great video. I'm thinking about getting something like this for next winter are road to cut down on price of sanding. looks like I could set up so 1 of the 4 of us in the neighborhood could use it if run off a car battery in bed of truck
My controller just blinks red 3 times. It has power. The spreader is not working. Wiring seems correct. The only think not connected is the orange and yellow wire which is for lights/turn signal I believe
Hey, great video, but i am just wondering if you have a video of how you connect the wiring on the battery because i do have intall the boos plow by the dealer and and no sure how connect the salter wiring on the battery thanks
I do not, sorry. There should just be two cables to attach to the battery. Red one will go to the positive side and black to the negative. Let me know and I can maybe make a short video for you.
Can that be run through the rear split window and plugged into the 12vot accessory without drilling the firewall?? Can it spread salt mixed with antislip gravel?
So how good does that Boss spread salt? I'm looking at going to a direct drive like this one. My snowex has been great but the motor/trans unit is not a good design like the Boss is
That lever keeps you from unlatching the spreader unless the wheels are folded out. The red lever should drop down every time the wheels are flipped out so that the latch can be flipped open.
Best Buy was boss v plow last winter this winter salting time... think I’m going boss or salt doggs tailgate broadcast salter... I like this attachment for boss anyone have input on what is better?
Fantastic. THAT'S the way you do an instructional video.
Thank you. Hope do more soon.
Just purchase this used with the truck 👍🏼great video helps a ton thanks!

The 12volt accessory outlet would not provide enough amps. There would be a risk of either blowing a fuse or over heating the electric motor.

Works great! Is on a buddies truck and they are very happy with it.
What is the red lever for on the wheel assembly?

@@Lawnsandmore Thanks - I have the same one and couldn't find anything about it in the directions lol
@@jeramye4377 yes, the directions are not very clear!
Can’t you use your towing connector to power the salter instead of running from the battery? Is it not enough power?
I don’t think it would provide enough amps. I believe it would cause the wire to get too hot.

My only experience is with Boss. Sorry, I can not help with that.
Any chance you can leave the link to the product??
Sorry, we do not sell them or have any affiliation with someone who does. You should be able to get one from any BOSS Plow dealer.
