Im only a couple months into the sim world. Even so, I was immediately drawn to, and now addicted to, “study level” aircraft. Fenix a320, Kodiak 100, ATR 42/72, and many others. Its a great time to be a sim enthusiast. There are a lot of aircraft in the works too. Going to be an exciting couple years ahead of us. And Simbrief and Navigraph are nearly a must if one wants a realistic airliner experience
Thank you for suggestions I am off to download a few puffin and fsftl . Flew the pmdg 737 for a few years. But decided I would give the fenix A320 a go it's been a learning curve but getting there at moment I have decided to fly around Europe. Started in Oslo to Bergen using a sAS skin. If you have not flown in Norway u must try it. The scenery and clouds loved it will be doing some VFR there just not in the bus lol . Just to let you know I am 64 and love flight sim. Thanks again and take care smooth skies. And in god we trust everything else we check. Lol
One addon that I would like to see, is a replacement for default MSFS ATC. I haven't had the courage to try VATSIM yet, and on longer flights, sometimes I go afk during cruise and squawk 7600. I think that would be a big no-no on VATSIM. MSFS ATC just leaves a lot to be desired... this week it assigned me a landing runway that is in direct opposite of AI traffic, with an aircraft landing at the same time as me in the opposite direction.
Can you tell me where the ATC happens? Is it vatsim? I mean the 'funny' atc where they talk to you and it's not as serious as Vatsim, it's a famous video series and I just want to witness that kind of chaos.
For me some things like getting to work with vatsim and other Navicat is. Eey difficult because I don't have the expertise to use this. You need to know alot of procedures for IFR flying and don't know how to talk to ATC. Where do you find maps that help you navigate trough the airport? And settings wise, you have a billion possible settings. When landing at a big airport I get framedrops but also my gpu is backtrottling. From 99% load inncruise to 50-70% on the airport. So heavy scenery that asks more and a gpu that is doing less costs you a lot of frames. I had backtrottling on 2 graphic cards wit MSFS2020
Hi mate, Great questions. For your first paragraph, VATSIM is confusing initially but they offer training on their website and you can watch tutorials on UA-cam for it. Navigraph provides Taxi/Airport charts or you can the free Chartfox website to get them. And yes there are many setting combinations, which is why I don’t make settings guides as I can’t guarantee anything for anyone! Hope this helps :)
@@PilotStudd Thank you for your comment. I have to step up my skills around the other parts of flying, but now I know where to find them. Settings is for every computer different. But do you also have backtrottling GPU in gpu heavy scenery, while your CPU is just relaxing at 30%.
Like this comment for a free cookie* I hope you enjoy this video, I think it is one of my best yet!

hey! you didn't edit your comment to say cookies out of stock! Scammer!
@@FluffScripts I’ve been caught 😕
I just flew my first IFR flight on vatsim from Manchester to Dublin with the pmdg 737, it went great!
Ok
I love vatsim. It’s a game changer. Makes the sim so much more realistic!!
ok
nice!
@@purplemate340 Well now I only fly on vatsim, that was a year ago 😂
You forgot to talk about Track IR and more importantly FSrealistic 😮!
Two great ways to boost realism! Will include them in a future video 😅

Are you using FSLTLTL?
@@strangegoat7382 You mean FSLTL? Yes I am.
@@strangegoat7382 And I am using live weather too, so the wind direction in MSFS should match real world, so it should match FSLTL...
Get Real traffic and PSXT ( need both ) it’s subscription -based, but if you want super accurate airlines, get it. Bad description ik
thanks for the update and video
a few handy tips thanks I will try out the AI live traffic
Have fun!
Great video with great advice! Thanks for this!

Where can I get the A330 fly by wire?
I just downloaded mine on Xbox but the cities have no detail. Just very minimal landmarks. Don't underestimate what's going on??

Where do we find the Ground Services X payware?
What’s your graphics setting?
How am I gonna do vatsim without knowing what to say to the atc
Watch tutorials here on YT, that's a great place to start. Connect to VATSIM in Observer mode and monitor the frequencies, you'll pick it up quick!
