- What is going on guys, I just wanted to drop by and give you an update on the Buyers Stainless Steal Salt Spreader. Now that we have it dialed in, it is working great. But, I had no idea this connection matters! I hope this video helps you out!

@@D.Stephenson yup, mines ordered in. We plow as well and been searching for a salt and sand solution to add to our tree business. Thanks again for the info, what sort of vibrator did you use? never seen or heard it before.
I have been running this spreader for years and it has worked well for me. I recommend getting a 4'x8' sheet of HDPE and place it on the bottom of the dump insert. I bought a sheet from menards. It allows the salt to slide to the auger without having to raise the bed very high. It also prevents the salt from freezing to the bottom. I was ready to switch to a v box until I installed the plastic liner. Hope it works well for you.
Thank you for this insight! Literally, exactly what I have been considering. I just felt like it was such a pain having to continuously monitor the salt in the insert, lift the insert high but not too high, etc. I will definitely get a sheet of that! 👍🏻

It does say it in the manual online if you reverse wires it will change spread but I’m glad I saw this video I’m not going to lie I would of never know that personally maybe a buddy but not me on how that spreads and the correct way

also the dealers wont know much just because they rarely sell/build these i run in to the same prob everytime i have a question on it
The spinner though is a standard systems nothing special about it. So it should have been caught that they put the wrong spinner. Definitely should have been noticed when they tested it to make sure it works properly.
Find a boss dealer and buy boss equipment
We would not be able to run a dump insert and have their bulk salt spreader on this truck.

I'm really surprised that dealer is still in business if that's how they operate 🤦♂️ definitely makes for some stressful times when they want to be a pain..
We’ll this particular dealer has the ODOT contract so they are set. Seems like that is who they care about, not the business owners...
