Storytelling of this is wow wow wow
What i got from the video is that is trying to represent our times self- doubt and loathing. The girl turns into a devil when she looks at her reflection in the mirror, thus reinforcing the idea that she is not happy with her true self. The rest of the video represents her struggles with her identity, and running away indicates that she is trying to escape her negative thoughts. When she approaches the green creature, who envitably rejects her as she is different, the action of putting the green mask on was to try and disguise her true self, to be accepted by societies generalised norms and values. Climbing the tree is a symbol of her trying to climb to this "goal" which in unattainable, as she is not being true to herself. However when she enticed by the spirit singing in the clouds, she then takes an alternative path in which she is then infactuated with the spirit. The dancing and the removal of the devils skin implies that she finally feels comfortable and that all her self doubt in the moment of time has disappeared. Her waking up back in her bed suggests that she is back in touch with reality, and that it now up to her to decide whether to use her spirtual enlightenmight throughout the rest of her life, or to go back to the tiresome self doubt.
I think the fact that it is in nature is not insignificant, she is a part of nature and ugliness does not exist in the forest.

I first listened to this song back in November 2021 while being mentally stuck for hours not working on my part for a group presentation, and it helped me take a breather while visualizing something that really helped calm be down. I finally un-stuck myself and was able to work again! I still use the same visualization to this day whenever I feel too paralyzed to work. I much appreciate this song and the beautiful animation paired with it. Sappy as it is to say, it really changed my life.

the peace I feel everytime I listen to this song and watch the video I love the meaning behind it so much
when i was younger i was very self conscious about my body, i was always disgusted by my figure and the way everything looked on me. one night i met this girl who looked amazing, her style was very unique & everything she wore looked so good on her, she introduced me to this song one evening, i learned to love myself, and then i fell in love with her too. shes now been my best friend for over three years and some nights i cant help but cry myself to sleep listening to this because it reminds me that i may never be able to hold her the way I’ve always dreamed to.

Me and my girl first heard this song in December 2021 when me and my girl were pretty messed up drinking, between the 8th and the 15th, a week or two before my aunt passed, before our relationship went through a lot of hectic times, but we made it through together. Sometime after December 2021 we heard out of time and it just hit different as well. I can say that this music has been a big part of our good and bad times during our relationship so to say the least, I’ll always be fond of it.
