So I set the anisotropic filtering to x16 in the Nvidia app, and then what? Do you mean that in MSFS I can turn some option off? I you could clarify what you mean with this? My southern accent comes out occasionally haha. I meant “in” the simulator settings you can turn off anisotropic filtering if you’ve got it set to 16x through the nvidia panel for MSFS. My understanding is that the nvidia setting may, depending on your system, improve the picture quality by doing this.
@@nocturnalsimulations Yeah I had the same question, and I figured it out, thanks guys. Open MSFS > Option/Setting > General (search anisotropic filtering) and then turn off.

My 960M runs it. You need to lower resolution a bit and disable "allow apps to run on the background (search background apps)". Follow his steps except for x16 and turn it off. The rest will help and also set everything to minimum. If possible get into your BIOS for fan set always to MAX. There are some more tricks you can use to your GPU and CPU but not more than 20% of gain from this point onwards. Also make sure to clean your fans and ventilation system Edit: you may also notice a performance improvement on winter due to colder air, but that is less than 2% for me
Also make sure no other windows are opened or in use, also check startup programs non-essential are off as well as to only use GPU dedicated for MFS and delegate the rest to intel card if you can Edit: Lifting your computer if it's a pc with a book will make airflow be smoother, although I haven't seen much of a difference (except if it is coming from a completely obstructed airflow) not more than 2% gain on that

advice for xplane11?
I don’t personally use xplane 11 but I imagine these settings could help. Give it a go and post your results!
@@nocturnalsimulations Okidok, I will and thank you
Nvidia...ok, now what settings for old 570 gpu settings? lol
570!? Does it actually run MSFS? Lol
Also make sure to clean your fans and ventilation system
Edit: you may also notice a performance improvement on winter due to colder air, but that is less than 2% for me
Also make sure no other windows are opened or in use, also check startup programs non-essential are off as well as to only use GPU dedicated for MFS and delegate the rest to intel card if you can
Edit: Lifting your computer if it's a pc with a book will make airflow be smoother, although I haven't seen much of a difference (except if it is coming from a completely obstructed airflow) not more than 2% gain on that
Actual video starts at 1:08
For whatever reason, he repeats the intro three times.
We're all allowed the occasional mistake ;)
i like butter
not the settings
RIP AMD users I guess
You’re being a bit dramatic don’t ya think? There’s probably settings you can do with AMD hardware too! I just don’t have an AMD system, nor much experience with one to give advice.
Why repeat the same intro 2 times?
Sleep deprived mistake haha
@@nocturnalsimulations Work of Gaming? You kindly set an invite to a Friday event? I have only been on MSFS 2020 for a month and not sure how you join and plus my flying skills are not great. Advise would be very much appreciated.
@@douglasrobinson7857 there’s something in the works for an event that’s on a different day coming soon!
Man I clicked this video because it's short and I thought you would get right to the point. But even here you spend 1 minute just babbling ffs....
Ha, it’s probably less than a vast majority of videos out there! Even with a double intro 🤣
@@nocturnalsimulations exactly. but you know whiners gonna whine. there are other videos out there 10 to 15 min long that do not cover some of the things you covered in under 3 min. the only knock on this video is you did not show how to shut off the MSFS game settings to use these settings. other than that best graphics config video i have seen.
Blah blah blah one minute in and still nothing get to the point.
ok karen
On point, thanks.@@funnyfunky9949
Why do you repeat yourself in the first 53 seconds of the video? It’s fucking annoying. I’ve subscribed btw 😂😂😂😂
Ah! So that’s how I get more subs! Genius! 🤣
It was a mistake that at this point I am leaving in there just so I can laugh at the comments 😅
