Little addition, if you use a pihole in your network it might(depending on the blocklists you use) prevent the connection all together, this video pointed me in the right direction to get mine fixxed due to the test button actually showing me before and after disabling pihole for a second.

And mine also wouldn't STAY "up" on Teredo, so i also had to employ other means to keep it from resetting. thanks for this! And thanks GalacticClown15!
Holy crap.. I tried the Fix It button and that actually fixed it for me... that's the first time ever that Windows actually fixed a problem for me with a button press!
@@crispeay thanks, will do :) it sure makes a difference, sadly also in fps.. just had a hard crash flying over Manhattan, where previously it was absolutely fine. May have to dial down my graphics settings a bit now...

I don't really see much difference to be honest, I had high hopes because before I did this fix my Nat type was blocked, but I still have really blurry ground textures and the textures are only good when I get up close, if you have a discord or anything like that I can show you what my game looks like, amazing video though 👍
They have now changed quite alot and this video is quite dated, no longer do you need to edit the LOD as you can change it in game to 400. Other things may be worth doing is clearing and re-doing your rolling cache. After SU5 mine had issues again and doing that fixed it for me. is it okay if it says NAT type "Moderate"? I pressed fix it because it said teredo couldn't qualify and then when i did check again it said my type was moderate. Will that still fix it?
Ha lol im so stupid i bought a Amd 5900 and i always had lags stutters playing on medium settings and i thought i have a bad pc than i downloaded AMD Ryzen Master and what did i see it was always working on 300 Mhz now i obtimised the setting and he works with 4674 giving a boost i never saw before i can switch it all on Ultra now and it is smooth i never had a bad pc i only didnt know how to use it lol after 2 years i found it out omg.
But something went wronge my cpu is now running with 4000mhz and at first i had crash at starting windows after switching the boostperformence off in Bios its starting and working again can it be that for a Amd i9 5900 i need a stronger power hardware like not 500 but maybe 1000?
@@Farinha880 oh that sucks, check everything is switched on in game. Also check if you have an Nvidia card that Nvidia experience hasn't automatically optimised the games graphics
UPDATE 2024: I still get alot of comments on this video, this video is pretty outdated now I made it in 2020 and will not work for most people especially with Windows 11. UPDATE: Also found if you are struggling with texture or graphic issues and you have an Nvidia card, check the geoforce experience if you have it installed has not automatically optimized the game. If it has click revert and see if you have anymore improvement
Hi , this feature has been removed since winter 2023 update , i dont know which one it is .. Microsoft keeps removing features and annoing Win 10 users as much as they can .
@@crispeay well , CMD commands seems to be working , although i dont know if Teredo is still relevant in MSFS .. i guess that blurry ground textures are standard now , due to XBOX users ? who knows .
My teredo is not blocked, nat type doesn't say moderate, xbox networking is saying everything is fine, but only getting low resolution scenery, switching photogrammetry off makes no difference, switching cache off makes no difference. I'm going to try this fix, but I'm wary as I have a networked pc that ladt time I messed with ipv6 settings buggered up my pc being on my network.
If it passes the Xbox networking test then it shouldn't be a network issue

My NAT is now on Strict after I did these fixeses, and all the fixes I have tried did not help me to get NAT open, the best I can get is NAT strict, My question is can I get good loking ground textures and good looking photogrametry from real world when my Nat is Strict and everything else on toredo is Connected, 0% packet loss, 180ms ...
I bought the game from microsoft store. How does this have anything to do with xbox networking? Is this fix relevant for me? I have blurry ground aswell high altitude fast speed
It's relevant to everyone, the ground textures are streamed to your PC not downloaded. Xbox networking is a pc app used for Microsoft's gaming connections Check what I've said in the video see if it helps
Sorry it says change lod config location on your pc. Change it to where? All my fs2020 files are on its own dedicated ssd. My userconfig file is under c drive appdata roaming etc. Which is the lod file and should that be where fs2020 is installed? I have steam version.

edit: wow that teredo thing like doubled my graphics quality and i gained 8 fps as well O.O what is it actually? i've never heard of it before. that's like amazing. it makes me question the whole handling of msfs again though. why why why do they have to overcomplicate things like that? every update is a new let's hope they haven't downgraded performance again situation ann you have to search through countless of forums to get a solution to a problem which shouldn't be there in the first place. that whole sim is so chaotic....
Teredo is from what I gather the connection to MSFS servers, if it is blocked you have no connection. This affects pretty much everything in MSFS. Graphically you should see a huge improvement as now you will be recieving all of the streamed ground textures! Yeah I'm with you, been new to flight sims with MSFS but i feel like if i dont play it for a week I need to go and fix everything and find solutions for new issues or why thigns arent working. Glad it helped though!
@@koshhh if it keeps reverting it back to 2 you can, honestly after fixing the teredo issue I went back to 2 as my CPU didn't do very well at handling 4

yep, be careful. It will tend to keep resetting after the "fix", so watch out!

I'm unable to find Xbox Networking on my PC. looked through all my setting and there is nothing there

I'm not sure, you may need to look at port forwarding to fix your NAT issue

A moderate NAT should still work, the main thing you want is Teredo not blocked.

You need to be much more specific for the LOD change. Thanks for sharing where its located, but what line item are you referring to changing to "4"?
Pretty sure I said your changing the LOD for terrain and in the second section it says "Terrain
LoDFactor 2.000000" change that to a 4. Good luck 👍
Crispeay got it. All you said in video is recommend changing your terrain loading time to 4. So I wasn’t sure what line that was referencing.
