Great lesson, I downloaded TABs. Is there a backing track available by chance?
@@greggoldmanI forgot to add the backing tracks to the email but I’m updating it now. Shoot me an email and I’ll get them sent to ya. Thanks
You are the best guitar teacher I have ever seen. Greetings from Brazil. God bless you always.
Wow thank you so much! That means the world to me. Thanks and God Bless you too
Thank you Aaron. Great freebee ! Very much appreciated.
Hey thank YOU for watching! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🤟🤟
This is fantastic. I've got the bluegrass picking technique down, but I haven't grasped how to choose the notes for soloing over chord changes. This is giving me ideas for playing the changes up the neck. Btw, that would be a great subject for a video - how to play changes up the neck n different positions instead of the first position.
Hey thanks! So glad to hear that. I have a video on the exact topic you suggested. Check out my video titled “Advanced Bluegrass Flatpicking Licks Through GCD” where I give you 5 more ideas that move up the neck. Thanks
New at bluegrass. This is exactly the teaching method that I've been looking for. Thank you so much for your time and your lesson!
So glad to hear that! Thank YOU Jeremy
Also new at bluegrass, so Thanx for showing it slow an’ easy. Great lesson 🤘🏻
Thanks Daniel!
Amazing lesson and exercise! It’s just what I spend hours on UA-cam looking for. Thanks Aaron 🙏
That's a whale of a free lesson, my friend! Thank you for all that you're doing. There are a few Bluegrass UA-camrs who give more than they take. For me there's Marcel, Tyler Grant and now you.
Hey thank you so much. That really means a lot and it’s a honor to be mentioned beside those guys. Really appreciate you
What a great lesson. Huge fan. Thanks!
Hey thank YOU Jeff! Glad to connect w ya
Great instructional video... thanks for sharing this Aaron! I received the tab and it is super helpful. For any interested, the timing on the video for the different licks is: 1, 1:55; 2, 3:39; 3, 5:07, 4, 10:42; 5, 15:45.
Great lesson man this is my first vid I've seen of yours but decided to subscribe right away
Hey thanks so much! Glad to connect
XLNT!!!from Australia!!!THANKS
I've searched far and wide all over the Internet, and this one video will help me tremendously I think. The way you present the licks at the beginning of the video, I totally get it and it makes a lot of sense. Do you have more videos that are very similar to this one particular video? Thanks for all you do
Hey James. Thanks so much. So glad to hear that. Yes, I’ve got a few more like this one. Hit the links to check em out:

I had no idea the lead singer of Clutch was such a grass picker!
Great video.
Thanks Garrett!
Superb
Very good lesson. Thank you sir
This is great Aaron. Are the scales playing the changes or is it just major G scale? Il probably try and see what scales are there.
Thanks! It’s a combination of several things honestly. Just learn the ideas really well and then you’ll start to see the method behind the madness so to speak
Wonderful lesson; does it ever come naturally when to do 2 down or 2 up strokes in a row? When I'm alternating direction for a while how do I know a 'double down' or 'double up' is about to happen (and why does it happen)? Thanks again!
Did you have to teach yourself to pick with the back edge or is that natural for you?
You are the best guitar teacher I have ever seen. Greetings from Brazil. God bless you always.
