Dude, I've gone down the rabbit hole with Bluegrass thanks to one of my students. Since brain surgery has given me better control of my fine motor skills, my dreams of picking faster and cleaner are now more realistic than ever. Thanks... your videos are already beyond helpful, even after 30 years of playing guitar!
I think this is about as good as instructional UA-cam guitar videos are ever going to get right here with this guy. And I'm about to turn 70 and I've been playing since I was probably 8 years old
Wonderful lesson! One of the best on UA-cam. I especially like that you referenced the source of each exercise. It made them more special to me. I play many genres of music, acoustic and electric, and this applies to them all. Thank you for taking the time to share for all us pickers!
The fact that you can call out those instruction AS you play them clearly shows how stellar a player you really are. WOW! These are brilliant. You don't even need to know theory. Just get in there on your favorite cowboy chord and have at it! Cheers, Aaron!! Thank you, kindly!! Hope you and your family have a Happy Holiday and a Healthy, and Prosperous New Year!! Cheers!!
@@aaronjaxonguitar God bless you, sir! Got a kick out of your Joe Rogan comment! I do the same thing... pop a long play video and jam! I get a lot of mileage out of Vice Grip Garage and Stud Pack, too. Those guys have some fun tunes during interludes that help break up the monotony of repetitious practicing. 😏 I'm totally looking forward to getting these new patterns under the ol' fingers. Thanks again! Merry Christmas!!
Really really great tutorial. Thanks! Definitely going to try them. Also, would you in a future video share your recording setup? I was wondering how you achieve such good guitar audio quality.
Great video. It is interesting to see that you are using the pick angled up technique, Aaron. I find that way very accurate after changing from the downward pick angle. It took me a while to get used to it but now it is natural for me to do it. I use both ways of angling depending on what I am playing and what effect I want it to have on the sound. What are your views on pick angle and pick grip? It would be great to see a short video on it
