but I think it's also more about which target audience the cameras were aimed at. Because for me for example, I prefer cameras that are also tough and I know that I can rely on it when shooting in unforgiving environments as well. :-)
Thank you very much again for watching, I wish you a great time, stay safe and have fun shooting! :-)
Thanks, I've been using the D80 for 14 years :)
Have a nice day, take care.
My dad just give me one love it
That nice!:-) It is a great camera:-) Have fun shooting!:-)
CCD sensor cool great revirew
thanks! Have fun shooting!:-)
Is that just a screen protector over the screen?
I thank you so much for watching and I wish you a great time and have fun shooting :-)
thanks for the cool video! which lenses do you recommend for this camera?
@@DavidCuhls oh ok, but do you have any lens recomendations? preferebly at an affordable price.
@@williamsjolin7574 you mean for long exposures, especially nightscapes? there are GPS gyros that will move the camera to correct the earth's rotation for sharper night skies.
Hey i bought a Nikon AF nikkor 50mm 1,8 D Lens but my camera doesnt have a focus Motor build in so i can not use this Lens
is it worth to pick up a d200 for a round 50-60 € to use the Lens and as a 2nd camera ?
I think it's worth picking up this cameras because for that price you are still going to get such a great performer:-)
@@DavidCuhls thanks for the answer i bought one Yesterday at Mpb.com with a 17k shutter Count for 79€

I just bought this camera without any lenses.. what lenses would you say are good for taking good pictures?
Hi, it really depends on what you will be shooting, I would recommend getting the Yongnuo 35mm 1.8, the Yongnuo 50mm 1.8 as those allows in a lot of light into the camera as well as allowing you to produce nice blurry background with them. Then the Nikkor 18-105mm is also good for a general purpose lens albeit not so good in low light nor shooting portraits, and products.
Good choice Vlad, the D200 can still give great
results. To balance the weak ISO performance
I bought a preowned Nikon 50/1.8 af lens and I could get decent pictures by night in my town.
Nice camera! but..50 euros? I couldn't find it at this price... i see more or less 100/150 without lens
Did you regret buying the D200 over the D80?
@@MyMegaJOKER2 no...both are great
Hello bro. Can you name for me a good mirrorless camera that i can carry with me .with a low price .I'm just tired of smartphones cameras and just want a good camera to shoot moments that's all not a professional work

Micro four thirds gets little respect, but you'd be surprised at how good it is; and the best value proposition in photography. It will get the job done. I have a 200 and love it, but usually shoot with my Oly EM5 because it's much easier to carry around all day.

:-) Those two models also focuses better in lowlight (if you don't want to use the focus assist beam) But if you are using brighter aperture lenses and maybe some flash then the d200 might be just fine as well :-)
With a similar camera, between 2006 and 2013, I lived decently, I bought a new car for € 40000, today with a D850 it is much more difficult ...

Ahh. If only Nikon made a camera with a 24mp Kodak CCD sensor...sigh
This camera make video
The D200? As far as i am aware, it does not take videos~~
Which have better quality. D200 or D3100?
Nikon D300
I just picked one up for $10 AUD. (~$6.10 EUR). So keen to use it!

Better off getting a D300.
