Great strategy. 2) Usually when that happens to me it's because the nightmare left off at a point that gave the dream a dark implication for my real life and I need the end of it to be resolved or else I remain scared even after waking. (ex. someone curses me in the dream to die a horrible death, and I have some kind of anti-curse potion to stop them, but the dream ends before I get to use it).

Well, that exact thing happens to me! there's just something so fascinating about nightmares sometimes.
I love it when a song describes a universal, subjective feeling, sonically, accurately AND in a unique or novel way. This song is a perfect example. Panic can be a heavy slow, exhausting, undulating creep, specifically if what you are most terrified by takes time to truly manifest. I simply adore the realization of this track.

Some of the pictures and scenes in this don't look actually painful, just uncomfortable. But after a while, they will easily become extremely painful, kind of like how panic takes time to manifest before it becomes uncontrollable fear.

I, I don't know how to describe how I felt when I first heard this, so surreal..
Been struggling with panic attack for years now. I used to find this video meaningless. But now, god, how good it feels to just keep watching and watching knowing that it exactly visualize how I feel through all these years. It is hard to describe the feeling of being in complete "there is something wrong" mode for years. You just described it in 5 mins. 10/10.

This has darkness in it. Nothing cruel or evil. Maybe slightly twisted. Like when you are overcome with feeligs like sorrow, fear etc and can feel the ache in your chest so badly that there is no choise but to succumb to it and relish in it, let it soothe you.

It’s that… Maybe this is just a me thing. It’s that feeling of numb clarity when something really really bad happened, but you don’t know exactly what to do yet. It’s classic dissociation, which not everyone gets. But I sure do.
It’s like being more alive and pure than you’ve ever been, and also like being dead and inert internally. There’s a tempest screaming up from the bottom of an infinitely dividing void below. Somehow you know the tempest is eating things vital to you, but you can’t actually feel it anymore, except abstractly. Or at least not for right now.
Creepy how good this song is at that evocation.

The visuals, the music, it's pure art. In all of the videos. Beautiful.
Looks like more a dream, one of those that you don't remember, but keeping still in your ears, head and eyes. But never knows exactly what happened, just the feeling in your mind. This song have a sound of marching, the walk of the soldiers in the beginning of the war. Seems like the alert of a war and the emotions in one. It's obviously scary, but cerimonial too; divine and horrible. It is a "milk shake" of feelings that I don't know; or never feel. But it's reverberating, like my dreams when I'm sleep and in the mornings. Going on and on forever... Until I forget. War.

Its not often that an artist can make sounds of uada, but this has pegged it perfectly. The panic which resides inside the cage, is slow building or rapid fire. Outta no where the panic attacks, the panic button has been pushed, the panic is on.

It's calming because it's been your natural state?
It’s a cold and lonely calmness. Like a cold walk through the streets of a city right before sunrise. Buzz fading from the night. Fatigue and sleep asserting their presence slowly, but you are for now liberated from truly feeling the toll.
Nobody really wants panic, but 3 minutes to go through ALL the parts and reach the out door is cathartic. True panic comes from not believing you will make it to the out door.
Someone should contact this man for their next psychological thriller

I love Forest Swords music, but damn that video is good !
I found a way to explain my anxiety attacks. It's like I have an invisible glass plate in my hands, i am tired of carrying it, I can feel it slipping and I can't do anything about it. All I can do is fear it's impact on my bare feet. It's sound, crashing, over and over again. It's like that in your chest, in your head, taking up all the space like a thick heavy fog, throughout your entire body. And it can last 20 seconds or 30 minutes, sometimes even hours. And it doesn't make sense, because I don't have a glass plate and I am just having lunch at university.
What an interesting piece of art.. its message is so clearly yet it feels so mysterious.
